The extended-family shuttle left the hotel before its scheduled departure, forcing several relatives to arrange their own transportation. An hour later, the guest shuttle also left about ten minutes early with only two of the forty expected passengers aboard. Most guests were stranded and began ordering last-minute Ubers because they feared missing the ceremony. Although the shuttle was eventually redirected, the guests arrived later than planned and only shortly before the ceremony, despite instructions to be seated 15 minutes beforehand. The mother of the bride, the mother of the groom, and the wedding planner were inundated with panicked calls from stranded guests seeking help. M&M's preventable failure created chaos and needless stress for our family, wedding planner, and guests at one of the most important moments of the day. The condition of the vehicle only deepened our dissatisfaction. It arrived with visible dents, worn upholstery, and other cosmetic damage and looked nothing like the vehicle advertised and contracted for. Such a condition is unacceptable for any professional transportation service--especially for a wedding. A week after the wedding, M&M admitted by email that these failures "should not have happened," yet offered only a 10% refund because it provided transportation during the remainder of the reservation. That response completely misses the point. Although M&M transported the bride and bridal party to the venue and returned guests after the reception, the central purpose of our contract was to get family members and hotel guests to the ceremony on time. M&M failed precisely when dependable service mattered most. Providing transportation at less critical times does not excuse leaving wedding guests stranded before the ceremony. M&M's handling of our complaint was equally unacceptable. Our follow-up emails and phone calls went unanswered. Although our contact, Jenny Salas, said on August 21 that the matter had been escalated, no one from the company ever contacted us again. M&M markets itself as a transportation provider for special occasions, yet it failed to deliver reliable service when it mattered most and then failed to address the consequences. Mistakes can happen; abandoning customers, minimizing the failure, and ignoring repeated attempts to resolve it are inexcusable. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company.
