I ordered a remanufactured one from Autozone and their vendor was not able to provide them one after a 2 week wait. I found Northlake Auto Recyclers online and they had the head I needed in stock and already pulled. It was off a 2018 Dodge Journey. Cost for the head was $125. They come with a disclaimer that heads are for use as cores to be rebuilt only and are only guaranteed not to be cracked or warped. I took the head to a machine shop and the tech said it was in such good condition that he did not recommend rebuilding it and only did a quick milling of the sealing surfaces to be sure it was true and clean for the head gasket. Just started up the car and it runs great. I highly recommend this place. It is not a junkyard. It is more similar to a parts store but all the parts are used. You go in, tell the guys at the counter what you want, and they go in back and get it off a shelf for you. They have tons of parts for late model cars. The employee said they specialize in cars 7 years and newer.

I told Frank we didn't need either mirror so he sent me a mailing label I shipped them back he credited my credit card! during the whole process Frank was totally helpful and easy to deal with. I called to check it out. The guy that answered the phone was professional and nice and he said, his name was David. He let me explain my situation first, he looked in the computer and said, there are 2 options you can go for Lifetime Warranty or 1 year warranty. I told him for the 1 year warranty, because I'm a single mom with 3 kids and a mom and I'm on a tight budget. The price for an alternator with 1 year warranty with taxes came out to $133.and some change. Which its a great price. Now to find who is going to put it for me. I asked David if he knew the difference between a 136 amp and a 160 amp, he said yes. He told me that a 136 amp is for the basic electronic in a car or minivan, the 160 amp is for those who are planning to add a T.V or a music system. I asked him does a face off count, wait is it still called that cause I'm older. He said yes giggling. He said, its up to me which one, but he only had a 160 amp, but he can order a 136 amp if I needed it. So, a 160 amp for $133 and some change great price. Thank You David for the service, the politeness, for having a sense of humor and foremost patience with me. I totally recommend!!! Thanks for your help.
