No pressure bowling! A lot of fun and social! There are also drink specials. I can definitely recommend signing up.

Turns out the discount only applies if you pre-pay, which no one bothered to mention. Had we known that tiny detail, we would've stopped at two games and saved the headache. And don't even get me started on the bar. The drink prices are absolutely absurd. This is a bowling alley, not a Michelin 5-star dining experience. A double tequila ran me almost $30, and a basic well-vodka double was $17. For those prices I expect a sommelier, a back massage, and maybe a complimentary life consultation. Overall? Fun lanes, but the pricing feels like a trap. Buyer beware.

I like to bowl and have been bowling since I was young. Recently, my husband started to get into…read morebowling so we thought just for fun, we would check out this Bowlero location. So my husband and I decided to take advantage of their Night Strike promotion where you can have unlimited bowling from 8 or 9 pm (depending on the day, as Tuesdays and Thursdays start at 8 pm) until closing (which is at 11 pm). Rental shoes are also included in the price. The price is $17.99 per person (cheaper at this location than some of the other Bowleros in nearby cities). When we arrived, a little before 8 pm last Tuesday, we were told by an employee that we have to wait until 8 pm for them to charge us for the promotional deal. But there was some issues in trying to use the gift cards that I purchased from Costco. I was told that the gift cards don't work on promotional specials, which is weird because I have used these same gift cards at another Bowlero in California for a similar unlimited bowling promotion without any problems. So my husband ended up paying via credit card. Eventually when it was time, we paid for the promotional deal and then were assigned the last lane (number 40) and started bowling. We noticed that 3 lanes right next to us was reserved for a party. Eventually that a very large party of maybe Junior High School kids came and were setting up to bowl next to us. It was incredibly loud (as you can imagine kids can be) and so I asked Jonah, the employee who helped us before, if he could move us. He said of course and said he understood since I said it was just way too loud for me and hard for me to concentrate. He moved us several lanes away around 9:45 pm and then finished bowling at this new lane until closer to 11 pm. In the end, we bowled 8 games, although we may have been about to bowl 9 games though during the allotted time. Overall, we did have a good time. But I did find it odd that the manager told me that I could not have my sealed plastic water bottle out, as outside food is not allowed in the bowling alley (which did surprise me since it was just water). Also this Bowlero is a bit older, as I assume it took over an older existing bowling alley. The other Bowlero locations that I have gone to have a new, modern and up to date look. But being outdated doesn't bother me, as long as it still has a usable bowling lane and bowling balls, it serves its purpose.

They have a lineup of fun classic arcade games in the front area near the bar, and then there's a larger space with pinball and other arcade games in the back. The ambiance is great with fun wall art, moody lighting, and dark interior. They have cocktails, mocktails/NA options, and food available as well. The bartender was kind and even gave us some tokens another guest had left behind! Games aren't cheap - about $1 per person per play - but I suppose that's what they run these days. We played: NBA Jam Big Buck Hunter Pacman 4-player Guitar Hero Arcade and a few others! Fun with a small group or solo for a few drinks with an activity.

I came after I picked my son up from his after care program and there was no employee in sight for about 15 minutes. We ended up just grabbing clubs and doing putt putt. At the end there was a teenager who came out when we had gone through probably 8-9 holes and he said "Excuse me, who checked you out?" And I said "No one. No one was here and we weren't gonna wait all night." He was like "I am the manager on shift and that's not true." Clearly trying to not be in trouble. It was absolutely inappropriate the way he treated everyone in there. I don't know what they were doing that whole time but the lack of responsibility they took for not being present where they needed to be was ridiculous. I will call back later and speak to the general manager and pay for the round we did but in my opinion, the kid working should be fired. The cash register was left unmanned, plus all the merchandise, the main door open, the self service card reader wasn't working, there was zero attention to customers. I work with high school students and 98% of them would be more responsible than this. It was completely unprofessional!

The Private Equity Ensh!ittifcation is Real…read more A group of friends and I went to Bowlero for a night of fun. On the way over, I was excited, but I left the venue feeling somewhat ripped off. Bowling has shifted from an affordable, casual pastime to a premium, entertainment-focused experience, with prices rising substantially in recent years. Firstly, the layout of the bowling alley has changed (at least at the Wheat Ridge location). Gone are the benches you might be accustomed to at each lane. Instead, there are tables near-ish the lanes, laid out in a zig-zag fashion. As you can imagine, some tables are closer to the lanes than others, and when we arrived another group was at our assigned table because it was closer to their lane. I don't fault the group at all - they just sat down close to their lane, but this system makes it problematic for people who just want to enjoy their night. The server ended up having to move two tables as a result, because... everyone was at the "wrong" tables near their respective lanes. The bench layout was much better in my opinion. No confusion. It makes little sense why they decided to get rid of those. Secondly, the service was meh. There was definitely a shortage of servers, and it took very long to receive anything that was ordered. I don't fault our sever for this. Rather, I fault management for not staffing properly. Typical corporate/PE playbook. Thirdly, playing two games cost me roughly $60 (for games + shoe rental + tax). If your birth year starts with a 1, then you probably scoffed at this amount. I certainly did. Don't even bother reserving a lane ahead of time, as it's even more expensive. It's also worth noting that the food (typical mediocre bowling alley food) and beverages are not cheap... All in all, bowling used to be inexpensive and fun. Now it's only slightly fun. Lucky Strike Entertainment is buying all the bowling alleys, slapping a new coat of paint on the buildings, and then tripling the prices. The rampant pursuit of profits over everything really makes me dislike bowling. I probably will not visit a Bowlero again in a very, very long time.
