We really enjoyed our food after hiking and swimming! They need a better sign outside. But they serve alcohol and have a great menu. I wanted the BBQ nachos, shrimp and fish basket, Cajun shrimp pasta, and a few burgers lol. Decided on the cowboy burger and it was delicious. Waitress was super sweet, got us a box and to go drinks. Nice staff and decent and affordable food. Our waitress did a great job and was freidnly and nice. Had gluten free pizza and it was okay, it didn't have a ton of flavor, got pineapples on it and they were tasteless. It's okay though because the food is reasonably priced. This was the second time we ate there. The first time was excellent & we thought we'd try our luck again. It was Tuesday night and BTB was packed. The libations were excellent. I had a Calzone Supreme...EXCELLENT & big enough to easily feed 2! The hubs had 8 piece Catfish & fried okra. Pleasantly surprised that the meal included a bowl of pinto beans. Our waitress was very attentive & helped us with our menu selectives. The entire interior & been revamped beautifully......including the restroom. We will certainly be back when we are in the area!! Small hole in the wall cafe. We often drive 45 mins to eat fish here. Currently in an SMALL old building which was once a service station . The staff is minimal and very efficient! They appear to do 1/2 their business as take out. I don't think I have ever seen anyone come back in time complain about errors in their orders. Fish & fries are best ordered @hot & crispy". The fish is clean! The sides (even the salad) are even good. Burgers are good, great dessert options! I hope everything stays great a the new location when they move in late May '25! read more

This was my second visit to BTB. I ordered the Cowboy burger and fries which were excellent. I was sorry to see fewer fries this trip and the prices were much higher than on my first trip a month earlier. The new surroundings were a nice improvement over the old digs. My only complaint was the large price increases, but even so, the food was well worth it. read more

food was highly overpriced half of things on the menu on their Facebook page and online menus they don't carry anymore they don't do shakes anymore the ice cream oh, I ordered a shrimp basket which is supposed to come with eight pieces of shrimp, a side, which I chose fries, coleslaw and hush puppies I ordered the shrimp basket, fried pickles and fried mushrooms and no drink. Total was $25 which I thought was awesome until I got my food. Did a pick up order as I only have 30 minutes for lunch and didn't think to look at my order before I left nor would I have had time to fix it, so not a good experience overall the only good thing I could say, was the lady at the front who took my money was very nice and happy and that's about it. The fried pickles and fries mushrooms were good but my shrimp basket only had eight shrimp and maybe 15 fries no hush puppies no coleslaw. It was undercooked fries that or chewy like they've been out for half the day the shrimp was mediocre . Zero out of 10 recommend won't go back. read more

Since this is the only "game" in town, they can afford to slack. Small menu, and ice creams. Nothing to write home about. Flies galore. It pays to unfold a napkin, and cover your meal while you are not physically manipulating your food. The burger tasted fine, and the service was fine. The limited menu, read no breakfast, and the overall cleanliness of the restaurant was really disappointing, but as I said, it's the only "game" in town. My husband had the fried catfish and fries with hush puppies and slaw and it was TOO DIE FOR!! My SIL had the Mushroom Swiss burger and let me tell you that thing was HUGE!!! Dripping and delish!!! Don't know if it's a couple owned or what, but there was only a lady and man working when we picked up our order and they were PACKED with to go orders and the phone was ringing off the hook! This place is a dive, but in my personal opinion, those are the BEST places especially when you are visiting and don't want to cook. Well, first night in Calico Rock, and we are hungry! There isn't much after 3:00 pm for visitors or guests of the community. We found Between the Buns on Yelp and decided to try...big mistake. First of all, although this is not really the fault of the restaurant is the horrible configuration of the parking lot. There is very little parking. Open the door and flies galore! The server was very friendly, lots of smiles. The menu was very limited, couple kinds of burgers, some hot food, I think the special was chicken fried steak. Plus shakes and ice cream. Food came out hot, and the fries were hot and crispy but the burger was just that...a burger. Pickles were piled in the middle, lettuce was the shredded variety. I had two burgers and a chicken sandwich in the three meals I ate here when traveling for business. All of the food was amazingly delicious. The waitresses were all very friendly and nice. Our whole family ate a late lunch here and everything was delicious! We had cheeseburgers, fries, fried okra, chicken quesadilla, fish basket with fries, grilled Swiss cheese, and quest dip app. Everything was excellent. The buns for the burgers were especially delish and so was the bread on the grilled cheese!! Unfortunately the ice cream machine was out because we wouldn't gotten some for sure!! My daughter and I went there on a Monday morning, since nothing in Mountain View, was open for breakfast. It's a beautiful 30 drive you won't want to miss!! The place is extremely tiny!!! Maybe 8 tables. The pancakes and bacon were yummy!!! I did NOT care for the gravy at all, as it was very bland and texture! The young lady who worked there was very fast, though there were but only a few tables filled she hardly paused or spoke. The food was delicious and served hot. The shakes are awesome if you just need somewhere to stop and take a break.
