It's a sizable store with a huge selection of items, practically a one-stop shop. Luckily it wasn't too crowded yet. Supposedly the line gets so long you have to wait outside. We love their lean kielbasa. We've gotten pierogies from here before but not on this trip. They offer two different "brands" with many filling options. They are at two very different price points. Mom's are $12.49 while the other type is about half that price. The stuffed cabbage is usually good but this time it was so salty it wasn't enjoyable. My parents were not too happy that they've now started charging 3% for using a credit card considering how much they spend. This kept them from buying as much as they usually do.

The game was held at Mike Sheppard Sr. Field which is where the Seton Hall University softball team plays...a very nice facility. As we left the house late (I had to drive from Newark all the way home to get her, then drive back to Newark...ugh), we didn't get a chance to eat so I was praying they had some kind of concession stand or food truck. When we finally got to the field we were SO happy to find Donny's Dogs. Donny's is apparently a pretty popular hot dog truck from the area and the dirty water dogs are supposed to be pretty good. My daughter and I each ordered two dogs-hers with just ketchup and I had one with mustard and ketchup and one with kraut and chili. Hard to beat the price for the plain dogs-three for $5. The plain dogs were very good, but I didn't care for the chili and kraut dog-had a funky flavor that I just didn't like. The rest of the stuff Donny's had for sale (candy, drinks, chips, etc) seemed like it was decently priced. And the end of the night we had some good hot dogs, got to watch a great game that my daughter's future high school team won, and had some good Daddy-Daughter time. I hope I get another chance to try Donny's Dogs...

If the smell of smoked sausage first thing in the morning gets you out of bed, then I recommend checking this place out next time you are craving kielbasa. Prices are on point, and every time I've purchased a couple pounds for dinner or a party, it's always been a hit. Recommend heating on the grill, but braised in beer and pan fried works well too. Whatever floats your boat (kielbasa)!
