Been twice so far and had very pleasant experiences both times. Mario who was behind the customer service desk was extremely helpful and amazing to chat with. He was able to assist me and did everything with a smile. All of the employees from what I could tell are friendly and helpful. The employee at the front directed me to where I needed to go. I also work in a customer facing job and I really appreciate when employees go the extra mile. Shoutout to Mario! I also felt bad for the gentleman near the front. An older lady seemed to be talking nonsense and he stayed there listening to it all. This location is much more convenient than the nearest Apple location and purchased extended care plan. It's so frustrating dealing with this company, but they really do have some of the best prices and products, it's just getting those products to your house. That is such a pain. The last TV we bought from them we got a really great deal, but they canceled out on us three times before we finally got the television, which is frustrating when you have an appointment. Was happy with Dre Beats, and the fire stick I bought here. Decent customer service despite being understaffed. This is quite common industry wide. The folks here were helpful. Also checkout was a cinch. That is a good combination. The parking situation here is challenging. Actually problematic seems correct. You really do get jammed in here, and leaving won't be a "walk in the park." Not sure how they can alleviate this, but do be careful and watch out for pedestrians. This area of the county is busy. The service was great. Last time I was there I bought a TV I also bought for $200 per year where they will install anything you buy for one year. So it has been a little over a year and they billed me the $200 per year which came out automatically. I went to buy a dishwasher today all happy to get install free. OH NO they took that out of the $200 a year deal. I had to pay $179 to get my dishwasher installed and I have a 2 year contract on my dishwasher. I am not happy about it. I came in today for a scheduled iPhone battery replacement appointment. My primary concern with the battery replacement procedure is that I was told I had to disable my passcode. I know that to not be true. iPhones with iOS 10.3 or higher can be placed into diagnostic mode without having your passcode disabled. In response, I erased my phone and provided the device to the technician. He was professional and the repair was done within 2 hours. The cost of the repair for my iPhone was inexpensive as well. During the first hour, I putzed around the store and picked up a few items for purchase. I remember Best Buy from 20+ years ago, when it would be fully stocked and you could browse a wide range of products--read the product boxes, etc. It's not like that so much any more, which will be forever disappointing. Most retail stores have gone the route of GameStop retail experience. Anyhow, as I was walking out with my recent purchases, to keep me busy at home while waiting for the update about my phone repair, the alarm went off--surprising me. I took a step back towards the security person at the front door asking if he needed to check my receipt. He turned the device in his hand towards me--showing everything I had just purchased and gestured that I didn't have to, because it was there for him to review. I have ambivalent feelings about my experience today. I questioned if I was being profiled while I was walking around the store. Should the security guard have kept that strange invasion of what was in my bag to himself and waved me on with an "all good"? Probably. I questioned if the geek squad needs updated training guidance and resources to perform repairs on apple devices? Probably. Ultimately, I've decided I simply won't patronize any Best Buy ever, again. I can purchase collector cards from my local game shop. I can go to a record shop to purchase vinyl. I can order electronics of interest online. This is specifically in review of the Best Buy in Springfield and the appliance department. First of all, if you are shopping appliances, Best Buy makes the most sense, with their price math guarantee, delivery and haul away, it's a no brainer. What takes things a step further is the personal assistance of the sales team, specifically the best Sales Associate ever, Noorhan and the Supervisor, Tedla. We asked for Noorhans' help and she suggested we wait until the following weekend when Virginia offered their tax free weekend. Who does that? Who turns down a sale to save $ for the customer?? Even better, Noorhan called me the following week to update me on the prices of the appliances we wanted. We went and visted Best Buy and purchased an entire kitchen package. The superviser Tedla also asssisted us with some more diffiicult delivery needs. This is my last time I ever set foot into a bestbuy. I'm tired of wasting time coming to the store when there's always a issue price matching. Upon walking in. Your greeted by the loss prevention guy and visually greeted by a Fairfax county police officer. Okkkkk. The store looked somewhat stocked. But it was mainly Black Friday stuff like TV's. Their main stuff such as video games leaves something else to be desired. Also the entire game section was totally disorganized. Two other bestbuy workers came over to me very quick and asked if I needed any help and virtually stayed there while I was browsing the section and upon me walking to the register. I could see the employee's eyes like I was carrying the hope diamond. So I'm guessing this store must have a very high crime rate or something which is very discouraging if you're bringing your family here. Upon getting to the counter I wanted to price match GameStop & Target on two video games. It was nothing but drama. The employee actually went out of her way to NOT price match the games even though the prices at gamestop & target were NON-BLACK FRIDAY prices and just their everyday prices. Then she started talking slang. So I just set forget it. Truly a waste of time if you're coming here to price match. You will run into very defensive employees avoiding price-matching. The hubby loves Best Buy, thankfully he doesn't visit as often as he used to because he always leaves with something. But our last visit was purposeful and with a sizeable price tag. We were looking for a larger TV with certain features. We had a couple of models in mind and went to Best Buy because they showed them in stock and at the same prices as other locations. The staff who aided us in the purchase was a minimalist sales associate which was good for us. We asked for delivery. The two guys who brought the TV were nice and did a good job bringing it into the house and down to the family room. I am giving four stars due to this service because I know how hit or miss delivery can be and how important it is. After successful delivery I feel comfortable, perhaps for the first time, saying I would use Best Buy again for a large electric purchase assuming I had a good idea what I wanted before I entered because I am now comfortable with the idea of a Best Buy delivery. read more

