Came in today to pick up my reserved order and figured I'd ask if there were any Pokémon products left while I was there. I asked one of the employees, and they told me there was nothing left without even checking. Not even a few minutes later, another customer asked a different employee the same question. This time, the employee actually went to look and came back with one item. I was still standing there like... seriously? I even told the other customer she could have it, so it's not about me trying to take it. It's just frustrating when you're told something isn't available and then see that it actually is, just because someone else got help from a different employee who actually checked. I get that things sell out fast, especially Pokémon stuff, but at least take the time to look before saying there's nothing. It just feels inconsistent and unfair. Had great experience with Derrick in the Geek Squad. Not happy thay we can't get help with tech things anymore

This particular store has had abysmal service for years: 1) I used to be greeted whenever I walked in, but not anymore. 2) They have fewer clerks available, so the wait time to get assistance has gone up significantly. 3) I ordered an item on line. They boasted ON LINE that they would have it ready within an hour. 2 1/2 hours later, I hadn't received any email or text update. I called before the store closed to find out why they hadn't prepared my order or contacted me, but I was on hold until after the store closed and my call went to their off-site customer service center. I canceled my order and got an email response before I even hung up the phone. Are they more interested in using refunds than actually selling anything? I will not be shopping there anymore. I don't like shopping at Walmart, but the same item was $32 less at Walmart AND they had it in stock AND they were willing to sell it to me. I don't work in retail anymore, but it seems that Best Buy is trying to turn away customers. read more

I've had to worst experience with Best Buy, I bought all new kitchen appliances a month ago and it has been a nightmare since. When my fridge came the guy broke my shut off valve to Connect my water line. Had to send my fridge back as I then had to call a plumber and sit without water for 2 days. Yesterday my fridge came back along with my stove. I refused my stove as it was bent and dented and looked like it was ready to cave in. They then cancelled my microwave and dishwasher to come today and no one could tell me why. Now they scheduled both to come next week and expect me to take another day off work to sit here all day because they don't give you a decent timeframe that they are coming. I've called customer service numerous times and they are no help. I will never buy from Best Buy again. read more

Paid extra for more storage then I was told to get external drive not one but two. Then told I have to buy extra storage, they installed bigger internal drive. I asked to have the type size enlarged. Didn't work, I called to set up an appointment, no answer. called again and left a message. no response. I got an email saying I need to renew my repair service. They renewed it automatically for a higher price. No response to fix that. Going back to when they loaded Windows 10 they transferred all of my photos their NEW Photo program that automatically sorts my photos. They filed trees under vegetables. I spent years taking those photos. Somehow I had to send everything to a State in Southern America. My cost. I spent hours on the phone with that place. More hours on the phone with a rep I couldn't understand. More hours with another rep. Now I still have a noise they couldn't hear I lost hundreds of photos $$ I have no joy working on the computer any more read more

I tried to return a $60 coffee maker to the Kohler/Sheboygan store. Apparently, I've never returned anything to Best Buy because I didn't realize there was 14 return policy (I purchased on August 10th and attempted to return it August 28th). Anyway, that's my fault for not knowing. However, what upset me more than the 14 day policy was the employee who "helped" me. Before telling me I couldn't return it, he asked if I had retaped the box. I told him that no, we hadn't opened it. My husband wanted something that could make other types of coffee, so we didn't need this one. He then said that the box had clearly been opened and retaped. I told him again that he was receiving it as I purchased it. He continued to show me where it looked like a piece of tape was cut and another put over the top. I didn't appreciate being called a liar, and either way, they weren't going to take it back! Training employees about how to speak to customers would be beneficial for business. read more

