They were late and then told me they couldn't get there until Monday, 5 days away. Insisting this needs taken care and can't wait. They finally showed up. First they told me I needed to expand my ductwork, that the unit was too much for the current set up. I said, you mean the unit you guys sold us? That was going to be around $17 grand. After getting past that nonsense he tells me it was going to cost $3800, minimum. Told monarch I was getting a second opinion, that's way too much money for a new unit. Called Lara's, they came the next morning and for $890 I had my ac back. Most of that was Freon. Both workers were very polite and had everything fixed and tidy in about an hour. My ancient AC unit needed full replacement, so I did my due diligence and started calling around to get bids from different companies (while sweating profusely). Right out the gate, Julio was absolutely awesome. He not only answered after hours, but he took the time to explain different questions I should be asking all of the contractors to make sure I'm getting the best warranty possible and the most complete service. That alone was above and beyond-- he didn't have to do that, but it goes to show that not only is he about educating and empowering consumers. . . but that he also knows his product and service is incredible enough to stand up to that level of scrutiny. After getting multiple bids from different highly ranked companies around the town, Great Dane HVAC provided the best warranty by a mile (literally about double the length of what many others were offering across multiple categories), but his quote was also very reasonable (and beat many of the competitors who were offering smaller units with less warranty for $2000+ more). All along the way, communication with Julio was awesome-- whether via calls, texts, or in person, Julio communicated everything promptly and was just generally awesome. Julio is awesome and I can't recommend Great Dane HVAC enough. They just left a little bit ago and my house is already back to a normal, refreshing temp. They've got lifetime customers now!

On the day of installation, he arrived on time, and replaced the entire HVAC in very little time (outdoor compressor and indoor furnace and everything!), he even hauled away the old HVAC and cleaned up after himself, which I felt was just above and beyond. I have been putting it back together with sticks and glue for the past four (4) years, maybe five (5), honestly at a minimum; hoping and praying it never turned into anything serious... I went to turn on my A/C last week when the weather got warmer, and it was blowing HOT air. I had seen some amazing reviews for Airco in Bakersfield, and decided to take the chance and reach out. When I called, Haylie answered the phone and she was SO helpful! Instantly tried to get me in at my earliest convenience, literally the next day. For me, with my schedule, I needed a couple days out. But, when the appointment DID get scheduled; Pete showed up at my home promptly, looked at my unit and told me exactly what the problem was. He did not come down and tell me 10 things that were potentially wrong, he told me exactly what was wrong and how they were going to fix it. This was on a Friday, and they could come back out on Monday. Pete gave me an exact price and said they would be back out. I got another message from Haylie giving me an a 2 hour time estimate on when Pete would be there on Monday. Pete came on Monday, earlier than expected (when you are given a time frame, you assume they will come out in the later) he fixed exactly what he said he was going to, and also cleaned off the coils on my unit. Turned it back on, and I seriously could not even hear it... Instantly I figured, something else was wrong because I was not hearing it. No. All these years, this one thing needed to be fixed.. And now you do not even hear it anymore. It is absolutely amazing; and I honestly just never knew any better. I am so incredibly thankful for Airco, Haylie, and Pete. I am honestly a loyal customer forever at this point. You cant get any better than this, especially with the honesty. They genuinely care about their customers in Bakersfield, and until them, I have not found that anywhere else.
