I was told they'd be installed right away, but after four months of delays and broken promises, I contacted the Lincoln City Inspectors, who confirmed the detectors had been missing for over five years. The city issued a citation, and shortly after that, RRE retaliated by cancelling all existing service requests and has ignored every repair request I've submitted since December 23, 2024. The home has serious safety and health issues, including: * Rodent infestation due to missing vent screens (confirmed by the Lincoln Health Department) * Toxic air and poor ventilation, triggering regular asthma attacks * HVAC failure -- the ductwork doesn't deliver air to the first floor, making it unlivable year-round * Unpaid trash service, even though it's part of my rent -- I was contacted directly by the trash company due to months of non-payment * Exterior damage, including loose siding hanging over the garage To make matters worse, a neighbor -- who attends the same church as the owner, Dana -- informed me just this week that Dana is intentionally refusing to make repairs and is bragging that she will continue to collect rent from me for the remainder of my lease as punishment for reporting the safety violations to the city. This is not just poor property management -- it's retaliatory, negligent, and unethical behavior. RRE demands full rent on time each month but fails to uphold basic responsibilities under Nebraska tenant law. If you're looking to rent in Lincoln, do yourself a favor and avoid RRE. There are plenty of other property management companies that treat tenants with respect and follow the law -- this is not one of them. The positive reviews on here are from the friends and family of the owners of RRE.

Took 6months for them to schedule bug spray and then was not given 24 hour notice. From there on we paid rent until they never sprayed again. We withheld 1 month of rent and won our eviction court case against Property Management. Tanya should not be a leasing agent, as she is degrading, unprofessional, and overall rude and inconsistent. I am very displeased with any conversation we have due to lack of information and things getting done. Neighbors set our apartment on fire and landlords did nothing. Didn't come and look at the floor at all. So we Highly recommend against any property from this company. It is embarrassing to rent from them. Written with disgust!!!!

We went 2 months (July/August) with no air conditioning and they never came to fix it. We had mold growing in multiple places around the house and no one came to fix it. They fixed a water pipe leak by duct taping the pipe and told us to "not use that bathroom." They never fixed anything we asked them to while we were there and then once we moved out they made us pay an extra month and kept our damage deposit to make repairs that we did not cause . Under no circumstances if you are reading this post, sign a lease with this company. Tammy is nice, Bill is one of the most unprofessional, unaccommodating individuals I have ever meet in my life.

Our experience with Century Sales & Management has been frustrating from the start and ended in a…read morecomplete breakdown of communication and accountability. Throughout our tenancy, we encountered ongoing problems: * Inspections labeled "Annual" were conducted every few months, often with vague notices providing less than 24 hours' notice * We were wrongly charged for lawn care, despite the lease not clearly assigning that responsibility and were only refunded after disputing it and pointing out their listing. * There was a serious delay replacing damaged patio stairs, creating a safety hazard that should have been a priority before we even moved in. * The company repeatedly charged us for renters insurance we already had, and it took constant effort on our end to have it removed. * When it came time to renew, we were told we needed to give 53 days' notice, even though the lease only required 30. A misleading tactic that felt like an attempt to trap tenants But the final straw was how our security deposit was mishandled after we moved out in May. We were charged for general cleaning, carpet cleaning, and even items like drip pans and a cracked refrigerator door all without documentation or proof of damage. For context: the fridge crack existed at move-in, and the drip pans needed replaced, which we did ourselves (approx. $10). We didn't report these issues at the time because we didn't want to nitpick. Yet they used them against us without evidence. We followed their move-out checklist and thoroughly cleaned the unit. Nebraska law only allows cleaning deductions if a unit is left in an excessively dirty condition, which was not the case. Still, they failed to provide any invoices, receipts, or photos to justify the charges. All of which are legally required. The manager, Brian, even told us they aren't required to provide anything more than a generic letter that says "Cleaning (Damage)." This isn't just dismissive, it blatantly disregards Nebraska law, which mandates a detailed, itemized statement for any deductions from a security deposit. All we asked for was transparency and accuracy. After weeks of vague, inconsistent communication, errors on our move-out statement, and being completely ignored, we filed formal complaints with the BBB and the Nebraska Attorney General. Only after those complaints were submitted and the full email chain was forwarded to the company's CEO did they suddenly change course, stating they will issuing what they framed as a "courtesy" refund of the full deposit. This company has shown a consistent pattern of poor communication, legal missteps, and disregard for tenant rights. We would not rent from them again and strongly advise others to stay away.

