The staff was rude, didn't want to do their damn job, didn't have a clean room, the air conditioner was so damn dirty it was fucking black and very dusty. Our feet turn black from the carpets, under the hide-a-bed wasn't cleaned in months or maybe years, and the room was caked in thick dust. the bathroom wasn't cleaned in a long time and I have videos. As a retired housekeeper for over 20+ years this is NOT how you fucking take care of a hotel. This place only shows you the good pictures of the other part of the hotel that is where you check-in. The pool was so fucking ice cold and when they see it's a heated pool it actually isn't. They do not do complementary hot food They will send you to a restaurant that is downtown for you anything with their hot food and all they do is ONLY cold foods. What kind of place are they fucking running here. And then they say they accept pets but I almost got fucking charged for my service dog when the ADA Law states they are free to access anywhere I go with no questions asked. This place is a fucking JOKE!!! I rather stay at best western than here! I do have a lot more pictures and videos then this. CORPORATE office is next

My toilet in the condition I found it. There was more of the same on the side of the bathtub.

Where do I begin? A friend had reserved 2 rooms one for each of us for two nights at this place. 3 days before we were going to leave, he cancelled the second night with hotels.com, and was told to call this establishment directly. When he did, the lady who took the call verified that the second night was cancelled; we only had one night stay. When we arrived, the situation was different. The manager insisted that we did not cancel correctly and an uncomfortable confrontation occurred. When the hotel clerk interrupted the manager, the manager then begin to berate his employee in front of us. After the manager called the female employee that cancelled our second night and verified we were not lying, he then hung up on her. The way he talked down to his staff in front of customers was very embarrassing and cringe worthy. What is he like when the customers aren't there to witness his behavior? The cancellation issue got cleared up, and we both went to our separate rooms. My bathroom was filthy. I've uploaded a picture of the stool. There is vomit or fecal matter streaming down the side of the stool and the bathtub. The bed was comfortable, but the people above me made noise all night. When I fell asleep, the sleep was good. There is no sound proofing and you could easily hear people talking through walls and floors. The morning free breakfast was adequate and tasted fine. I went back to my room to try and get some more sleep, and at 8:45 a.m. someone was pounding on my door waking me up. It was maid service. (There was no "do not disturb" signs to put out) and they went away. An hour later, while I was asleep, without even a knock my door flung open. There standing in the doorway was a hotel employee and then he slammed the door shut and walked away without so much of an apology. I had had enough. It was time to leave. I got dressed, and my friend in the other building of this hotel called me and he was ready to go as well. I couldn't wait to share my bad experience with him, and then found out he had the exact same experience. Even though he had a do not disturb sign out, the maid knocked on his door and woke him up at 830 a_m. 830 a_m! Within an hour of that, while he was sleeping, an employee opened his door into his room as well without knocking. So there you go. If you like sitting in a soiled bathroom, tossing and turning to noisy neighbors, having your privacy violated by motel staff, or confrontations with a motel manager who could care less about customer service, then by all means stay here. You can have my room because I won't be coming back ever again.

For $134 for the night I expected to have a room that looked finished not have the microwave sitting on top of the the mini fridge on the floor or hang our clothes on a corner rack instead of a closet, an entertainment center instead of shelf and carpet instead of vinyl granted decent vinyl. We felt gouged and did try to get our money back to go to the Best Western instead but the front desk guy told us we were out of luck! We had a long very rainy chilly day driving and just wanted to tuck in to a cozy room! It was very cold and it took the wall unit a couple of hrs to warm up the room! Very Unsatisfactory needless to say and we won't ever stay there again.

