I Stood in this area for about 5 or more minutes while the associate who was working in the Windows area completely ignored me. I worked in customer service for years (including Best Buy mobile for 2), and the polite thing to do would be at least great me like "hi, I'll be with you in a moment". I was able to flag down Mark and he was kind enough to assist me and help me order an item that was out of stock as well as help me find the best value tv mount. Really thankful for the geek squad and team members here specifically Deron. My router died and was within my total tech warranty and he returned it, gave me a store credit, and provided another router solution that was more cost effective. It was fast, calm and easy customer service and I really appreciate him taking care of my issue! Highly recommend total tech but also have been taken care of by the geek squad a few times now. I called the manager Gerardo and he was rude enough not to listen! They told me you can not buy gift cards with store credit cards I keep telling them that I buy any of the merchandise in the store with my card and the gift card is also a merchandise, but the general manager was very rude and was telling me that their gift cards they are selling is not a merchandise! My entire reason for sharing this debacle is to let everyone know that I do not recommend you buy anything at Best Buy ever, especially, if it includes a warranty or servicing or installment appointments. I bought a cooktop from Best Buy on Feb 21st. I have literally had 4 installment dates set that that were a No Show/No Follow-up from them. For each I was given a 7AM -7PM delivery window. They are supposed to contact you the day before with a smaller window, but they did not. Yesterday the 5th installment date, I was given a window of 1-5, they showed up at 5 an installed the cooktop, left my house at 7:30 PM. When they left, I discovered that the light indicating the burners being on was still on and never went off, even though all the burners were cut off. I looked this up and it means there's either a wiring issue or that one of the burners is faulty. Tomorrow, I have a 6th appointment set with a window from 7 AM to 7 PM which again they say they will call to narrow? We'll see. For them to come and hopefully fix the issue. If not I suppose we will be scheduling the 7th appointment. Trust me if I were not in the middle of this, I would let them go in a heartbeat. I've spoken to an executive customer service rep and I'm told that they can't reroute anything to come to my house for a morning install because they just don't work that way, in spite of all the issues there have been on my puchase. I've never experienced such poor service. Who has 12 hours to sit and wait on an installation, much less 5/12 hour days to sit and wait? It's paid for and I need it! Buyer Beware!! read more

I knew I was going to buy a laptop the day I walked in Best Buy. However, I wasn't quite sure what I was looking for but I knew I would know once I found what I was looking for. (Trust me, it made sense in my head) Lol As soon as I approached the laptop area I was greeted by a nice gentleman named Fabian. He walked me through the details of each laptop/tablet I found appealing and gave honest feedback on his recommendations based on my needs. He even suggested an Microsoft Office plan for my business needs. I left to try another store to see what options they had. Not only did they not have better options but the customer service I experienced with Fabian was unmatched. I quickly returned to Best Buy and purchased a Microsoft - Surface Laptop 4 - 13.5" Touch-Screen - Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - 512GB Solid State Drive (Latest Model) - Sandstone (had to Google it) I love it so far and am beyond grateful for my experience at Best Buy. I'll be back for my next technical gadget. Another sales rep checked me out when I returned. He mentioned something about not issuing bags for laptops and that it would cost ten cents. I didn't really like that seeing that I was a female shopping alone. I was in search for 2 little Bluetooth speakers and I wanted to buy them from a store. On 9/2/2020, I went on the web and after looking at different stores I decided on Best Buy. I found the speakers I wanted and the website said there were 4 at my location, it also stated I should ACT FAST. I read a majority of the good and bad reviews. I read all the question and answers. I knew what I was getting. The store is offering online shopping, delivery, curbside pickup and store pick up. Face coverings are required and a store capacity of 89. At risk hours: 10-11am on Wednesday's. I enter the store at 10:13am, I pass 2 best buy employees in between the in and out doors at a stand getting ready to put masks on. I pass another employee standing on the inside, the