I love staying here when I can to visit my son and family at the local base. I stayed over Christmas so I understood the limited housekeeping. Not a problem. The staff is awesome. The one that stood out to me was Veronica. I never point out to people that I have a long history in the customer service industry. Ok Christmas night I came to the front desk to pass along some goodies that I had received earlier as a gift. Knowing I wouldn't eat them I passed them on to Veronica who was working the front desk. What I didn't know was at the bottom of the bag were pictures of my grandkids. Y'all she tracked me down doing some sleuthing! So people who work here are friendly but the building is a wreck. The elevator made noises that had me concerned it was going to make it to the second floor (only 3 floors). We got to our room and the door to the room was difficult to open hmmmm. When we got into the room the bathroom door couldn't close, the closest sliding door was leaning on the ground, a nice slope to the floor and the carpet was sticky (yuck). It was late so i could let all that go and not even write a review...but... the fan made a crazy loud and consistent noise. Joy! read more

Stayed here during an unexpected emergency last week. The room was ok, but the bathroom left a lot to be desired. There was black mold growing on the ceiling and a badly patched water leak. Maintenance "fixed" it very quickly by just paining the ceiling. I head the man joking with housekeeping about how "easy that is to fix". The back of the toilet also had a long strip of black mold growing , and the wall behind it was moldy. Housekeeping wiped it up, but the mold was back within the day. That is nasty! A major mold problem!! Spoke to the gm, and the hotel has a huge problem getting workers. I stayed 4 nights and I had major problems just getting my bed changed once and garbage taken out. The gm is very very overworked. It is very sad. read more

Oh Hilton... this is the most outdated property that I have stayed in, in many many years. The furniture, carpet, shower, towels, light fixtures, fridge, microwave, bedding, tv... you name it, all are either old or broken. For the first week of May, the humidity has already graced Alabama with its presence and unfortunately being inside this hotel was no reprieve. The room was extremely humid, clammy, sticky, and any other adjective synonymous for humidity. The air condition unit sounded like a turbo engine jet plane but did the job, thank goodness. The staff members were all friendly and welcoming (5 stars). For the breakfast eaters, real eggs, real sausage, adult size (make your own) waffles, and an assortment of other options are available. Pass on the oatmeal if it looks suspicious. The location is conveniently located and within walking distance of a few restaurants. For the coffee drinkers next door is a hidden gem if you'd like to pass on the hotel standard offering. Tip: if your room is on the backside of the hotel... be advised there is a childcare center/facility next door, so look forward to the constant sounds of screaming children. read more

It had been a while since we last stayed here so since we were traveling close we decided to try it again. It is an older hotel but, still very nice and very clean. When I walked in I was greeted by Kris who has been there a along time, 8 years according to him. He welcomed me back and gave me my Honors treats and made sure all was in order. Our room was very clean, had fresh duvet covers and all the amenities it should have. Our breakfast was good and everything was full, fresh and delicious. After eight hours primarily spent on the road, I arrived in Enterprise ready for a quick nap. Fortunately I'd already reserved a room at the Hampton, which is one of the first establishments one runs across in this town of Star Trek, Rental Cars, Company Objectives - it calls itself the City of Progress, yet it's apparently unaware of the advantages a sidewalk has. But focusing on the hotel itself, staff was reasonable enough, offering me the requisite two bottles of water upon check-in. Room was clean and comfortable, and that nap was much appreciated. An advantage this hotel has is that it's walking distance to the wonderful Mellow Mushroom, but if barbecue is a must, you may also wander over to Shane's Rib Shack. Regardless, once you've negotiated the interesting method of approaching the Hampton, you don't need to get in the car again to eat. Unless you're one of those folks who has to leave their vehicle running at all times, and there were plenty of those about. It's worth mentioning that the alarm went off at 11:45 due to a pipe leakage. While the incessant whine only lasted about five minutes the EHH EHH EHH went on for an hour. It's a bummer, but this did wind up costing this review a star - a guy's got to sleep after all. read more

