This is hands down our favorite place to have breakfast or lunch not just in Quogue but in the Hampton's! The team there is so kind and warm and they make us feel like family every time! I am so glad I decided to come to this place despite what the Yelp review showed. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Definitely, the judge a book based on the reviews. The restaurant was very cute, a small Dino g room inside but I caught a glimpse of some outdoor seating. The service was excellent! We were taken cared of quickly and the staff was very amenable to providing us with an excellent breakfast even if the item was not directly on the menu. I had the lemon pancakes and I loved them! They were outrageously good. If they gave me a double serving I would have eaten it. My girlfriend had two eggs over easy and it came with a small salad. She loved it! Before we left we ordered some baked goods to go and oh my, they were even better than the breakfast. I had an almond croissant and we also ordered an orange/cranberry scone. She said it may have been the best scone ever! The next time I am in the area we will definitely be back! read more

Disclaimer: I did not get to eat here. The one star review is for the reason why: My husband, siblings-in-law & l attempted to have breakfast here. The restaurant, however, has no wheelchair-accessible entrance. There are a few tables in front that are wheelchair accessible, but if you'd prefer not to sit there, or the tables are occupied, you're out of luck. A woman who's either the owner or manager said that "two strong guys" could carry me up the stairs, but I declined: That's not their job, & what if they dropped me or damaged my chair? Sweet little country cafe in the quiet summer town of Quogue, just east of Westhampton. This village is one of the smallest and quietest in the east end. There are a few cute stores. Among them is Beth's Cafe, a simple cafe with bright glass windows and some tables inside. Ours was rickety and rocked a bit... part of the charm. Food? well its nourishment! lol haha its not gourmet cuisine here... you can get gourmet deli a few stores around the bend at a deli/market ... but this is a nice place to have a light bite. Unhurriedly so. They don't race around..and they don't likely care if Yelpers are here.. It's 2013 and they are just being reviewed. Tried the coffee and Pastrami Reubin. Not too heavy, will definitely keep you from overeating.. not to worry. : ) Both the owner and the chef were pleasant ladies. read more

How is it possible that the bakery can be so good when the standards for the rest of the food are in the toilet? Do not eat here. In a sea of overpriced unseasoned white bread garbage food, this is the worst. When you pay $18 for an omelette it should A) taste like something and B) not come with a soggy old salad that looks like last week's lettuce. Having eaten at a few restaurants around here now, it seems obvious that the overall quality and expectations are low. Starting to understand why all these people have private chefs. Just left Beth's Cafe, and have never experienced a ruder owner. Ordered a bacon and cheese omelette that came without the cheese. The chef "claimed" the cheese was put in and this owner wouldn't make it right even with seeing no cheese was in the omelette. The chef will ONLY make items as is, and has trouble with accepting substitutions. Terrible experience with so many other great choices in the Hamptons. I will NOT go back to Beth's and do not recommend this restaurant to anyone read more

Beth's Cafe truly does have some amazing food. Although overpriced, it's a great treat. However after my son, who worked there, revealed to me how horribly Beth treats her employees, I find this business a hard one to support. From long hours, with no breaks, no training, and poor management. They are teenagers and deserve better. Not to mention, he revealed the true uncleanliness behind the scenes and I was appalled. Great place to sit down and eat in the little Main Street area in quogue. Luckily, the food is fantastic with some great diversity to the breakfast/ lunch selections, they also have a well stocked juice/smoothie bar. I've tried almost everything on the menu and nothing has disappointed. For breakfast I recommend the quinoa; it's different, filling, and delicious. For lunch, The curry chicken salad sandwich is my all around favorite. If I'm not in the mood for meat, I always go with the avacado panini on 7 grain. Service is definitely slower at times during the summer due to the increased business, so be patient and enjoy the atmosphere. Somehow this place seems to have some things right and lots of things wrong. The food is good. Not great, but not bad. The lobster roll is actually one of the better ones around town. The problem is the attention to detail that could make this place somewhere people wait in line to get in. The staff is basically untrained and uninterested. If the owner was there, which they should have been given the holiday week...you couldn't tell or maybe they too don't really care about the experience their customers have...what a shame. If you could tighten up your customer service, cleanliness, and attention to plating, I don't think people would really mind spending outsized bucks for your food. At $29.87, their Greek salad was the most expensive I've ever had. Unfortunately, it was also totally disappointing. The salad was almost entirely greens (significantly lacking the tomatoes, cucumber, feta and olives that any good Greek salad should have in abundance); in fact, there were literally only two small cubes of feta in the entire salad (I counted). Even if it had been half the price (which, at about $14.50, is still a fairly premium price) I would have been disappointed. read more

Beth's Cafe is in the quaint town of Quogue and is one of our favorites for brunch. The menu is well varied, has healthy options and they make their baked goods in house! We have noticed small details such as no plastic straws and even the ketchup and other condiments are in the traditional glass containers showing their care for the local beach community and the environment. I cannot explain it, but after living in Quogue long before this place existed, after three visits, the overall feeling I have gotten, is that I am an unwelcome outsider. On my first visit I was actually asked if I lived around here (and not in a friendly, curious way). On my final visit to Beth's this summer, I had a nice chat with a very friendly young man/ barista, and I shared my secret to making a good Cortado. However upon approaching the counter to pay for my very expensive coffee and snack, the fuzzy pleasantness I was feeling quickly faded, and I was faced with the wary and rather chilly mien I have come to associate with this place. Well I've been here before and loved it but this place is going down hill fast. I ordered a juice from the menu, it was not good and warm. Then I orders eggs Benedict with side of home fries, waited over 20 min for food (they weren't crowded) it was a good thing I sat next to the counter I had to ask for water then ketchup. The ketchup bottle she gave me literally had a drop of ketchup in it! I have worked in many restaurants and that would never be tolerated. My food finally came after I had to ask for it and my home fries were cold. There are about 20 people working there and then I had to wait another 15 minutes for my check. I saw the owner, never a smile on that lady's face, you think she could greet her guests or be personable. A friend brought me here and from the start felt unwelcomed. The young girl that was at the counter was basically a rude young thing that looked like she didn't want to be there. I don't mind the high prices of the service is good but that's not the case here. The owner it appeared told us her young workers may be overworked. We finally got the check and waited 10 min , when the waitress didn't come back I went up to the counter and my bill was just sitting there and had not been processed , I had to practically beg them to do it so I could finally leave this nightmare.
