My aunt asked me to come here to pick her up freshly sliced bacon, she has been raving about it for years. I wasn't planning on getting everything else, but mentioned in passing to the guy behind the counter that I would buy a half pint of vodka sauce, but they only had full pints out. The guy asked me to hand me a full pint, and he put it in a half sized container and charged me half. I've literally never had that happen anywhere. Most people would've just said "oh that's too bad." This is definitely an old school butcher, don't expect to see state of the art scales, or beautifully written menus. You don't come here for that, you come here for the products. I see other reviews regarding prices not being marked, the owners definitely saw that because most items had prices per lb. All the prepared food was clearly marked. A lot of the reviews here are outdated. Shop small and local, give them a shot. They need your business more than Whole Foods, or the major chain grocery stores.

It's a sizable store with a huge selection of items, practically a one-stop shop. Luckily it wasn't too crowded yet. Supposedly the line gets so long you have to wait outside. We love their lean kielbasa. We've gotten pierogies from here before but not on this trip. They offer two different "brands" with many filling options. They are at two very different price points. Mom's are $12.49 while the other type is about half that price. The stuffed cabbage is usually good but this time it was so salty it wasn't enjoyable. My parents were not too happy that they've now started charging 3% for using a credit card considering how much they spend. This kept them from buying as much as they usually do.

There was a chalkboard sign outside that said "Best steak sandwich in NJ." Upon walking in, it felt like I was in an episode of the Soprano's. I inquired about the best steak sandwich and received a foot-long cheesesteak on fresh bread with hot peppers and onions, fresh sliced American cheese for $10. They have a lot of interesting sandwiches to choose from. They caught my eye because they use focaccia for some of them which I love any opportunity to have it . I ordered a tuna on focaccia with mixed greens and peppers on the side . Tuna was slightly disappointing. It was missing a little twang/bite I might recommend a jalapeño relish which I use at home when I make it. I also ordered the ranchers roast beef and cheddar cheese, which also needed a little pick up me up also Maybe a twangy horseradish mayo. I also ordered the red white Italian, which is on focaccia bread, which was a very hearty sandwich loaded with chicken breast and roasted peppers. The sandwich needs to be eaten fairly quickly as the focaccia gets slightly soggy. we also ordered the buffalo chicken wrap, which unfortunately didn't have much buffalo taste according to my husband. Minus these few flavor factors for me. The sandwiches in general were very good prices were slightly high, but the serving size was adequate for the pricing. Staff was super friendly. And I love how they have their routine getting all the orders out. They have a good amount of seating inside if you want to eat there. They also have a large variety of chips and drinks also .
