Just moved to Fruita from Florida. I heard good things about this place, but when I walked a few blocks from my place to get some coffee, they wouldn't even let me order a coffee togo because I had my 15lb dachshund support dog with me. (What cold/evil person could possibly turn a wiener dog away?!) I politely pleaded to just order togo, but they became rude and asked me to leave and I was just so confused and disappointed. I don't recommend anyone give this place any business with how they treat people. They didn't even give me a chance to try.. what a shame read more

Totally thrilled that fresh-roasted coffee has come to Fruita! The cold brew is excellent; good flavor and no bitterness. The espresso shot was great too; good extraction, nice smooth flavor, no sludge. Lots of other coffee options on offer (nitro, brewed, pour over...). You can really get your coffee geek on. The decor is nice; open and bright, and right now in the summer the big louver window wall is open, so you can hang out inside but still feel the fresh air. This is a really great addition to downtown Fruita, and definitely the best coffee option in the Grand Valley now. read more

This is our go-to cafe, everyday. Wide selection of coffees. Pour overs, tops. Autumn additions include the amazing Cloud Nine and Pumpkin Cloud Nine. My fav is the pour over or the house coffee (when they're really busy), but I've tried both Nines and they knocked me out. Subtle touch of sweet vanilla cloud or same with pumpkin cloud atop a cold brew or hot latte. The crew are friendly and fun. They roast, sell what they roast; also sell beans to other coffee venues. It's like our community central. Grab and go or hang out. Neatest coffee bar I've ever been to. I bucked the Star system years ago. You will too once you go here. read more

What a beautiful gem we have hidden in our valley. I've had coffee from all the best shops in Denver and Salt Lake City, Best Slope can go toe to toe with any of them. The staff is beyond wonderful and they have an extensive knowledge in coffee. My favorite roast is the PNG, but I have tried most of them, they are all delightful. They are the only coffee shop in the valley that offer more than your regular espresso brewing methods. They roast their own beans in house and they bake their goods in house. If you're just stopping by, I would definitely recommend you try them out. You won't be disappointed. read more

Excellent customer service! I bought a bag of whole bean coffee for my French press at The Kiln that was over a month old (did not pay attention to the date). I brewed the regular 25g but the coffee tasted watered down, I tried 30g, but it still did not taste right, so I called BestSlope directly. They told me they wanted me to be fully satisfied with my coffee so to please come down to their Fruita store and they would give me a brand new bag. I went in this past Friday and Max was very helpful, explained the difference in how to brew their coffee & gave me a fresh new bag as well as a scone for my nephew :) read more

You could also tell Tom was super happy to be there, I love seeing that in a barista. I had the absolute best mocha I've ever had at this little stop on the way home from the western slope. The coffee tastes delicious and the sprinkle of cocoa on top made my day. It was packed! But clearly could see why, with the fun play yard for kiddos and excellent (albeit small and simple) menu. I got a gluten free berry bar and a Moroccan mint cloud latte (iced....was like a lightweight, mint float...not overly sweet but perfectly delicious), and my husband got the yogurt and granola and an iced coffee. Excellent choice for a quick pit stop before hitting the road! Our toddler ran around the play yard (tiny but enough) before we had to put her back in the car! read more
