This review took a long time to put on Yelp. My husband Dennis passed away in 09-15-19. Dennis and I had lost our only child at the age of 40. At the time of my husband's funeral, I was looking for a unique arrangement for the coffin cover. Dennis was extremely knowledgable with flowers. I remember when his cousin passed, he loved the white cymbidians that covered the casket, This is what I selected for Dennis. I had dealt with Bethpage Florists and always found then extremely helpful and also reasonable. I called and spoke with a florist and told her what I wanted. She asked me if I knew the price of cymbidians. It turned out to be way too expensive for me. The florist told me the first and last row would be cimbidians and she would fill in with a selection of various white flowers. When I saw her work, I was so happy that Bethpage Florists made a casket cover that my husband would love. I told our relatives and friends about Bethpage Florist and highly recommended them. My niece had a wreath created by them which had various compartments with various selections of flowers. It was a Fall Tribute to her uncle. This was the most popular piece. I wish I read the previous reviews before I ordered an arrangement from here. I have similar complaint as others - what I ordered from the website differed drastically from what was delivered. I emailed the florist with my disappointment along with pictures for comparison. I was denied my request for a partial refund and told the arrangement was to value. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. As you can see from the photos, what my grandma received was not even close to what I ordered online. Is it pretty- yes. Is it worth the more than $70 I paid for it- maybe. However, there is no excuse for substituting the entire arrangement and design, including the basket. Had I simply been contacted, I would have ordered something else. Of course, the only way they offered to make it right is to pick up the flowers in exchange for something else. My grandma is happy with them and has no idea how much nicer they should have been. All of her favorite flowers and colors should have been there. Exchanging them for her isn't an option, and that leaves me deeply regretting I trusted Bethpage Florist. Lesson here is don't purchase anything online from them and stick to in person purchases, so you can see what you are getting. After over 20 years, I will not even go back there in person. read more

I put in a phone call to Bethpage Forest on June 7th because I wanted to order flowers for my sisters birthday. I live in Florida and my sister lives in Long Island. I spoke with Maryann on the phone several times because I wanted the arrangement to be beautiful for my sister. well, I am very disappointed that the owner of Bethpage Florist will not credit my account for 94.64 for the awful floral arrangement. (wilted /dead sad looking flowers! The arrangement was NOT delivered when it was supposed to be!!!! FIRST OFFENSE! I had checked everyone else's arrangements to see if mine was there, all other flowers from other florists were beautiful - well, except one other, my sister ordered 49 pink roses from here and yes indeed they looked pretty sad - I made a call in to complain, where are the flowers I ordered and to be here ? I was told they were delivered, and you would check with the funeral director. I questioned him and he said no way were they delivered ! Only one flower arrangement was delivered and he signed only for one! ( that was the other arrangement of wilted 49 pink roses that my sister ordered) Next day at chapel, guess what.... arrangement appeared near the coffin -they were awful, they were half dead...... picture included. I had to call in again..... so, owner now states she would replace these with another arrangement, you acted like you were going to do the right thing and even upgrade a little for all the above mishaps - I accepted. Well the first dead flower arrangement was replaced, but this SECOND flower arrangement was just as bad!!! I didnt take a picture, because at this point, I was so disgusted with this business. The negative energy from your employees and yourself was exhausting and your flowers were an embarrassment. The irony here is your passive aggressive attitude.... and very sad thing here is that in conversation your employees and you acted like there was something wrong with me, and I had no right to be pissed off!!! And adding a assumption that since my niece died, that is why I must be upset or not like the flowers.... really ? Very friendly and patient as we picked out all the different bouquets, corsages, and altar flowers. we had hard to find tuberoses in some of the bouquets and they were able to get them without a problem. I have ordered just once from this Florist ...I purchases an arrangement to go to a local church for a family passing mass...In the past i have had some horrible service from some florists....just getting it delivered ,never mind the quality!...With this in mind,i followed up via phone to insure delivery AND the arrangement would be close to what i ordered.....In the church was sitting a most beautiful piece,true to the online pic and even better.. .The only negative i could say i found after the service was..There were two tags attached...the church address and our personal note which was behind it so it was not seen the entire service and this was the only flower arrangement at the service...i would think this could be attributed to the delivery drivers inattentiveness....otherwise a satified customer. read more