one who checks stuff. I go here at least every three months but I know what I'm getting and where it is. Today I did not, I move up to not block anyone's way and pull up the speaker picture from the website. There are employees in front of me, to the left and to the right. They see me, not one asks if I need assistance. I find my way to the speakers and there is only 1. I stop someone coming through and ask him about the speakers, he looks on his screen and tells me, they must be on the truck, come back after 2pm. I am also looking for other things, so I stop to ask someone where it is. She looks in the direction, points to it, and says over there in the Apple section. Really?! Over there where? I go to pay for my things, after I could not find what I was looking for in the apple section and the only bright star to my trip was Jerry at the register. He was friendly, greeted me, ask if I wanted to purchase protection plan, looked at my speaker(s) and explained pairing (I went ahead and bought another speaker, different brand). I was disappointed in Best Buy, I passed a total of 14 employees, there were more of them than customers. Most of the employees were stocking the shelves but their still bare and I'm wondering if pricing is a secret because most of the items I looked at had no visible pricing stickers. Today 9/3/2020: I returned to Best Buy, to get the speaker, that now says to ACT FAST because only 3 are available. WOW!!!!! BIG CHANGE, I entered the store at 10:02am, they have put up some crowd control stanchions in the store. There is a guy there who greets you and asks if you're looking for something, where he stands is a table with face masks and sanitizer, I don't know if it is for him or customers. My Dad bought the computer and he also decided to buy the Microsoft Home Word, Excel program for his computer for $129.99. We got home to find the Microsoft program not in our bag. I have called back several times to inquire about the rest of my refund. At least twice I was told the remaining refund was processed and it absolutely was not. BestBuy delivery, installation, and customer service are awful. The saga continues! I first purchased kitchen appliances (refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher) in January 2023 for delivery and installation in February. The delivery guys showed up with all items on a Friday but complained about not having enough help to deliver and install the items in my kitchen. They left all items in my garage and said they will be back that Sunday to do the installation. They were a no-show. The items never got installed and I asked BestBuy to remove the appliances from my garage. I re-purchased these items from the store Memorial Day weekend (May 2023). BestBuy and I worked out the earliest delivery and installation date of all appliances. That date was July 13, 2023. I had a time window of 7 am to 12 pm. I called the delivery/installation service around 10 am after not hearing from them that day. I was told that there will be only partial delivery and installation will be done on another day. I refused the delivery as this was not what we agreed on. I went back to the store where I purchased the items and rescheduled delivery and installation for July 20, 2023, of all items as the 800-customer service representative was not helpful. On Tuesday, July 18th I got a call from customer service that only the refrigerator will be delivered on July 20th, and they need to reschedule the other items (stove, microwave, and dishwasher) as these items are unavailable. John, the supervisor reassured me that he took care of rescheduling these items and they will be delivered on 7/27. Today is 7/20, and BestBuy has not delivered the refrigerator as promised. I have never ever experienced such incompetency before and hopefully never will. I am frustrated with all this back and forth with BestBuy. Their services are horrible! Best Buy Geek Squad is supposedly an "Authorized Apple Dealer", so I made an appointment for Best Buy to replace my iPhone 8 battery. On the day and time of the appointment for a "Replacement Battery for iPhone 8", I drove over to Best Buy at the appointed time. PROBLEM #1 There were three people in line ahead of me, so we were all waiting patiently. . The person being waited on finally left, and a woman came from out of nowhere and plopped herself in front the counter. The three of us in line protested, but the tech at the counter said since she had gotten there first, she would be waited on next! The lady in question said she had a 3:00 appointment and refused to move. I mentioned that I had a 2:40 appointment and had already been waiting 15 minutes. The rep insisted that he was going to wait on the lady in front of him, and NOT the people who had been waiting in line for quite a while! PROBLEM #2 When I got my "turn" in