Beds Very clean and spacious. Everything felt and looked brand new. The beds were the perfect balance between soft and firm. The pillows were also equally balanced between soft and firm. Very comfortable! The beds were true queen size, not full size, which was nice. Kitchen area The kitchen area had a big refrigerator, microwave, sink, dishwasher, and coffee maker. Everything you need for an extended stay is available. Even dish towels, paper towels, dishes, and silverware is included. Chill area A nice size TV and comfy sofa made the room feel more inviting and relaxing. It was the perfect area to relax with some snacks during the day. A bonus feature was the divider curtain to allow for privacy between the bedroom area and the sitting room area during the evening. This is VERY IMPORTANT for those traveling with children. Sometimes adults need a little bit of separation. Aspects of the room I really appreciated the amount of outlets available. Traveling with kids means that tablets and Nintendo switch devices along with phones, laptops, and cameras need to all be charged at one time. There was also plenty of space to store suitcases, clothing, and other stuff. The spaciousness of the room was incredible! After being cramped in a fully loaded SUV for many hours, space is a luxury! This room gave us all much needed space plus more! Bathroom The bathroom was super clean and well organized. The shower had dispensers of nice smelling shampoo, conditioner, and body wash that was sulfate free and paraben free. The water pressure was perfect! The sink area had dispensers for soap and lotion that had matching pleasant scents. Breakfast Wow! This was by far the BEST free breakfast that we have had! There was something for everyone. Even my super picky five year old son found something that he liked. My two kids, husband, and I left feeling full and beyond satisfied. All of the breakfast options were well above average for complementary breakfast food. The drink options include regular coffee and decaf, apple juice, fresh orange juice, and milk. The hot food included eggs, sausage, and potatoes. Oatmeal with optional toppings was also available. There was a pastry area with delicious scones and muffins! There was also a breakfast sandwich station that included soft flaky biscuits, sausage, eggs, and cheese. The bacon and cheese egg bites were an added bonus! Also, the spinach and feta pastry was amazing! The waffle station had all of the yummy toppings to make any waffle a little extra. The yogurt area was also pretty nice. Then, the shower did not drain at all. I checked the drain, it was open, so it must have been clogged. They need a room-by-room punch list of items in this hotel for sure. When I first checked in, the hotel was a little short-staffed, but they were still friendly and responsive to my requests. My birthday was in November, and the staff went out of their way to make it special. They made me a special breakfast, cookies, and gave me a present. It was all waiting for me when I went down that morning for breakfast. They have been prompt to respond to any maintenance or housekeeping requests. A few times, they have had to move my full clean day due to heavy checkouts, but they have been prompt about completing it the next day. They are happy to receive my packages and hold them until I can pick them up. Today I came home to find the cutest Christmas tree in my room with a note from Jess, the GM. Since I will be away from my family for the holidays, they wanted to do something nice for me. While living in a hotel isn't anyone's first choice, if you have to do it, Townplace Suites is a cute, clean, cozy place to be.

When we first checked in, the room had a slight odor, but we tried to overlook it. However, once we got into bed, we realized the sheets and comforter had a strong, unpleasant smell. I contacted the front desk, and they provided clean linens, which I appreciated. After changing the bedding ourselves, the smell was still very noticeable. Upon further inspection, it became clear that the odor was coming from the mattress itself, which smelled strongly of urine. At that point, it was late, and we had no real option but to sleep on the pull-out sofa for the night. The next day, we were moved to a different room and were told the original room had to be taken out of service because of the issue. While I'm glad it was addressed, it was concerning that this was not caught by housekeeping beforehand. I requested to speak with a manager about the situation and was told I would receive a call on Monday. Unfortunately, I never received any follow-up. Overall, this was not a good experience, especially considering the cost of the stay. The lack of quality control and follow-up from management was disappointing. I hope the hotel takes steps to improve housekeeping inspections and customer service moving forward.

Don't let the photos that the motel posts of the rooms fool you. I came to this motel because I…read morestayed in a Wyndham hotel in Texas and had a pleasant experience. This motel puts the Wyndham brand to shame. My first experience coming into this motel was waiting 15 minutes for someone to come to the front desk. Then they complained because I had a debit card instead of a credit card. Since when do you need good credit to stay at a motel? I have plenty of money to cover my stay. I payed for the Executive King Suite. When I entered my motel room I immediately noticed that the flooring wasn't very securely fastened to the ground. There are little air pockets all throughout the floor and when you step on them they creak like an old house. I also noticed several places where the flooring didn't meet up with the wall and showed the bare concrete underneath. The next thing I noticed was that no matter how hard I tried, I could not get the curtains on the window to stay closed. There was also about a half inch gap at the bottom right side of the entry door and evidence of someone chipping away at the weather seal to make the door shut. The top door hinges were warped and you could see where it entered the wooden door through a broken up crack. There is a door that leads into the neighboring room that also has its fair share of cracks. Also, the bathroom doesn't have a fan, only a vent hole. There are clear signs of water damage on the ceiling in the bathroom and a wooden panel that sticks out like a sore thumb right next to the toilet. There is a strange attic entry looking door right above the shower head. The back plate that normally covers the hole that the shower head goes through was just hanging freely on the pipe. Because the bathroom doesn't have a fan or a floor drain, any water that gets in the floor takes forever to evaporate. We needed up using one of our towels to temporarily soak the water up. There was a chopped off telephone wire just dangling out of the wall next to the side of the bed. Also, the support beam for the room and this section of the building is exposed, making the entire thing feel incomplete. Overall, a horrible experience. They have proven that they only bandage up really bad problems to attempt to cover up customer concerns and keep brining in profit.

They have a sign that says you have to eat your food in their small lobby area and not take it to your room. (But I don't know if they enforce that.) Parking can be an issue. There were a lot of people with big pickups staying there and one in a nearby room practically blocked me in. (I was able to maneuver out because I had an economy car.) But that's not really the motel's fault. I'll stay here again if I'm by myself, but I won't bring my family here.
