Instead we used a huge national company. In our defense, we didn't know about Boss Energy when we made our choice and the big company looked like a local company because the sales person was a local person we had met socially. Things went pretty well for the first year but then the big company went belly up and our "friend" ghosted us. Now the system has shut itself down and our customer service person at Berkeley Electric suggested we call Boss Energy. Jared answered the phone (what- an actual human?? How 1990s of them!) and immediately went into problem solving mode. The problem is not yet fixed, but I have a good feeling about Boss Energy!

The team then saw that my house was showing a high draw from the grid. They investigated and found two CTs(?) were showing "negative". They turned them around and the house power numbers returned to normal. So happy this problem has been resolved. So happy with the professional service I received. As a consumer, all I ask for is "good service", and to "address the issue with a high degree of competence". I got that!

When they didn't show up on installation day, I had to call around to figure out why. When the installation crew showed up, they didn't understand the installation plan. They dug a trench in my yard and left it there for close to 3 months. They installed the sub panel on the outside of my garage, when the plans clearly say to install it inside. They've scheduled several other technicians to come out to finish the job and no call no show is pretty much the common practice. My system is currently generating power, but they didn't install the CTs so I could get readings on my consumption. It's been a mess to say the least. I'm still all for alternate energy, but LGCY just doesn't have their act together to deliver.

Somehow they got ahold of our ssn and ran a credit check. They also called SCE&G to change our account and the city to set up a permit to get it done. They also assigned us a project manager. All BEFORE WE WERE EVEN CUSTOMERS. They are seriously shady and would highly recommend you stay clear of this company.

That's the first problem. Why does a customer have to pay to have a service scheduled? After two weeks still no scheduling was made so I asked for a refund. It is May 27th and it has still not been approved. When trying to ask why or for more information on when I will be refunded, I keep being told another 3 weeks and being told I cannot speak to accounting or a manager. This company is absolute garbage to deal with and just keeps your money even though a service or product has not been provided. Stay far far away from Blue Raven Solar or SunPower. Service stinks. Customer Services stinks. And the price they want for things stinks. One of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with.

VES installed solar panels on our house in April of 2021. Their installers began installing the…read morepanels on the wrong side of our roof because they misread the plans. While they did "flash" the multiple holes that should not have been made, VES has yet to fulfill their promise to return and completely repair and replace the damaged shingles. I have emailed them MULTIPLE times, and while they do eventually reply, it is now almost November and yet again their replies have ceased and no final repairs have been done. We are trying to change HOI Companies and cannot get wind and hail insurance because of the damage VES caused to our roof. At this point we have no choice but to file suit for the repairs and hire a roofing company ourselves to make the needed repairs. Very disappointed in this company, their customer service and their unwillingness to follow through with their promises.