line, I showed him my appointment sheet that said I had a 2:40 appointment for a "Replacement Battery for iPhone 8". He retorted that they didn't have any batteries for an iPhone 8, and turned back to what he was doing. When I asked him why I had a written appointment for the battery, he declared that Best Buy wasn't responsible for people's appointments. I asked for a manager, and, although she was much nicer about it than the tech, she reiterated what he had said: That they weren't required to have things in stock for a particular appointment. Is there no way that they couldn't have bothered to look at their appointments ahead of time, see what the appointment was for and make sure they had the battery on hand??? They could have then contacted me to let me know not to come to the appointment -- and at the same time, they could have offered to let me know when they have the batteries. Your employee advised I purchase a cord that said it was Displayport to HDMI. Rebecca, the geek squad service member, started the conversation with explaining to me that's it's not possible my phone's battery is running down as quickly as it is because she has the same model. When she came back I found they didn't have the battery in stock. I asked her what I should do and she suggested the Apple Store at a mall where my life would be in danger. Made an appointment online to replace an iPhone 7 battery. That's all I needed. I tried to call ahead an hour before to make sure they'd have the part and were able to do it -- nobody answers after being on hold for 10 minutes. We get there, our appointment is on the schedule, and they go through the whole check-in process with the phone. About 10 minutes. After they did all that, then they realize they don't have any iPhone 7 batteries. After all that, it was a complete waste of time. I understand you don't always have parts, but I made an appointment for ONE specific thing; all you had to do was check you had the part before we show up, or call us or something. Nobody picks up the phone. Then they blamed it on Apple for not being able to get parts. I don't care about that - you knew what we needed, you accepted the appointment a week in advance, you didn't pick up the phone, you didn't notify us that it would be a complete waste of time to come to the appointment because you could not do the work. To the Devon, AC, and Zoe. Thank you so very much for all of your help fixing a disaster of an experience. I placed my order online for an Xbox series X for my family for Christmas. The original order was supposed to be picked up from the store at Perimeter however I received a message later that evening stating that the order was not available. I looked online and found that it was available at the Smyrna store. I tried to change the location online but it did not show as an option for me. I called the 888-Best-buy number for assistance twice. The first person told me that it wasn't available at any stores. I called the Smyrna store directly to verify that they had them and stock then called back to have the store pickup location changed again. Again I was told that they could not help me. I got to the store and was promptly greeted by an associate who asked if I needed help. I she checked for the item and it was in fact in stock. I then asked for the store manager or assistant store manager. While waiting another associate Devon asked if I needed assistance. I told him yes, what my issue or concern was and he also called a manager but he didn't stop there. He went above and beyond to get my problem fixed with the help of AC and Zoe. I know it's not much by I had just placed a $1200 order and depending upon what the resolve was going to be for this issue. Best Buy used to be da bomb in the '90s. Back then, it was one of my favorite stores and go-to sources mainly for computer games, video games, blank media, and the occasional accessory. I still regularly went to Best Buy for the first half of the last decade (the 2000s). At one point or another, I've purchased something from many of the Atlanta area Best Buys including Buckhead, Midtown, Perimeter, Kennesaw, and Gwinnett. The Cumberland location, however, is the one I've visited most due to it's proximity to where I work and the lower Cobb County sales tax rate. Some major purchases I've made at this Best Buy include my Whirlpool refrigerator, washer, and dryer. I also purchased my TV stand from this location by buying online and picking up in-store. I'll get back to the buying-online-and-picking-up-in-store experience in a moment. I stopped by here during my lunch break yesterday to use one of my RewardZone certificates that was set to expire soon. I ended up purchasing the Uncharted (1 + 2) and DualShock 3 controller bundle for PS3 for $59.99. It was actually a very good deal because if I had purchased