This area really needed a donut shop. When Better Be opened up I was happy to finally have one near my house and even more happy to find that staff are suuuuuuper nice. All the donuts and croissants taste fresh. I was disappointed to find out that they no longer serve croissant sandwiches (due to their lease... and the competition from Subway) but I'll still come here for their jalapeno, ham, and cheese croissants. Everyone I've encountered are cheerful and make good small talk. My mom came here once to buy a dozen donuts for her doctor (around Christmas time). She also ordered a donut for herself which they happily gave to her for free. Anytime I want something sweet and a smile, I'll come here. read more

Delicious donuts! They didn't have my absolute favorite this morning which is a maple bacon bar but the lady went back and put some bacon on a maple bar for me. She heated it for a few seconds so the bacon strips stuck to the maple glaze. It was absolutely delicious! If you haven't tried a maple bacon bar, I highly recommend you try one! I have been here a couple of times and my experiences has been okay.. nothing great. Today, however, it was a different story. Not only did I wait 15 to 20 min to get 3 donuts, but once I ate one, it tasted old. Maybe about a day and a half old. I have worked at a donut shop in my younger years and I know what a fresh donut should taste like. Maybe since it is summer they don't bake that many and use old donuts from the previous day? Who knows. I ended up throwing them away. Service was slow since there was only a young lady working here when I came. The person before me ordered blended drinks and other goodies. The worker took a while to make the drinks, which I don't mind since she was the only worker there and was not at fault she was working alone. But I would like to mention that she did not greet me or look at me to tell me it will be a few minutes. Poor customer service skill not to speak to a customer at all. I waited patiently and 15 min later she helped me in a rush because more customers had entered the business. Felt like a very unwelcoming environment. The owners should really have 2 people working during afternoon hours. Will not be coming back here to wait 15 min to get old donuts. read more

i have nothing against this place but one thing i really hate is being dishonest, today i ordered 2 small boba thai tea / 1 with filling (which i know that one is extra), 1 chocolate twist, 2 sugar twist, 2 chocolate glazed.. then i was charged with 2 extra fee, when its supposed to be 1. its my fault for not checking my receipt but i'll do from now on. i know its just $.25 cents or $.50 cents whichever is the "other extra one".. but i wouldnt be upset if they told us. sorry but this will be my last trip from this place, i'll just drive a few miles at donut stop where im friends with the owners. read more

When I got home I realized the lady had only put the donuts and 1 croissant in my bag. I called to tell them what had happened. Thinking that she would tell me to go pick it up and she responded with " let me talk to him and I'll call you back" and I said well can't I just go pick it up and she's says no he'll call you back... With so many national chains in the area, it's great to have a locally-owned shop. Donuts are fresh, tasty, reasonable, and have gotten free donuts thrown in here and there when purchasing multiples. The shop is clean, service is ALWAYS friendly, and hours are great. Waaay better than starbucks or stater bros donuts from the same area. Love the location of this donut shop, especially if you live near the plaza. The donuts are above average (but no better than KK in my opinion), which made this my go-to spot for my dozen donut-fix. They're tasty with just the right amount of sweetness and chewiness, and there's always something for everyone because of the huge selection. The prices are a little high for a dozen but they always have coupons in the local YourVilla magazine. I've never had a bad encounter with the employees but they do seem unmotivated and not really interested in being present.
