Not a bad hotel. Starting with the pros: the bed was comfortable, the breakfast is pretty good, and good customer service. A few cons: We had to switch room 2 times due to smoke coming out of the indoor heater when turned on and the 2nd room was damp under the carpet and had a horrible mildew smell. The walls are also paper thin so it sounded as if the kids next door were doing flips and bed jumping all day and night. Overall for the price it was not bad. read more

Front Desk was very friendly but had an issue with employees coming into my room to clean and taking half a loaf of bread on the counter used for Lunch at work, as well as a 6-pack with two full beers left, very dissapointed, seems as tho they don't check to see what is trash or not before it being tossed read more

This was the cleanest hotel we have stayed at since Covid began. There is absolutely nothing I can complain about. The room was great! The employees were all friendly and helpful. The TV had a very clear picture - a problem we've been running into regularly at more expensive hotels. The breakfast is still scaled back - but I can understand and appreciate that as well. Nice, clean rooms. On the best western website I wanted to book two rooms and accidentally booked one for the wrong night (night prior to actual stay). I didn't realize the mistake till trying to check in and they only had me reserved for one room. I then got on my phone and looked up my reservation and realized MY mistake. The assistant manager (Katrick) said he would talk to his manager and see if they could help me out since it was an honest mistake. I was thinking I would get a free night stay at best.. but 3 days later I found that I had been credited the full amount back to my check account. Just to be fair, the manager was more concerned the next day, and paid to have all my clothes cleaned. He also agreed to credit my credit card for the clothes I threw away. They screwed that up---they charged my card, and I had to dispute it with the card company to get it corrected. I still would NOT stay here. read more

This was my first time staying at a Best Western hotel and was beyond pleased. Night front desk staff was very friendly and I had an easy check in. The room was huge and nicely decorated. This hotel is advertised as a Three Star Hotel, and has great reviews and I'm not sure why. What makes it a "plus"...there is no plus. The diminutive sign and small hotel front are barely visible from the road. The room was clean, but dimly lit. it has several light fixtures but the lowest wattage lights I've ever seen in a hotel. It looked like a fairly new paint job on the walls, but they are dark, drab colors. Combine that with the low wattage bulbs and it's a cave. There is no working at the desk with this crappy lighting and flat hard chair. The shower (hot water and pressure) were great and over all the room was clean and without offending odors.... and that is where the good points of this hotel ends A three star hotel (as it is advertised) should at least have a blanket, towels and central HVAC. There are no blankets, just two sheets on the bed. Don't even think of asking for a blanket....we never could find a single staff member after 6pm (we had to ask the cleaning staff to find someone to check us in after waiting 10 mins at the counter). The pillows are tiny. They are about half the size of a standard sized bed pillow. There is no way to turn the light on in the toilet/shower area w/o having to turn on the fan. The fan is LOUD and hanging out of the ceiling. The light is over the toilet, behind a short wall, so the shower area is dark. It looked clean....well, it's not well lit....I hope it was clean. The window HVAC is LOUD and ran nearly constantly. We had the room temp set to 74 to try to get some quiet. When the HVAC was not running the in room refrigerator was clanging. There is no in-room guest info, there is no continental breakfast....well they had a small cooler with some sausage wrapped in pancake on a stick...the coffee did spit out HOT coffee, but the paper cups were very small, no lids, and the coffee that came out of the machine was gross. I am not sure why they didn't have the advertised breakfast...maybe we can blame COVID, ....but we still paid for this service. The cable channel selections were pretty basic: all the news, a few sports channels and home shopping networks. The rest of the channels advertised were just TV snow. The view from this alleged three start hotel is a brick wall and a muddy gutter full of trash. The ceiling sprinklers were also hanging from the ceiling w/o plate/cover. If this is a Best Western Plus....where is the plus, not even up to normal BW standards. Do NOT waste your money on this hotel. read more

Very nice, large room with a spacious bathroom. Good breakfast. The only negative was stains on the couch cushions in the room.