each of those three items separately, it would have cost about $115. RewardZone is a free program so take advantage of it. I ordered a DVD online and received a confirmation from the store that my order was ready for pickup. I went to the store pickup counter and they did not have my order. In fact, they did not even have the DVD I ordered in-stock. The employees spent a lot of time searching for the DVD the computer said the store had in-stock. I ended up leaving the store empty-handed, having completely wasted my time. In the past, Best Buy used to have some of the most competitive prices, but with online retailers becoming more and more prominent, that is definitely not the case anymore. Case-in-point, NBA 2K12 is only $39.96 (no tax, free shipping) on Amazon while it's $59.99 plus tax at Best Buy. Wow. I'm not sure if Best Buy price matches some items, but I did try to get them to price match Amazon on a TV. Best Buy had the TV for about $2,300 plus tax while Amazon's price was under $1,700 (no tax). When I told the sales associate Amazon's price, he lowered Best Buy's price by several hundred, but still did not come close to matching. Needless to say, I ordered the TV from Amazon who shipped and installed the TV for free. Nowadays, I order most of my games, electronics, and accessories online. However, Best Buy can still be reliable for the quick purchase. They need to improve their pricing and keep up with the times, though. read more

I just sent my laptop for repairs and I have a 2 year warranty and total tech membership with this Best Buy. I bought my laptop from this Best Buy and it's been less than a year since I got it. After visiting the store I left my laptop at total tech for repairs and was told it would take 2-3 weeks, I am a student so I need my laptop for school. Its been past that time and when I called the store for a possible date for when it would show up they said that I would just have to wait more. I was also charged a $99 service fee at the counter and then was later told by 2 Best Buy employees that I shouldn't have had to pay that because I have total tech and a 2 year warranty on the computer. Please be advised, I returned that soundbar because its sound quality wasn't adequate. I spoke with Jessie and he provided an excellent replacement choice, the Sonos Playbar, which I purchased online on May 07, 2020, with his assistance. Due to CONVID-19, I picked the product up curbside on May 11, 2020, at Best Buy in Smyrna, Georgia. It's an excellent product, but it's not compatible with my 2019 model Samsung TV. I spoke again with Jessie, and he informed me that Sonos was coming out with a different soundbar soon, the Sonos Arc, which would fix the compatibility issue. Once the new soundbar becomes available, he would exchange it, although it would be after the exchange timeframe. I had difficulty ordering this item due to its popularity and backorder status. With that said, it has become available; however, its delivery date is significantly delayed. On September 18, 2020, I met with Jessie at Best Buy on Cobb Parkway, Smyrna, Georgia to return the Sonos Playbar and replace it with the Sonos Arc as promised. In addition, I anticipated the purchase of the Sonos subwoofer, also recommended by Jessie. I'm happy with his recommendations; however, I'm not pleased with the promise that he was not able to keep due to internal changes beyond his control. I'm writing to you for intervention and favor outcome regarding this concern. I need your assistance with exchanging my Sonos Playbar for the Sonos Arc soundbar. The sooner Best Buy goes out of business the better. My wife and I have waited for three weeks to have a refrigerator delivered. The first refrigerator arrived so badly damaged that the door would not shut. The second refrigerator was not properly marked for install and haul away, so even when Best Buy told the driver to roll the refrigerator in 50 feet and leave it and they would send out another group to install and haul away, he refused, strapped it in the truck unwrapped and drove away. The other delivery driver THREATENED MY WIFE! It then took us three days to just find the refrigerator. Today, after rescheduling meetings and waiting for the third delivery attempt, the same idiot driver who we asked BEST BUY to not deliver, was scheduled for delivery and refused to come to our house. My wife insisted that I be at home because she was THREATENED!!! I don't know how they stay in business; the phone support we have to call is useless. We have to call over and over. Between my wife and I we have spent 12 hours going to the store and on the phone to have one refrigerator delivered. We have spent 10's OF THOUSANDS at Best Buy. Not one more dime will I ever spend there and I encourage others to do the same. Give them the same fate as Circuit City. read more