We were planning a family road trip to Yellowstone this summer and decided to make a stop in Wall on the way up so we could explore the badlands for a day. After doing some research on the town of Wall I learned a few things about places to stay: 1. all of the available lodging are motels, and 2. nearly all of them look as if they've seen better days. After reading through reviews and flipping through images online I found my way to Yelp and discovered the Hansen Inn. The photos honestly looked almost too good to be true, but the reviews backed them up, and I loved that we would be supporting a local business while in town, so with the price being about the same as the Best Western, I went ahead and booked us a room. When we arrived it was easy to check in, and I really liked that they have door codes for each individual door that is customized to your stay. It's conveniently located across the street from Wall Drug, which is the biggest attraction in town, and if you're staying here you really should explore it as it's a pretty unique spot. Once inside your room, you'll find a comfortable and clean space with an air conditioner, modern bathroom, TV, microwave, and fridge. There is an ice machine within the building, and we loved that they also provided some complimentary water bottles. The bed was decent - it was honestly the lowlight of the stay, but it was comfortable enough, and overall if I was staying in Wall I'd without a doubt book this place again. For me, I think it's a bit more of a 4.5/5 rather than a full five just because of the bed, but given that it's in a small town with limited options, I do think this is probably the best motel in town, and that gives it the extra .5 star in my book. Some of our family stayed in other places because they had pools and this one doesn't, but to be honest if you drive through Wall you'll see that the outdoor pools at nearby motels are really not much to write home about, and I had no regrets about booking the nicer place for a more comfortable stay.

When I first called she answered by her first name, not as Days Inn. I asked if I had the correct phone number and she said yes. I stated that I was charged for a cancelled reservation. She said "tell you what, call back in a half hour". Not a great start. When I called back she didn't take any information or look up anything before saying that if I was charged it was because of the policy. She said that there are no hotels that let you cancel under 48 hours, which is just untrue as most major chains, including Wyndham, allow for cancellations up the check in, particularly under their military member program. The Days Inn booking failed to disclose that cancellations made under 48 hours cannot be cancelled. The military member policy on the Wyndham app is free cancellation up to 24 hours. Wyndham customer service was a chat that disconnected followed by a series of unhelpful and incompetent call center employees. I will never again stay at a Wyndham property.

This motel is located a few blocks from downtown and Wall Drug, an easy walk although probably not on a hot day. It's not big, has a tiny sitting area in the lobby and the breakfast area with tables on the other side. It looks and feels clean with everything in good shape. We had a king room on the ground floor. It's regular size with fridge, microwave oven, small square table with 2 comfortable chairs and a good size TV. Bed and pillows too soft not comfortable. Lighting is not the brightest but adequate. Aircon worked very well and not too noisy. If you don't need a pool or exercise room (which are usually not that great in other somewhat higher end chain motels anyway) this is a much better value hotel to stay. Shower is really strong like a fire hose. No way to keep light on in the bathroom without the fan which is inconvenient. Breakfast - the room's not big only a few tables so can get crowded with nowhere to sit. Many people just brought food back to their rooms. There are a couple of tables in front outside but no good if it's raining. Anyway it's simple, just a microwaveable breakfast sandwich with cheese and sausage (actually not bad), oatmeal packets, yogurt, breakfast bars (not very tasty). Coffee but no hot water for tea. But there are tea bags so you could microwave hot water in a paper cup (except I have always been told paper cups are not necessarily microwave safe).

I guess it's not everyday you find a family run motel that's been in business over forty years. In the off season, the innkeeper sews, knits and crochets. Her handiwork is for sale in the front office where she lays out breakfast treats wrapped in plastic wrap. I asked her if she made the curtains in the room. She did. She explained they were odd sized windows. The quilts to match are coming. She gave us great suggestions for dinner and warned us of false advertising and other shenanigans in the Black Hills. Our cabin was quiet, clean, affordable and a perfect fit with a queen and a twin at opposite ends. I was able to refreeze my ice blocks and keep my road veggie snacks cool in the refrigerator. The cabins have kitchenettes, so if you bring your own cooking utensils, plates and food, you can save even more. We began our morning with a walk into the badlands along a dirt road just beyond the hotel and watched the sun come up. Overall, it was a great start to home.