We evacuated for the hurricane and are so glad we found rooms here! ALL of the employees were wonderful!! The breakfasts run by (I think) Eva were super tasty. She would even go out of the way if you wanted something not out!! All the fresh fruits, smoothies, bread items, hot foods, oatmeal, waffles, juices!!! Typical Hampton quality. Only complaint was noise level from the room above. Particularly heavy footfalls and guest seemed to pace/move around a lot. Fortunately it ceased when it came time to actually sleep but started right back up first thing the next morning. Breakfast had one of my favorites Cheese Omelets and Sliced Smoked Sausage. This location upholds the Hampton Inn brand very well, so four stars when taking the price point into account. The desk man was funny and had our rooms ready to go when we arrived around 8 p.m., and gave us a great recommendation for dinner (The Rawls. Just go). Small quibbles: 1) Air conditioning seemed a tad unresponsive. Yes, it was a scorcher of a day, but it seemed to take a while for my room to cool down. My colleague reported the same issue with her room. And the dehumidifiers didn't seem to take enough humidity out of the air, for everything felt just a bit damp. 2) Hilton Honors used to be great about giving its members free WiFi. Now you get basic WiFi free and 'enhanced' WiFi for only $4.95. I get so tired of being rooked by Hilton in this way. read more

Such a nice place to stay, you are close to 6+ restaurants, a coffee place, and a BP. No reason to stay anywhere else. It has a great breakfast ( a real one with hot food ) The staff is very friendly and helpful. The place has a pool, tiny laundry room, and modest gym. Free newspaper and Wi-Fi. I'm happy that I stayed here and it beats most other places for the price. On the down side, TV channels aren't that great and half of the rooms face the parking lot, but its minor. My family and I stayed at this location for one night. I must say the beds are very flimsy and the air conditioner did not keep the room cool overnight. There is nowhere for you to sit and enjoy a fresh cup of coffee and a fresh cup of coffee was not even offered by the staff. The receptionist at the front was not very welcoming or even spoke, she was very COLD!!! The smoking area is located at the front entrance, so when you arrive don't be surprised if you're welcomed by a cloud of smoke. There is no "behind" the hotel, as the rear looks to be a daycare center. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. In addition, the TV was very tiny especially for double beds. The microwave was filthy, but the refrigerator was clean, which is why this location received 2 stars. read more

My room appeared to be nice however my bathroom had hair and black goo in the tub also the floor had not been clean. Excellent customer service! The housekeeping was fantastic and made staying away from home super comfortable. The room and bathroom were clean and smelled great. They had hot continental breakfast included with hot coffee and juice. Pancakes, eggs both scrambled and boiled, sausage links, bacon, bagels, toast, oatmeal, cereal and fruit. Two thumbs up for having more than enough for all guests to enjoy more than their fill. The lobby and dining area is also clean, comfortable and inviting. Staff always acknowledge you and ask if there's anything they can get for you so again customer service is excellent. Would have given 5 stars if we hadn't had to move mid stay to another room because the room we were in was already reserved. It was an easy move though so really not a big deal. We stayed here a total of a week and were very happy with the overall experience read more

Stayed here on Memorial Day weekend with my husband and baby daughter. As always, the rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast offering was great. My only complaint is that we had some trouble with our cooling system shortly after we checked in and had to call for a maintenance person to help. First & last time staying here. When we booked the room, we told the representative that we had three adults in our party. They suggested a suite that offered a pull-out sofa, presumably for the 3rd person. It was not until we checked in & in the room that we realized the room did not have sleeping quarters separated by a room. So, we requested another room. We were told that the 2nd room cost would be $104/night, before taxes, of course. The next morning, another clerk said that we had been charged $119/night for the 2nd room. We spoke to the initial clerk later that evening to clarify the miscommunication, and he said, "Oh, I could have sworn that the screen said $104 last night. I'm really sorry about that." So, I then asked, "Did you apply my military discount to the room?", to which he responded, "No, we had already capped on military, AARP, & Hilton Honors discounts you requested the 2nd room." Seriously?! Not once did he attempt to correct HIS misinformation/ mistake. We will be speaking to the manager in the morning at checkout, but I seriously doubt they'll try to make this right. If I were able to give a rating less than one star, this would be the time to do it! We have a huge family celebration every year in this small city, but I can assure you that NONE of the family members will ever spend another dime at this hotel. Shame on this hotel for being so careless with customer service & using the word "honors" so loosely!! read more

Avoid this place at all costs. They can't manage their way out of a wet paper bag! The General Manager (which I think is a clerk on salary) has no authority to resolve problems. They screwed my reservations up so bad by putting me in a smoking room, moving me, telling me I only had 1 night instead of 3, wanting to move me BACK to a smoking room, and then, to top it all off, offered to bring an air freshener! I simply wanted my 3 days of NONSMOKING reservation fulfilled. The rude clerks (minimum wage type) Robyn and Tina were useless and ugly. It's a circus there! They absolutely do not care about their patrons. I visit Enterprise, AL on a regular basis.