Update after 6 weeks: Had to drop a star. Basically, the wifi was the clincher. Frequently spotty and unreliable. Over the weekend even had my computer plugged in the wall and couldn't get reliable, usable internet, huge no-go since this is a work trip. It's the little things mentioned below in addition to that which culminate in my overall disappointment. I cannot emphasize how lucky this hotel is to have the outstanding staff that they do. If the owners/management invested a little more money in their people's quality of life and amenities this hotel could be 4 star. Bottom line: The rooms are nice but the hotel is not setup for extended stays (longer than a week). I would stay again if only one or two days, but no longer. One of several hotels in the area that includes a free membership to Gold's Gym is a plus. Primary downsides are the thin walls and lack of kitchenette. Pros: The staff is very friendly. The folks at the front counter, the lady that prepares the breakfast and the house keeping staff are all very helpful and polite. After all this time, I almost feel like part of the family. The furnishings are clean, appear relatively modern and well kept. WiFi is usually good enough to stream movies or Skype, but can be unreliable. Decent selection of cable channels, no HBO or premium channels. Breakfast is good, though a little bland after a couple weeks. They only just got a waffle maker and I suspect that's due to an inspection from Corporate. But whatever the reason, it's improved. Parking is good. Location is convenient to Rucker Blvd. and takes about 10-15 minutes to the Enterprise gate. Plenty of places to eat within 5 minute drive. The workout room has three cardio machines but only the rickety elliptical machine works. Huge bonus is the free membership to Golds Gym a short 5 minute walk up the hill. Cons: As mentioned in other reviews, I can hear everything in both of my neighbor's room (TV, phone calls, music, etc.). Have had to deal with one inconsiderate church group rolling in at 1 a.m. and a family being loud with their kids next door over the weekend. I blame this on the thin walls and the people, not the staff. They dealt with it as best they could. The card readers on both outside exit doors don't work at all, which means even with a good parking spot near your room you still have to go in the front. The card reader at the pool is broken. The pool area is nice, but the pool is not heated, no hot tub. Speaking of card readers, these room keys are extremely sensitive, they will zero out if you sit them on your phone or next to a car key remote. I've had to reset the key nearly every day. I've never had this issue in any other hotel. The rooms overall are nice, but annoyingly dim. The main light switch only controls one light near the door, you have to turn on each lamp individually. The fan in the bathroom is very noisy and is connected to the light. No option to turn it on separately, annoying especially at night. Toilet paper is as cheap as it comes. They provide plenty of sheets and pillows, but they are all very light. No comforter on the bed, only blankets, so I either have to pile on the sheets or turn the heat up at night to stay warm. Pillows are overstuffed and uncomfortable. The AC/Heater unit is pretty loud when it kicks on and off. Finally had to stop using it at night in order to sleep. Windows are sealed shut which is annoying if you just want some fresh air. There is one soda and no snack machine. The front desk sells some sodas (for more than the cost of vending machine), snacks and toiletries but they are limited and overpriced, and usually out of stock. Room comes with a mini-fridge and small microwave, would be nice if they were bigger for longer term stay. And there are several people there for long term stay. I know its a lot of nit picky things, but I've had a lot of extended stays in hotels for my job and these are things I wish I'd known before I got here. Not to mention I've paid the same price at these other hotels and received significantly better amenities, so I know it can be done effectively at this price point. Just know that this hotel is setup for one or two night stays, not really for someone staying several weeks. All things aside, customer service goes a long way for me and the employees here have that to spare. A few minor improvements here and there and I'd easily add another star. read more

I very much enjoyed my stay here. Everything was clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. Jay, the general manager, was at the front desk. He greeted us and checked us in very quickly. He was polite, interested and very friendly. I felt that if there were any issues, he would work hard to address them. There were no issues however and I would definitely stay here again. we had reservations for the hotel down the street. we got there early and was not allowed to check in. i explained my daughter was 7 months pregnant and didnt feel well, we had been in the car for 9 hours driving. Lady rudely said no...sorry. the parking lot was empty. not a soul in sight. i canceled the reservations and we went to best western. the front desk lady said no problem let me see what is available. in less than 15 min we had 2 rooms and my daughter could rest. the free breakfast was the best ive had at a hotel. i paid a little more for these rooms than at DAYS INN. but worth every penny. you cant put a price on kindness. it was clean. smelled nice. comfortable beds and pillows. no complaints at all. read more
