I've used them on every project on my house and office since 1995. They wouldn't be in business this long if they weren't top notch. Their wood flooring team is incredible and the tile selection and patience with us as customers is fantastic. read more

Have used products for 3 renovations over the years. The tiles they sell are generally better quality or at least all from same batch compared to what you get at the big box stores and 2 of 3 times that I bought from them were fine. The most recent experience was not so great. They are very nice when they are trying to get the sale, but once your order is in and you have a thought to modify your order they will tell you everything has been shipped and will be at the warehouse for pick up today even before they check their computers or call their suppliers. They also use this strategy saying they will give you 10 to 20% off for being a valued customer, but unfortunately that 10-20% is taken off of their marked up prices. For example, a 25 pound bag of mapei grout which you can get at Lowe's for $33 or around $40 from other local tile sellers was $50 (with tax )with 20% off. I am willing to pay higher prices and buy local to keep good stores in business, but I will shop somewhere that is more customer friendly when I look for tiles for my next renovation. read more

They oversold me product and said I cannot return. I have 2-1/2 boxes of tile left over, 1 unopened tube of caulk ( which I didn't ask for, but they said I needed) and they sold me a 25 lb bag of grout vs a 10 lb bag and reassured me I needed that much. My contractor used about 2 lbs of grout. I would not recommend this place. read more

They did the floor wrong and took my deposit of 3k and refused to fix or finish left me with a torn up bathroom. Sent an unskilled installer who created such a mess that they decided in a rude text to not come back. Installer measured floor wrong. The tile floor was 1 inch shy of reaching the wall. He filled that one inch gap to the wall with grout. It was horrible. read more

Renovating an entire first floor can be daunting. Ted and Ralph were so incredibly patient and helpful. First came the floor tile. The compliments have been plentiful from the sub contractors to the town inspectors. But the harshest critic, me, fell in love with them! Next came the backsplash, and having it all come together with counters and cabinets in the kitchen. Taking the samples, picking out new ones, and going in and out of the showroom most daily for over three months.....and each time I open the door, I am greeted with smiles and suggestions. I can't wait to start my next project with Ted and Ralph. I know it will be seamless and a delight to work with them again. read more

John Bench and his team were fantastic to work with. From design, to consultation, pricing and installation everything was seamless and easy. The crew of installers did an amazing job and worked quickly and completed the job in less time than anticipated. Every time we have guests in our home we receive multiple compliments on our beautiful new tile floor. I highly recommend Best Tile and Wood to anyone looking to work with a great company. read more

Awesome staff that is more than helpful! They answered all my questions to make sure I got the right products needed for my project, they even gave me some tips for installing my new floors since I was taking on the job myself. read more

I bought a thousand dollars worth of tile from this company but changed my mind about using their installation service because they doubled the price they'd quoted verbally because my job was "too small". When I went back a few days later to ask a question, they were very snotty. I later found the same tile they'd sold me for 30% less at a different tile store. Will not go back again! read more

Nice selection of tile, please read fine print on back side of order. You have to pay for shipping to store and a restocking fee for returned tile. read more

Extensive selection of tile and excellent customer service. Margi and Ralph both gave us a lot of help selecting floor tile for our kitchen. The price they gace us for travertine tile was better than we got from Worldwide Tile and Flooring for the exact same product. Definitely recommended for the price and personal service read more

PLEASE NOTE: This complaint was submitted to the New Jersey BBB. My brother & I went to Best Tile & were assisted by Margi. We looked at tile possibilites, I cut it down to 3, & got samples. I went back with my contractor who gave her the measurements required to order the tiles and grout. I ordered some ivory and black grout. I needed to check some things before placing the final order. I went back, alone & told Margi that I wanted to add a special bullnose (B/N) to my design. We found a B/N that matched, my order was confirmed, & I was given a receipt; with B/N on it. Next day, she called & said she made a mistake with the price & that the B/N she was ordering for me was an additional $10 each. I was leaving on a trip the next day & at a loss for time, so I accepted the extra charge (asking for a discount) to confirm the order & be able to get the tiles when I returned in 2 1/2 weeks. I returned & picked up the tiles & grout &found that the black grout was changed to ivory, by my contractor, because over time, the black would bleed onto the ivory (something that my contractor stressed to her & which she said she never thought about). When I ordered the grout, she only said that she was surprised that my contractor would deal with 2 different color grouts, because it was more work. When my contractors saw what I called a special B/N; they immediately said it was a chair rail. They tried to work with it; but a chair rail against a B/N would stick out, look unattractive & have sharp edges. I called Best Tile & spoke to John & explained that Margi sold me tiles that were not funtional. I further explained that she should have known a chair rail would not lie flat against a bullnose; causing it to stick out and be dangerous. John said the tiles were not returnable. I repeated that the tiles are not functional & dangerous & that I had shown photos to Margi so she was aware that the chair rail was going to go up against a B/N. John tried to push the blame on my contractor calling him incompetent. I said No, your tile specialist is the one that is incompetent. Desired Settlement: Refund I went to Best Tile & Wood because they are a BBB accredited company; so I expected them to also be a reputable company. When you go to a Specialty Store you expect the sales representatives to be specialists & guide you with buying what is functional and, of course, not dangerous. In this case, Margi 'did not' and Best Tile & Wood have not been willing to own up to their representative's mistake and refund my money. They should own up to their error, take back the tiles, and refund me for the amount of $419.44. PLEASE ALSO NOTE: Best Tile and Wood 'did not' respond to the BBB. They ignored the BBB just like they ignored me. They are not a reputable company. And, I have learned, that they 'are not' BBB accredited. In fact, they have a D+ rating with the BBB (with A+ being the highest; meaning they are very low on the totem pole). read more

Let me start by saying this is the first time i have ever have posted an online review but given the experience I had I felt compelled to let the general public know what they are potentially getting into here. I had Best Tile in Flemington do a total renovation (down to the studs) on my master bathroom shower. A brand new bathroom should last a minimum of 15-20 years on the workmanship. After 3+ years the main threshold into the shower literally developed a crack right down the middle which means one of two things happened 1) was installed improperly or 2) the piece was defective. In either case, Best Tile should stand behind their work. After numerous calls and left messages I was told it was not their problem and they gave me a number of another tile and marble contractor to come and take a look at it which I would have to pay for. There are only two ways to remedy the problem, first would be to replace the threshold which would require removing the shower doors and reinstalling them at a cost of over$1000 or second have the crack filled with something which is a less than desirable fix. In either case, it would require an out of pocket expediture which they should cover. In addition, I had two tiles on the outside of the shower (an area which does not get wet) literally fall off the wall. I would have given them 0 stars if that was an option. Stay away read more
