Less than a year later, the fridge and freezer stopped getting cold And I had to buy a new fridge. This time I hired an honest person to fix it and they clearly told me to go buy a new fridge, which I did. A brand new Whirlpool only ran me $450. The people who say a good words prices are fair full of it. Beware!!!

Matt quickly identified the issue as a seized drum roller and explained that the replacement part was a significant improvement due to its updated design. Since he was already replacing one roller, I decided to have him replace all of them, knowing it was only a matter of time before the others wore out. He simply opened the refrigerator door, said the temperature wasn't cool enough, claimed the sealed system needed repair, and suggested that I contact GE directly. During the visit, he spent time talking on his cellphone for personal reasons and then walked back to his car without performing any meaningful inspection or troubleshooting. I felt like I paid $85 for nothing. Later, I had a GE technician come out. He performed an actual diagnosis, found that the condenser area was heavily clogged with dust, and simply advised me to clean it. After cleaning the condenser, the refrigerator has been working properly. The GE technician also only charged the standard service call fee but actually diagnosed and resolved the issue. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Appliance Guard. I expected a professional diagnosis for the service fee, but instead I felt like I wasted my money.

It apparently wasn't the only problem as my fridge was still leaking the next day. Kevin came back out and finally diagnosed the problem as a faulty ice maker.
