Our room was ok, clean and ok, but not as comfortable with the Home2 chain also by Hilton that we prefer. The staff was usually engaging, even the ground staff and the room service staff. We got to breakfast late and the hotel was getting ready for an all-hands staff meeting. We were welcome to stay in the lounge while they had their meeting and it was clear that customer service and hospitality was important to them and it showed in how they all treated us. I would say the stay was more professional, friendly and engaging than we expected from this price point. And yes they still have the cookies but they are no longer locally made and although warm they tase more like frozen cookie dough than they used to have. I think all DoubleTree's do that now.

They were very personable, and the place was family friendly. We had 90 people in attendance. With no impact on the 5 star rating, in hindsight, I would cap the number of 9 person tables at perhaps 8. This would give more people an unobstructed view of the bride and groom (2 large stanchions) as well as create a larger dance floor area. But, when the bride gets 90 yes RSVPs, what's a Dad gonna do? Elsewhere on site, more than enough space for people to mingle, drink at the well situated bar area, and play lawn games. I totally recommend this venue.

He said the fish was fresh tasting, and it was battered nicely (not too thick). They have tons of events through the week; trivia, poker come to mind. Being a destination wedding, we did not get to meet her in person until our 1-month walkthrough. Lata was professional throughout the whole process. She was patient and open to our vision and provided her insights from her past experiences in this field when needed. She was available for us as we had several long phone conversations to determine our theme, discuss details, logistics, etc. She would work around our schedule and make herself available for us during nights and weekends. During the whole process, she worked with us to keep the decoration and her services within our budget. She paid attention to all details for our Sangeet night and wedding ceremony. She got all the colors, floral, and placements exactly how we wanted. She was also prepared to have a Plan B if the weather did not cooperate with our events. She was accommodating and met us at both of our event's venues pre-walkthrough to finalize the decoration. She treated us like a friend and did things outside the job description - for example, she stored few boxes of personal items for us and provided other vendor suggestions for our wedding. As nervous as we were about her understanding our vision-she came through a 110%. She even built us a custom wooden stage for our wedding mandap last minute since the rented stage did not work well. We truly could not have asked for a better, professional decorator than Lata to accomplish our vision. As picky as we were about the exact shade of color of the fabric we wanted for our mandap and the flowers, she was honest & open to telling us what she can do for us. We would highly recommend her-even if you are having a destination wedding! Thank you, Lata! Our wedding would not have been possible without you.

DJ Mike was absolutely excellent to work with…read more The first thing that stood out to me is his depth of music knowledge. It is clear how much he loves music, and he knows so many different artists from different decades. His knowledge and enthusiasm are ultimately why we chose to work with DJ Mike. I cannot say enough about how excellent of a job DJ Mike did DJ'ing our wedding. We had multiple meetings leading up to our wedding, and DJ Mike was always exceptionally prepared, he came with energy to all of our meetings, and he always had questions. His experience from DJ'ing many weddings showed clearly, as he was so organized and seemed to have an answer to everything. On our wedding day, DJ Mike did an excellent job coordinating with our officiant, and a few other guests who needed audio. His announcements and energy were excellent. Most importantly, the dance floor was jumping all night long. We picked a lot of our playlist, but DJ Mike added in some of his own mix to keep the energy high, and the did an excellent job. It was truly a pleasure working with DJ Mike and Dancin' Shoes DJ, and I would highly recommend DJ Mike and his team to anyone who needs a DJ for their wedding.
