We checked in to room 204 for a night. We are here because it's close to the Badlands. Our basic king room on the first floor smelled clean & was adequate. Lighting & water pressure were good and the air conditioning kept us cool. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow and it sounded like the people upstairs were dropping bowling balls on us. The wolves were paper thin we heard conversations and television on both sides of us. Starting at 6 o'clock in the morning, we heard cars pulling out and conversations in front of our room.. There is an indoor pool, hot tub and fitness center in a separate building. Free parking was right outside our door. Breakfast was the standard economy fare served from 6:30 until 9:30 in the morning & was included. The automatic pancake machine was very cool. The staff here is what makes this motel special. They were genuinely upbeat and appeared happy to make our vacation special.

Standard hotel in a town with not a lot of options. On our travels to South Dakota we picked wall as a good halfway point and opportunity to check out wall drug. Check in was easy and the rooms were pretty standard. It is an old school motel setup with all doors opening directly to outside. It wasn't spotless but it wasn't super run down either. I will say that there was a bit of a sense high moisture/dampness that was felt throughout our room. Not enough to be overly bothersome but something that my partner and I both commented on as we were leaving. The hotel does have both an indoor and outdoor pool area. There's also free breakfast that is set up in the pool building and had, again, all the basics you've come to expect at a free continental breakfast. It included limited, pastries, cereal yogurt make your own pancakes, egg, sausage, and biscuits and gravy on the day we were there. There's not a lot of options in this area of South Dakota when you're picking places to stop. This was OK for us but if I had the chance to plan the trip again, I'd likely push on a little further and stay in a larger city.

A true motel, rooms open into the parking lot. Our room was clean and comfortable even if firmly stuck in 1975. When we checked in, my reservation was on paper, not a computer! Office closes at ten pm. Breakfast in the indoor pool building. They have a pancake machine and now I want one!! No issues and I would stay here again.

Clean and nice motel. Maybe one of the better Motels in Wall. Room and bed were very clean and comfortable. Good location for hitting wall drug in the morning when Wall Drug is only open 8-5 off season hours. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was average. Recommend regular instead of instant oatmeal as one improvement.

While I cannot attest to what the rooms or stay look like I can comment on the customer service. Yesterday I fell 100 feet down a cliff at Badlands and needed to be airlifted out by the National Guard. Obviously I could not stay there since I didn't even get to the hospital until 10:30PM with a concussion and broken foot. The hotel advised me to contact Orbitz regarding me reservation. I contacted Orbitz and they contacted the hotel. The manager on duty Debbie, stuck with the non-refundable reservation spiel and refused to let orbitz speak with the general manager. While I understand non-refundable, I'm lucky to be alive. I hope you guys all think twice about the customer service here. I will be calling corporate tomorrow.

Room 272: 2 queen beds plus sofa bed. No fridge or microwave.

Overpriced* but very nice hotel. Especially enjoyed the 2 pools (one indoor, one outside) and spacious room with wood ceiling and beams, and warm wood furnishings. Comfy beds, good breakfast, AC not too loud. Good breakfast, but ends early--9:00! Wifi was strong but disconnects frequently. Could've used a fridge in our room (no microwave either). At this price point I also expected an in-room safe. *We made our reservations last-minute and got a room with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed for $195 (including tax).

Bathroom small. Toilet and sink are low. Smell of mildew from water sitting in the HVAC pan.

Although the rooms were clean if you want to sleep don't stay here. If you want to party loud and late this is the place for you.