My fiancé brought a pretty pricey arrangement for me to my bridal shower. Probably one of the ugliest arrangements I had ever seen half of the flowers were dead and half of them were not bloomed. Just not appropriate for bridal shower flowers that are supposed to look nice. Too much greenery and they were all half dead. He asked for white flowers but they said it couldn't be guaranteed. The arrangement came but the balloons were missing. I called them right away and they not only apologized, they sent my mom a ton of balloons and a small bouquet the following day. For the last few months I have been picking up flowers from Bethpage Florist. Every time the flowers are gorgeous and makes a happy wife which makes a happy life for me. For Valentines Day today I wanted to do something extra special. I spoke to Lori last month and explained I would like flowers delivered to my wife's job at 10am 2 dozen red and then again at 11am 2 dozen white. She said no problem. Monday I spoke to her again and filled out 2 cards one for the 10am delivery and the other card for the 11am delivery. I was little concerned that either, the cards wouldn't make it to the flower order or they would be delivered together or not at all. Well everything was delivered correctly and on time. Plus, Lori suggested the 2nd delivery consist of white and pink roses. My wife called after both deliveries and loved the flowers, especially the white and pink ones. I went against my instincts and used this florist for a memorial arrangement. I asked for specific flowers. The result was comparable to going to a Trader Joe's and throwing some stuff in a vase. Use the force of yelp reviews and look for 5 stars. Avoid disappointment and dont waste your money. And when I expressed embarassment in the lack of design aestetic I was offered a 20 percent refund which is insulting considering what I spent and what I got. There are more talented and caring floral designers out there, I suggest you find one. RUN! read more

There was only one option for a florist in my mind to handle the wedding flowers, and that was Bethpage Florist / Beautiful Beginnings Flowers. They did the flowers for my son's wedding and I use them for all other personal business. They are now the florist of choice at my place of business as well. My daughter's only requirements were that she wanted sunflowers, and if any other flowers were used, she wanted a fall color scheme - she left the designs completely up to Lori and her daughter Jenn. Needless to say, everything was beautiful and we got so many compliments on the flowers. The quality of their designs, the heartiness of their flowers, the caring and attention to detail of Lori and Jenn, plus their reasonable prices make this florist the best around. Thank you ladies!!! I was extremely disappointed and upset with Bethpage Florist for the floral arrangement I ordered from them for my niece/goddaughter's funeral services. I ordered " 49 " long-stem pink roses in a standing container with mixed greenery for delivery before the first viewing at the funeral home on Thursday evening. I specifically requested traditional long-stem roses and emphasized when placing my order that the roses be tight when delivered to last until the Saturday morning funeral service, specifically stating that I did not want the roses to look like "cabbage" rose to emphasize my point. I was repeatedly assured that they only use the very best "first-quality" roses, and said I should not be concerned and delivery would be on Thursday afternoon. When I arrived at the funeral home approx. 2 hours before the first viewing time of 7:00 pm., I saw that all 49 roses were completely opened, and all were indeed equally opened and looked like "cabbage" roses, which was exactly what I specified I did not want, and was assured would not be the case. When I called the florist the next morning the justification for the condition of the roses was blamed on the funeral home and I was told that they could not be responsible since they did not have any control over the temperature conditions in the funeral home once delivered. I found this response unjustified and completely unacceptable because there were several ALL rose floral arrangements (from different florists sent by other people), and every rose in those floral pieces were closed and, in fact, the roses in those other arrangements continued to look beautiful right up to Saturday's services, and were not even close to opening as the roses Bethpage Florist used in my floral arrangement. I expected premium first quality roses, as ordered, was promised, and as paid for. This was not the first time I had ordered roses for various types of occasions from other florists over the years, and I never had problems with the condition of the roses in those orders. Further, I recommended Bethpage Florist to my sister who arrived from out-of-State, for this very sad occasion, and the floral arrangement she ordered scheduled for delivery the same day did not arrive at the funeral home on Thursday, as scheduled. During my early morning call on Friday morning, I let them know the flowers my sister ordered were not at the funeral home the night before. I was told her arrangement was delivered the same time my flowers were delivered Thursday afternoon, and they would check with the funeral home. When my sister personally called them shortly thereafter, she was given several conflicting excuses and agreed to deliver a new replacement before the start of the Friday afternoon viewing time. This replacement arrangement delivered on Friday had wilted flowers and looked like someone had just thrown flowers into a wicker basket. After a subsequent call with them to registered the dissatisfaction with the condition of the flowers sent, they finally agreed to send another replacement between the afternoon and evening viewing hours, but this one even looked worse than the previous "replacement" they delivered. Needless to say, I will never use ( and certainly cannot recommend) Bethpage Florist again. The quality of their merchandise was sub-standard, and certainly not consistent with the amount charged. Their customer service and attitude was completely unacceptable and extremely disappointing. read more

Wonderful people, beautiful arrangements! Going over & above for their customers isn't unusual for them, I cannot even explain how wonderful this staff is when it comes to pleasing their customers! Pleasent atmosphire, welcoming employees, many times the owner herself is there she owns a breader dog for seeing eye dogs that get trained and are placed through out the US.