After I got in the store I waited another 20 plus minutes to get to the front of the line. Then they couldn't find the item. I watched 5 people stand around and do nothing while the cashier did as much as he could. This was a terrible experience. This is the season to really wow customers and get them back in the store. If I would give ZERO stars I could. The lack of leadership leads this store to complete disfunction. I came in to finish a purchase on a radio for my car. After having a great experience with Louise in car installations, I went inside to finish the purchase of the radio system. As I waited on the floor to see an employee, I noticed that there were none in that area. So I walked to another area and saw some people standing with black jackets and no name tags (turned out later to be employees) but no one that stuck out as an employee. A few minutes go by and someone wanders over to me and says that she will page the employee that does radios. I thank her and wait in the section she told me to. After 15 minutes, no one came to help me. So after that I walked up to the front to try and find a manager. The store was mostly empty of employees or customers, so I thought that would be the best to speak to the manager. The greeter directed me to the manager and before even fully approaching him, he started to puff out his chest. He glared at my service dog (who helps with medical alert for seizures) who laid at m feet. I calmly explained to him that I have been waiting for over a half an hour to finish my purchase, and there has been no one to help me, and it was surprising because there were not many customers in the store. As I did he just kept looking at me, my service dog and then rolling his eyes. He instantly got offended and went onto his walkie-talkie saying that I was being aggressive and that I was saying others were not doing their jobs. He was openly speaking and about me to the entire store over the walkie-talkie. I sat there calmly for him to finish and I tried to re-explain that I was not trying to talk badly, I just needed help with my purchase. He again went into his walkie-talkie and yelling at the employee about how I am being difficult. I knew that this was not going to be a successful encounter at all, and did not want to purchase from here. I walked to the greeter again (who was very helpful) and asked for the corporate number and the managers name, because the manager refused to tell me his name. The greeter apologized on the behalf of his manager, openly surprised by how he had acted, and as he was writing down the number for me the assistant manager approached, Chris. He stepped in between me and the greeter and said "If you want our names, look at the wall, we are not going to give you any number or names. In fact, I want you to leave this establishment right now." The greeter again looked mortified. He handed me the paper with the number on it and I, in tears from confusion and humiliation, left. This was the worst experience in a store I have ever had. I don't understand what happened and it is the most disrespected I have ever been. The leadership is horrible. They all need to be let go. A complaint has been placed with corporate offices, and they said this is not the first they have received about this kind of issue. Came here for the 392983th time to buy Pokémon cards. There was a couple looking through their selection along with me. The couple picked about 8 packs maybe, of 2 different packs and checked out. No questions asked. I picked out 15, I've picked out more in the past with no issues, and they stopped me and said I could only get 1 of each. I'm not sure why the older white supervisor had issues with me and not the several other people that buy Pokémon packs there. Buying 1 pack of each is not the norm. Target has a 5 per item limit, GameStop has no limit. The Best Buy online store you can buy 36 packs at a time. This guy had some issue with me for whatever reason. I asked him and he didn't really give me a straight answer. He said "it's the stores discretion." Okay. There's no sign that says there's a limit. No other stores have a limit. Just to exchange it and arrange for installation was impossible on the phone. I spent over two hours (!) getting transferred to different agents, each with a different story of how much I owed. Some said delivery was free if I paid for installation (which I planned to do), others said there was a $99 fee for delivery in addition to installation. We ordered 2 appliances to be delivered/installed at the beginning of December, had to wait until mid-January to have them delivered and installed. The day of our appt., they installed our oven, but refused to install the new washer/dryer because our old one had oil under it. We said that we'd sign something to say that they weren't responsible for getting oil on our floor, but they said we needed to hire someone else to take our old one away and reschedule. We hired folks to Dispose of our old one the next day, called to reschedule the delivery/install for the next week. When they came back, and started to unload our new one they saw that it was damaged, so they took it back and we had to reschedule a 3rd time. The customer service agent on the phone that day, assured me that they had our make/model in stock,, so they would be back with another one on the weekend. That Friday I called to ask when I could expect it...apparently there WEREN'T any in stock, and we were going to have to wait ANOTHER month. Over the course of these awful 3 months with no washer/dryer in a house with 4 ppl, I had spoken to dozens of Best Buy employees, all of whom made promises that they did not keep or make note of. By the end, they gave us a $100 gift card for "our trouble" (even though we had spent $3000 in appliances that we constantly had to beg them to actually deliver) we went to this location (where we had ordered the appliances) to use the giftcard on video games for the kids. Their stock is laughable. They wouldn't let us buy Xbox giftcards (so we could purchase digital games since they had barely anything in store) with the best buy giftcard. Icing on the cake!
