Zoom in to see dirty sheets.

This hotel has taken a beating. It was pretty clean but, there is a lot of exposed wires, tarps everywhere. Unfortunately, we had a VERY VERY BAD NIGHT SLEEP. Make sure you request a room AWAY from the highway (UGH) We rated this a 3 because the staff is SO NICE. The grounds are well kept. There are signs everywhere that say "Please excuse the dust". It wasn't dusty. Lol - The hotel smelled nice and the rooms were clean enough. One of the queen sheets were either stained or not changed from the last guest. YUCK. One reason to bring your own sheets and pillow cases. We travel alot This area doesn't have a lot of options. So it served it purpose for 1 night.

Roach in room

Breakfast was horrible. Dried up eggs and oatmeal was dry. Huge roach in the room and when we spoke to the manager, they ignored it as if it was normal.

Unpleasant employee was abrupt and rude with my Husband ---Clifton. Knocked on the door at 11:06 AM to tell us to leave our room. My Husband was packing the SUV and I was on the telephone with Amtrak Reservations. Housekeeper was talking to Clifton after only a few minutes past Eleven O'clock. -----Check Out Time . I discussed this situation with the manager on duty and she was super helpful. I expected better courtesy from Best Western Plus Housekeeping Supervisor. Saturday morning April 20,2024 I will not stay here in the future.

Third floor room with pool view and a portion of the large solar covered parking area that includes EV charging stations.

Staff at this location are extremely friendly. The property was very clean as well as the rooms. The drawback is the age of the hotel. The rooms and property are very outdated. The breakfast area is too small for the size of the hotel. A larger unused building on the property would better serve as a location for breakfast. We will visit this location again and hope that we can give five stars that the staff deserves, but the property needs large improvements. !! Important Notes: This property is three stories and does NOT have an elevator. When you arrive and park you will be on the second floor. If you can not use stairs, you will need to make sure your room is on the second floor. !!

We stayed Thursday-Sunday . It was a pretty good stay overall . We had a double bed - sheets were crisp and clean . The bathroom had essentials . Only 2 towels so ask for more ahead of time . It is the only hotel around the area with a full breakfast hours 6-9 am . Eggs, waffles , cereal , coffee and so many other choices . The pool and jacuzzi was open for use . It brings the necessary - it isn't fancy but we enjoyed our stay . Check out is at 11:00 we had someone knocking at 11:02 to check if we were leaving as we were waiting for the one rolling rack in the whole hotel - aside from that, the microwave and fridge came in handy with our 2 children . Only minutes from Folsom and apple hill.

David and Karen, the owners, are so sweet and welcoming. The inn is dog friendly, as there is a fully functioning outdoor patio area you can eat meals at. There's also a fire pit that's gorgeous at night, and plenty of bird feeders. If you enjoy birdwatching, this is the place as there are a variety of different feathered visitors that come by this naturally beautiful retreat. If you're looking for a peaceful, romantic, and memorable retreat, Eden Vale Inn is your place! Would definitely recommend.

We stayed in the Stone Pine room, which is one of the smaller rooms, but it was a good enough size for a couple, had a private entrance, and did not share any walls with other rooms. Very peaceful and quiet. Keep in mind there was no cell service in this room (Verizon), due to the more secluded location, but the wifi worked great. The star of the show were the outdoor soaking tubs, which really made the experience so special. The tubs are more like bathtubs than jacuzzis, with temperature adjustments which was perfect for being pregnant, and no yucky chlorine smell after. Amazing! The breakfasts were delicious each day and part of the magic of the bed and breakfast. Breakfast was delivered to the room promptly and the owners were willing to accommodate my dietary restriction. Coffee/tea was available via Keurig in the rooms (Starbucks and Peet's pods) with plenty of cream and sugar options. The only downside to our stay was that we ended up having to lose our *full* pay for an expensive massage package due to a personal medical emergency. I am not docking stars on this rating because I understand they are running a business, we signed the policy, etc. This is just my personal opinion on a unique situation for you as a potential guest to know. Because they contract out for their spa services, just beware they do not have a forgiving policy. I happened to have a horribly timed medical emergency at the time of our massage. The masseuses were already onsite and we felt terrible, but I was physically unable to get the massage and needed to go to the hospital promptly. We informed the owners what was going on every step of the way, and they were kind and understanding in the moment given a bad situation. However, I was disappointed they offered no support with brainstorming a potential reschedule (we were willing to pay more), offer a partial refund, small future discount, etc... nothing. It was honestly just crickets from them and seemed to be unsaid that it was not their problem. This might come down to personal opinion, but it felt cold and dampened our experience. I ended up having to be the one to reach out to the owner via text, and again in person when we returned to the Inn to inquire about a reschedule or any support with the matter. The owner stated there were no slots available, no refunds, and cited having to put strict policies in place due to people in the past missing massages for arriving late, oversleeping, etc. Again, this just felt cold considering the terrible morning scare we had, which clearly was different than just being irresponsible. This kind of humanity in hard situations is what sets certain businesses apart for me in extenuating circumstances, and keeps guests coming back. Other than this, we had a wonderful stay and would choose to revisit the Eden Vale Inn given all the other great and accommodating features of our stay.

