This is the first truck I wanted to head outside and check out. For food truck prices, they aren't bad. I decided against the empanadas and went for roasted pork with beans and rice. It came with tostones. Everything was fresh, hot and fantastic. Most importantly, it was filling. No one likes paying good money to be hungry, right? Found Andy's truck at Flushing Meadows Park today after checking the menu I saw they sell sugar…read morefree lemon and tangerine. I chose tangerine. It was OK, the texture was a little gritty and it did not have an artificial sweetener after taste. It also did not have real tangerine flavor. The only sugar free tangerine ice I can compare it to is the Lemon Ice King's. The Lemon Ice King uses real fruit in their ices and I always find whole pieces of fruit in them. No evidence of real fruit in Andy's but it was cold and sweet and hit the spot and served it's purpose. PS: I was contacted by Andy's and informed that they do use fresh fruit in making their ice. I stand corrected.