Friendly staff and candles greet the walk-in customers. I personally like any candle smell so that was a bonus for me! Lots of lighting in our room with a hand written note "thanks for staying!" When I first called she answered by her first name, not as Days Inn. I asked if I had the correct phone number and she said yes. I stated that I was charged for a cancelled reservation. She said "tell you what, call back in a half hour". Not a great start. When I called back she didn't take any information or look up anything before saying that if I was charged it was because of the policy. She said that there are no hotels that let you cancel under 48 hours, which is just untrue as most major chains, including Wyndham, allow for cancellations up the check in, particularly under their military member program. The Days Inn booking failed to disclose that cancellations made under 48 hours cannot be cancelled. The military member policy on the Wyndham app is free cancellation up to 24 hours. Wyndham customer service was a chat that disconnected followed by a series of unhelpful and incompetent call center employees. I will never again stay at a Wyndham property.

First time staying at a Super 8 due to the good reviews, as most of them never seem to rate more…read morethan 3 stars. This motel is located a few blocks from downtown and Wall Drug, an easy walk although probably not on a hot day. It's not big, has a tiny sitting area in the lobby and the breakfast area with tables on the other side. It looks and feels clean with everything in good shape. We had a king room on the ground floor. It's regular size with fridge, microwave oven, small square table with 2 comfortable chairs and a good size TV. Bed and pillows too soft not comfortable. Lighting is not the brightest but adequate. Aircon worked very well and not too noisy. If you don't need a pool or exercise room (which are usually not that great in other somewhat higher end chain motels anyway) this is a much better value hotel to stay. Shower is really strong like a fire hose. No way to keep light on in the bathroom without the fan which is inconvenient. Breakfast - the room's not big only a few tables so can get crowded with nowhere to sit. Many people just brought food back to their rooms. There are a couple of tables in front outside but no good if it's raining. Anyway it's simple, just a microwaveable breakfast sandwich with cheese and sausage (actually not bad), oatmeal packets, yogurt, breakfast bars (not very tasty). Coffee but no hot water for tea. But there are tea bags so you could microwave hot water in a paper cup (except I have always been told paper cups are not necessarily microwave safe).

We were here only for an overnight stay, we came from Devil's tower, WY - Reached Wall, SD - visited wall drug store, checked in at super 8 at 11 PM, and left early morning 430 AM (to catch the sunrise at big badland overlook) so did not even get chance to have breakfast. Typical super 8, but this is quieter and cleaner. though the room has a little bit of smoke smell. The room was big enough for 3, complimentary items were there (check photos). We just slept, woke up, took bath, and left. Did not interact with anyone. As Wall is a very small town (Population-900), it's located right in the middle of town so you'll reach here easily. Gas pumps are nearby so full your tank.

It did have wireless internet, but it didn't work very well. The owner said that it was a problem in just our cabin and if we wanted to we could move to another cabin. The shower worked fine and was very nice. The breakfast was very good with home made muffins and rice crispy treats. It tasted a lot better than the stuff I have been getting at other restaurants, The owner was also very kind and helpful. Overall, this place is very quiet and is a nice place to stay for a few nights if you want to relax for a while and disconnect from the world for a bit.

My dad and I just returned from a five thousand mile road trip. The first half was family visits,…read morethe second the scenic route home. We spent the first night of the scenic route in Wall on our way to an early AM foray into the Badlands. We fell in love with our eighty-two year old hostess. Dad wanted to find mom and pops the rest of the way. We didn't have the same luck night two in Buffalo, WY. I guess it's not everyday you find a family run motel that's been in business over forty years. In the off season, the innkeeper sews, knits and crochets. Her handiwork is for sale in the front office where she lays out breakfast treats wrapped in plastic wrap. I asked her if she made the curtains in the room. She did. She explained they were odd sized windows. The quilts to match are coming. She gave us great suggestions for dinner and warned us of false advertising and other shenanigans in the Black Hills. Our cabin was quiet, clean, affordable and a perfect fit with a queen and a twin at opposite ends. I was able to refreeze my ice blocks and keep my road veggie snacks cool in the refrigerator. The cabins have kitchenettes, so if you bring your own cooking utensils, plates and food, you can save even more. We began our morning with a walk into the badlands along a dirt road just beyond the hotel and watched the sun come up. Overall, it was a great start to home.
