food was highly overpriced half of things on the menu on their Facebook page and online menus they don't carry anymore they don't do shakes anymore the ice cream oh, I ordered a shrimp basket which is supposed to come with eight pieces of shrimp, a side, which I chose fries, coleslaw and hush puppies I ordered the shrimp basket, fried pickles and fried mushrooms and no drink. Total was $25 which I thought was awesome until I got my food. Did a pick up order as I only have 30 minutes for lunch and didn't think to look at my order before I left nor would I have had time to fix it, so not a good experience overall the only good thing I could say, was the lady at the front who took my money was very nice and happy and that's about it. The fried pickles and fries mushrooms were good but my shrimp basket only had eight shrimp and maybe 15 fries no hush puppies no coleslaw. It was undercooked fries that or chewy like they've been out for half the day the shrimp was mediocre . Zero out of 10 recommend won't go back.

    Descent diner burger and fries.

Since this is the only "game" in town, they can afford to slack. Small menu, and ice creams. Nothing to write home about. Flies galore. It pays to unfold a napkin, and cover your meal while you are not physically manipulating your food. The burger tasted fine, and the service was fine. The limited menu, read no breakfast, and the overall cleanliness of the restaurant was really disappointing, but as I said, it's the only "game" in town. I will probably head to the grocery store tomorrow and cook my own. I will not be back.

Well, first night in Calico Rock, and we are hungry! There isn't much after 3:00 pm for visitors or guests of the community. We found Between the Buns on Yelp and decided to try...big mistake. First of all, although this is not really the fault of the restaurant is the horrible configuration of the parking lot. There is very little parking. Open the door and flies galore! The server was very friendly, lots of smiles. The menu was very limited, couple kinds of burgers, some hot food, I think the special was chicken fried steak. Plus shakes and ice cream. Food came out hot, and the fries were hot and crispy but the burger was just that...a burger. Pickles were piled in the middle, lettuce was the shredded variety. I do not believe I will be back.

Awesome Homemade Specials, amazing specialty burgers; must tryst are: the Pirate burger, the grilled onions with the fried pickles & ranch sauce & American cheese, the Cowboy doubles meat with swiss cheese, bacon topped with bbq sauce & an onion ring, the PepperSauce burger, cooked in salsa grilled onions, & pepper jack cheese. Double bacon mushroom swiss, is so big it requires a fork & knife to eat. Often heard "best burger I've ever eaten"

Tucked into the heart of the charming little town of Calico Rock--where Main Street still feels…read morelike a scene from a simpler time--you'll find a local gem that's well worth the detour: The Printing Press Café. This cozy spot is everything you want in a small-town café--warm, welcoming, and filled with the kind of smells that make you wish biscuits counted as a food group (and here, they just might). Housed in what was once the town's original newspaper office, the café beautifully blends history with hospitality. While you wait for your food, you can browse vintage photos and clippings that tell the story of Calico Rock's past--think of it as breakfast with a side of nostalgia. Now let's talk food--specifically the biscuits and gravy. Mercy. Fluffy, golden biscuits smothered in rich, peppery gravy that's clearly made with love (and maybe a bit of magic). It's the kind of dish that makes you close your eyes after the first bite. The rest of the menu is solid comfort food done right--generous portions, great flavor, and prices that'll make your wallet just as happy as your stomach. Add to that a staff that treats you like family (the kind you actually want to see), and you've got yourself a true small-town treasure. If you're passing through Calico Rock--or heck, even remotely nearby--make sure to stop in. The Printing Press Café isn't just a meal, it's an experience with heart, history, and heavenly gravy.

All the flavors we tried were delicious including the chocolate with habanero, bourbon butter pecan (SO good), candy bar bomb, and key lime pie. Really good quality ice cream, loved their sign saying what unhealthy things they don't include in their ice cream, like artificial food colorings. Texture of the ice cream was perfect and flavors were high quality, and the price was cheaper than I expected. Check this place out!

Pretty straight forward in letting us know free samples were offered and showed waffle cones. Scoops were generous. [Ice Cream] wow! Definitely can taste they use a homemade premium cream base, not a singular taste of any ice. Almost custard like because it was so rich. I tried banana pudding (very banana but the fresh natural kind) and root beer float (tasted exactly like the name!!). I got German chocolate cake (vegan & gluten free) and Chocolate Chunk Brownie. My friends got vanilla and peanut butter fudge with caramel. We all Kept going back for more. German chocolate cake was one of the maybe three vegan options. It was very decadent and honestly I have no idea how this was vegan. It was as rich and creamy as the non vegan ones. Happily not icey at all!! Unlike other vegan ice creams. There was a quite a bit of coconut shavings in each bite. Definitely an amazing vegan chocolate flavor - vegan ice cream makers need to take note! Chocolate Chunk Brownie was extremely rich. It said it had brownie chunks and chocolate chips. However, after getting 2 servings of it - there was no brownie in sight. Which disappointed me along with I wish it was a more deep chocolate taste. Vanilla was definitely rich and creamy. Waffle cone was sweeter than others. I think they added extra vanilla - absolutely one of the best waffle cones I ever had! [seating and shoppe] outdoor seating that was shady in the eving perfect for a summer evening. Interior had seating and paper towel rolls. Beautiful bright colors inside. [overall] definitely a rich creamy homemade base to the ice cream flavors. I went back for seconds!
