The only saving grace for this hotel is the front desk person, she was extremely nice, super pleasant and accommodating. The hotel needs a LOT of maintenance and deep cleaning. The inside of the door was all grimy and dirty, the lampshade right over the coffee maker is full of dust and grime, It looks like it hasn't been cleaned for decades, there was a hole in the bathroom wall and the bathroom tiles were loose so when you stepped on them it pinched and cut the skin on your feet, the walls were all dinged up, the electrical outlets were covered in dirt, dust and dead ants, we found beer bottle caps on side of bed, the pillows are a laughable joke, thin as a pancake and lumpy, they should just throw them all away. On the bottom floor there are thick curtains on the front window, but no sheer curtains so you can't open your front window curtains without people constantly walking by and peering in your room. They have very bright security lights in front of the doors, they light up your room all night long, even with the thicker curtains on the windows, bathrooms don't have a hairdryer and the ones that do they don't work. You can see the pretty pine trees in the back of the hotel but it's not in a great area. There's a bunch of homeless people living up on the hill by an abandoned strip mall that's right by the hotel . All it would take is a little touch up paint and a LOT of elbow grease to clean the place up.

This is our first time going to Apple Hill and we wanted a no frills hotel for one night. This place exceeded our expectation. The location is great, right off the 50. I called them a few hours before we arrived to let them know we were checking in late, and the young man on the phone told us the office closed at 11pm and to call back if we were going to be in later to make arrangements for us to get the keys. The same young man checked us in. He was very polite and informative. My husband and I hold good customer service in high regard since it's so rare now a days. Our room was on the 1st floor. The parking lot is well lit and clean. The room is also clean and comfy. We would stay here again.

Remodeled. Very comfortable. Everything in working order. Hot, good pressure water. Bathtub. Soap and package shampoo. Hairdryer. Room 14. 20 min to rafting. Breakfast includes coffee, tea, packaged danish, and bananas. Smidgen of traffic noise. Refrig, microwave, and coffee maker. Double queen size beds. Nice people who runs it. Near roadway. Didn't have a chance to explore. In and out. Nearby coffee shop plus grocery outlet.

We stayed in the Stone Pine room, which is one of the smaller rooms, but it was a good enough size for a couple, had a private entrance, and did not share any walls with other rooms. Very peaceful and quiet. Keep in mind there was no cell service in this room (Verizon), due to the more secluded location, but the wifi worked great. The star of the show were the outdoor soaking tubs, which really made the experience so special. The tubs are more like bathtubs than jacuzzis, with temperature adjustments which was perfect for being pregnant, and no yucky chlorine smell after. Amazing! The breakfasts were delicious each day and part of the magic of the bed and breakfast. Breakfast was delivered to the room promptly and the owners were willing to accommodate my dietary restriction. Coffee/tea was available via Keurig in the rooms (Starbucks and Peet's pods) with plenty of cream and sugar options. The only downside to our stay was that we ended up having to lose our *full* pay for an expensive massage package due to a personal medical emergency. I am not docking stars on this rating because I understand they are running a business, we signed the policy, etc. This is just my personal opinion on a unique situation for you as a potential guest to know. Because they contract out for their spa services, just beware they do not have a forgiving policy. I happened to have a horribly timed medical emergency at the time of our massage. The masseuses were already onsite and we felt terrible, but I was physically unable to get the massage and needed to go to the hospital promptly. We informed the owners what was going on every step of the way, and they were kind and understanding in the moment given a bad situation. However, I was disappointed they offered no support with brainstorming a potential reschedule (we were willing to pay more), offer a partial refund, small future discount, etc... nothing. It was honestly just crickets from them and seemed to be unsaid that it was not their problem. This might come down to personal opinion, but it felt cold and dampened our experience. I ended up having to be the one to reach out to the owner via text, and again in person when we returned to the Inn to inquire about a reschedule or any support with the matter. The owner stated there were no slots available, no refunds, and cited having to put strict policies in place due to people in the past missing massages for arriving late, oversleeping, etc. Again, this just felt cold considering the terrible morning scare we had, which clearly was different than just being irresponsible. This kind of humanity in hard situations is what sets certain businesses apart for me in extenuating circumstances, and keeps guests coming back. Other than this, we had a wonderful stay and would choose to revisit the Eden Vale Inn given all the other great and accommodating features of our stay.

The hotel is undergoing renovations, but based on what we saw, renovations won't fix the real issues. Our room looked like a quick patch job. The walls had mismatched white paint, the shower didn't drain properly, and the shower curtain had an unpleasant smell. The iron in the room was broken and leaking water. Several wall outlets looked worn out and honestly like a fire hazard, so I was hesitant to plug in my phone. The windows opened fully, which isn't typical for hotels, so that was surprising. There were no luggage trolleys available, and the elevator was not working, which made moving bags in and out a hassle. The worst part was waking up at 8 a.m. to loud construction happening directly above us. No warning, no courtesy notice, just walking around and banging early in the morning. On the positive side, the room did have a microwave and a fridge, and the water pressure was strong, but the shower still didn't drain. Overall, this stay was disappointing, uncomfortable, and not worth the price. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

With a players card they also give a discount on meals in the cafe, I don't know about the buffet. I gotta stop here since it's along my travels. I'd like to try their buffet sometime. They do a pretty decent job of keeping the smoke at bay from people that smoke. I decided it was snack time so why not get a bite before resuming my drive.. I ordered some fish & chips, it was the decision between that or loco moco, their version of loco moco didn't sound too appealing. The fish came out fairly quickly, it was quite nice, crispy coating and actually see and taste fish in the middle instead of a lot of batter. I gotta travel everywhere with my malt vinegar, they had heinz malt vinegar amd I can tell you that's one of the malt vinegar brands I detest.
