The second I walked in, I was greeted by the sweetest girl Melissa who gave me a tour around the studio and made me feel right at home before the class started. Soon after, a big smiling guy Gianni came rolling through and I felt right at home immediately introducing myself to him before the class. His wife Kiki came soon after and was chatting with everyone, and asked if I wanted to be saged before the breathing session. I already was smiling, haha! We started super promptly to get to work. Before doing actual breathwork, Gianni gave an absolutely awesome, no-nonsense explanation of "why" breathwork, that was just so easy to understand and just beautiful and I knew this is the kind of guy you want to guide you through something very powerful who knows whatsup. It was so important for everyone to be reminded of this, but also for beginners who just are here for the first time and had the courage to come and try something new, to understand how important and powerful breathwork is and the mechanisms behind what is going on and the goal, and what to expect to take any fear or mystery out of the experience that will unfold. We did 3 rounds of breathing. Gianni kept encouraging us through the entire breathwork to push past what was comfortable and to keep going and keep feeling to go through so we could get past whatever was blocking us, the entire reason we were all here. That was a HUGE help, to have him pushing us and giving us confidence and strength! He has such a gentle yet strong spirit and vibe. I started having a pretty emotional moment during the second round, and he came over to put his hand on my chest to reassure me everything was going to be OK and that I was loved and safe, and it was just what I needed and wanted in the moment. I woke up basically buzzing like a bee with dissipating energy, and after the session just gave Gianni and Kiki a huge hug saying how awesome this experience was. Bonus was being able to share a few laughs and chat in Italian with Gianni at the end, haha! And it has only been a couple hours since my first session. I came back home after this session to my sickly dog. I saw she had a service for pets on her website. I had texted her after my session: "Just thought I should let you know (and no rush or anything) but [my dog] has been shaking all day today in his back legs and lower back region He's had back problems before and the vet said they can only really act on emergencies just so worried for my baby." She responded, saying she will do his session in a bit. I didn't have to do anything. Just a couple minutes had gone by and his energy clearly shifted. It was unbelievable. I mean, he was immobile all day and just sad. Then all of a sudden, he's eating, walking around faster than he had been in a couple days, excited to go out.