They'll say whatever they need to just to get you off their back, and then do absolutely nothing. We've been waiting endlessly for a second dryer that was promised, only to be fed excuse after excuse: "We need permission from the owner," "We don't have keys"--really? Total BS. They clearly don't care about tenants once you've signed the lease. The lady in the office is a real peach to deal with (note the sarcasm), and the property manager, Taryn, is incredibly difficult to work with. The entire complex has been asking for Allo internet service for months. Instead of helping, Marcy told tenants we had to contact Allo ourselves to request a site survey. When we did, Allo informed us they've been trying to reach Taryn for months with no success--just to get approval to wire the building! If something needs to be repaired or replaced, you might as well do it yourself. The maintenance crew is useless--can't even handle a five-minute task without dragging it out or screwing it up. But of course, they still want to raise the rent without maintaining the property. Save yourself the headache. This property management place is a joke, and the people running it make it worse. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!

We cleaned from top top to bottom even mowed the lawn when we left. They took almost the whole 2300 deposit for carpet cleaning and re painting. The home was new, we were there a year. The carpets didn't need cleaned or re painted, wd kept everything super clean. ANYWAY, we didn't complain because we moved into another cheaper property from them. Which wd wouldn't have done if we knew they were going to do all of that with our previous place. They charged for weed pulling in the egress windows. I went back for some packages that had been delivered, looked in the egress windows and weeds were still there. I bet you they never got the carpets cleaned and no repainting was done. All false charges. Fast forward to 3 years later. We are being forced to move from our home due to false accusations from a neighbor/neighbors. No proof has been provided. No neighbors have confronted us. It's complete false BS things that they are claiming. All of this happened after a new door was put in. The previous door was crooked and all it took was one slam of it and the whole thing fell over. It was broken when we moved in. I believe that they made everything up because they were mad about the door repair. So get this, I'm not cleaning!! Why should I waste my time cleaning when they are going to charge $300 for cleaning anyway. We have lived here a while with 4 kids. I'm sure this place will need repainted. But also wear and tear for 3 years. We shouldn't have to pay for the whole thing right??? Wear and tear is expected. I know we won't see a dime of our deposit back. Another issue that I'm having issues is that I work nights and sleep during the day. I have had to wake up and leave the house for them to do house tours. No way I'm going to sleep knowing there is people walking around my home. I could stay and try to sleep but my anxiety won't allow that. I asked politely if they could please make the showings after 3:00 pm. They said they would try. When I spoke with them about these accusations from the neighbors. They said that there were several complaints over the last 3 years. If that was the case, why did it take 3 years to hear about it?? They also could not even tell me which neighbor. Why are my neighbors figuring out who the landlord is and complaining to them?? I still think this is all fictional. Please don't rent from this company. They are incredibly unprofessional and don't have an ounce of kindness in them. Here I am being forced to move the same week as my childs major surgery. Do they care??? Hell no!! Run far far away from them.

I have before and after pictures. Asked too meet with owner to get reimbursement. No such chance. I asked for someone to come patch the leaking foundation where the dirt was coming in only left with another mess to clean. In the winter I learned that the only heat source was 1 vent that the kitchen and living room shared. Both my kids got their feet severely burned they did nothing. 1.5 years later I finally got a second air conditioner put into another with. I got the place sprayed by Brooks exterminator. The was the best thing that happened while living there with roaches, spiders, mice and centipedes. I received $229 deposit back after $775 was given. The property managers I had 3 were awful and disrespectful. Kimberly Jennifer ?.... they raised the rent to $975 and are the worst slumb landlords in Lincoln Ne. This is a massive apartment complex with multiple buildings of varying styles and degrees of renovation. There is a huge beautiful pool area at the clubhouse, a gym with a reasonable amount of equipment that was usually always working, and a party room for rent. The office staff is friendly and helpful and the maintenance staff is wonderful to work with. I lived on Norfolk drive in one of the newer buildings. It was a three story locked entry building that always had a working elevator and the hallways and floors were cleaned weekly. Mail boxes and garbage were conveniently located close to my building. Plenty of uncovered parking space and both the parking lot and sidewalks were always kept in fantastic shape. In winter, they were salted and snow was shoveled. In the spring and summer the gardening was impeccable. My apartment was a spacious 2 bedroom with a bonus sunroom off the master bedroom. I live in a house now and still dream about the size of that bedroom, it was phenomenal. Huge sunken tub and separate shower in the bathroom. Nicely sized spare bedroom and bath and a beautiful up to date kitchen and living area. The apartment has its own water heater and central heating and air. It is very easy to keep your home comfortable regardless of what Nebraska weather is giving you. The walls and floors are pretty great in regards to sound proofing. I only occasionally heard muffled noise and never had any noise complaints for myself. The balconies were pretty large and mine faced a beautiful running trail and waterway. In the summer the fireflies danced off the water and in the winter a local fox frequently frolicked in the snow. It was a hard apartment to let go of. The rent was super affordable and never drastically went up or down year to year. In the end, all of my deposit minus the carpet cleaning was returned to me and my move out was as seamless as the three years I rented here. I think this is undoubtedly the best apartment I have ever lived in.