The front desk crew were super nice and helpful. When we were staying here there was a road closure due to snow storms, so people were scrambling to get rooms for the night. It was large with a king bed and a great view of the valley. All rooms are non smoking which is good as the casino is not. This is a two level casino, the lower level has the buffet, a asian restaurant, I think it's a Japanese restaurant and a steakhouse in the lower level. The upper level has two cafes and the best part, they're open until midnight on weekends. They have beverage stations located around the perimeter of the casino also, that's a nice perk. With a players card they also give a discount on meals in the cafe, I don't know about the buffet. I gotta stop here since it's along my travels. I'd like to try their buffet sometime. They do a pretty decent job of keeping the smoke at bay from people that smoke. I decided it was snack time so why not get a bite before resuming my drive.. I ordered some fish & chips, it was the decision between that or loco moco, their version of loco moco didn't sound too appealing. The fish came out fairly quickly, it was quite nice, crispy coating and actually see and taste fish in the middle instead of a lot of batter. I gotta travel everywhere with my malt vinegar, they had heinz malt vinegar amd I can tell you that's one of the malt vinegar brands I detest. The chips/fries were okay, I wouldn't order it but it did come with the order. The fries looked good but the weren't as crunchy on the outside as I would prefer. This casino is worth another visit for sure.

It was dark and didn't feel safe walking over at night. We booked our hotel through Expedia, which offered "Free Breakfast" with our booking. I'm a traveling musician and checked in to my room, upon check-in I spoke with the lady at the front desk who after I told her I was a musician she immediately gave me the stank eye, and I could completely feel the judgment from her body motions. She acted very suspicious of me almost blaming me for having other people who are going to sleep there, which wasn't the case at all. Then she l ask me accusatorial way if I had a dog. Then she said, do you even have a car? Of course, I had a car. The next day, I was about to check out and got a call from her saying that the housekeeper smelled marijuana in my room. The housekeeper never came into my room. The housekeeper was banging on my door at nine in the morning hence checkout at 11. I opened the door a very small crack and she was standing several feet from the door and I said I'll be out at 11. I know she didn't like that. The whole marijuana thing came from just judgment and profiling me having long hair and her knowing that she could try to charge me a deposit for her already nasty ass room. The front desk owner lady had already made all this up and the housekeeper never said anything about marijuana. The beds are dilapidated. The carpet is disgusting. The room looks like a prison cell. The plumbing doesn't work, sinks are all stopped up. The bed I swear was from 1965. The curtains and decor looked like something from that 70s show. The curtains had to be 50 years old. They have springs in the mattress. You couldn't find a bed like this if you tried. Worst sleep ever!!! I told the lady I don't smoke marijuana and I don't know what the hell she's talking about. I never had any marijuana anywhere near her motel. Her husband got on the phone and started trying to talk to me about marijuana, and I told him I've never even met him and he's never even been to the room that I was in while I was in it. They have a slew of reviews on yelp that are terrible and explain how horrible this man and woman are. This business will not be here in 10 years. I called the bank, stopped payment on my bank card. I'm considering taking legal action against these people for harassment. Do yourself a favor and keep on trucking past that hell hole they call a motel.