Went into store 3 times past month ALWAYS groups of workers chatting and totally ignoring customers. They will gladly help you if you go up and ask for help. I'm looking around for 10-15 min standing in same area --you think someone would catch on. Very few customers in store so its not that they are so busy--just very lazy. This store was opened in 2007 and is already starting to show its age and the state of Best Buy in general. What was originally a "Magnolia-lite" showcase area (higher-end A/V items) is now a dilapidated open-box and clearance corner. Having to pass this to get to the new televisions on display certainly does not inspire confidence. After doing much research both online and in person at several stores I decided on the model television I wanted. Bestbuy.com showed that the item was available for purchase so I went to the store expecting to buy one. I chose Best Buy because of their offer of free shipping and haul-away and I wanted to schedule this in person rather than rely on the website. The model was on display and an associate approached, asking if he could help. I told him I wanted to purchase the model and he went off to the stockroom. Returning after about 5 minutes he apologized that they did not have the item in stock, but he could see if it was available from another store. He also asked when I expected to get the TV. This transaction was on a Friday evening and I told him I hoped to get it before the following weekend (Super Bowl Sunday). He didn't say another word. I went with him to their sales terminal and after another 5 minutes he apologized that the item was only in-stock at a store in another state and that it "would be a hassle" to get it from them. He explained they may not be willing to give up one of the three that they had in stock to another store in case a customer there wanted one. I didn't realize each individual store was fighting for dominance over the other, I thought they were one company. When a customer is standing in front of you "cash-in-hand" I would think you would do everything possible to make the sale. In any case, inside baseball is not really what you want to discuss in front of the customers. Instead the associate went to speak with the manager and came back after another 5 minutes asking if I would be interested in the next size up, which was in stock. I don't know if any discounts would have been offered, or they just expected I would fork over another $150 and change so they could make the sale. This was a non-starter anyway, as the size I was looking at was the largest that would fit the space I intended to install it in. The associate then asked me to write my name and number on a piece of paper. Apparently there's no mechanism in the computer to purchase the TV and wait for delivery from another location. He explained that he would attempt to get the store in another state to give up one of their 3 TVs of this model in stock. He would call when the truck arrived on Tuesday to let me know either way whether they were able to get the television. After all this, he explained that they were already booked solid for deliveries. Even if the TV showed up on Tuesday, I wouldn't be able to get it delivered until after the Super Bowl. Already knowing that I wanted the TV before the game, I suppose he was hoping that all the hassle I just went through would make me purchase anyway. I asked if the free recycling was valid even if I picked up the TV myself in time for the Super Bowl and dropped off the old one. He said yes, recycling was free whether or not they delivered it. I thanked him and left, mostly expecting that my name and number were promptly placed in the circular file. Writing this a week later on the following Friday, my suspicions are solidly confirmed, having heard not a word from this particular associate, nor anyone else at Best Buy. I have since taken my business to Amazon.com, who offer the same model with free shipping and with a discount for Prime members I was unaware of previously. I'm getting the TV delivered for free at a lower price than Best Buy offered. Unfortunately it won't be here in time for the game, but Best Buy was the only local original option who I had any hope of being able to meet that expectation in the first place. Turns out Best Buy is mandated by state law to recycle televisions whether or not you make a purchase there, with only the minor inconvenience being having to get it there yourself. So they lost my business, but I'll be dropping off my old TV for them to recycle at their expense along with the loss of a sale. From now on Best Buy will serve as an Amazon.com or other .com showroom for me, if I set foot in there again. Four stars for being a electronic toy store with lots of cool stuff and helpful employees if you can find one. Two stars for the Geek Squad. When you buy a computer (my wife bought an HP here) they will really push the Geek Squad service on you. My wife was having trouble with endless pop-ups on her computer. Since we had to drive to Sheboygan for other business we took her machine to drop off so the Squad could check it out. We were told you need an appointment, no drop offs allowed. We drove back to the Sheboygan store on the date of our appointment. We were told that the guy who was going to work on the computer wasn't in the store that day. A snippy woman then asked "do you want to make another appointment?" No, we wanted the store to honor our original appointment. Then my wife was told that it's all her fault for waiting until the last moment. What were they talking about? Back home my wife contacted HP support on line; and the problems were fixed in fifteen minutes. In our experience customer service is awful. Signing up for the Geek Squad service is useless as it seems like they will go through great lengths to avoid helping you out. The chances that your new computer will need service in its first two years are nil. Don't waste your money. read more

Run to your nearest Best Buy that isn't this one. I kid you not buying a laptop and getting it set for set up service was worst than buying a new car. Jared at the Geek Squad was very awkwardly inadequate for a service job. They had to go behind the "black curtain" with every question I asked. The service worker who sold me the laptop lied right in front of me 5 minutes after he sold the laptop, claiming he had told me he "never heard of such a service." He also tried to explain how three days really is four days for service and how confusing it is. Ha! I am a longtime loyal Best Buyer shopper that is very disappointed with this store. Based upon the empty parking lot on a Friday night, I suspect others are as well. I predict store closing... they obviously can't find the talent they need to run a retail / service establishment. read more

Went to this best buy the one and only in my town and i was told by the customer service and manager that they don't match BEST BUY ad when they ARE BEST BUY. HAHAHA!!! So i went to Wal-Mart right next door which is INCREDIBLY UNBELIEVABLE they price match BEST BUY ad for me. I guess my money wasn't good enough for Best Buy. Holy Crap this is the worst Best Buy I had been to with the worst customer service and managers. I was told customers was always right and Best Buy didn't stand by their own ad. With this rating, this Best Buy doesn't deserve a 1 star rating but a ZERO rating. Since Best Buy didn't want my money I will never go this Best Buy ever again telling me "We do not price match our own ad." That just sound ridicously funny...LMFAO!!! My husband is getting charged every month for a protection plan on a phone that he hasn't had in years. He has spent hours trying to work through this with Best Buy, but for the life of them they cannot figure out why our account is being debited. I've been on the phone with Best Buy trying to speak to a Manager for 30 minutes. Great customer service!! Their solution was that we should dispute the charges with our bank.... seems like a terrible solution since we would have to do that every single month since they are so disorganized they cannot find out why we are being charged. read more

I spoke with Alex with the Geek Squad, he is the worst!!!!! Unprofessional, very, very poor at Customer Services!! I don't think any of the employees know what customer service is!! Very unhappy with there Service. Over these past 2 months I bought a laptop, software, & the Geek Squad (Supposed CUSTOMER SERVICE for internet technology). Alex even hung up on me because I was to angry with him...isn't the Customer suppose to be always right? I paid them over $750.00 dollars to fix my tower/desktop, my NEW laptop that I bought from them ($599.00 on sale-a good purchase.) & my external hard drive. They will not compensate or help me out with anything, I was on the phone with them (3 different Geek Squad people) most of the afternoon & part of the evening. WHAT A RIP-OFF, MINUS 3 STARS!!!!!! ***O.K. 1hr. & 45 min. later...been trying to find someone to provide "customer service" for me. Finally a guy from Kentucky told me I had to call CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS in Minneapolis, MN to get any kind of compensation for this LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. Spoke with a gentleman who is looking into the problems I had & the one employee in Kohler who hung up on me! He assured me he would get it resolved & sounded like he would provide compensation too, 2 copies of Microsoft Internet Explorer, 1 for laptop, 1 for desktop. Now I don't feel like I was Ripped-Off. He also could see of course that I was online with Best Buy-Geek Squad from 12:10pm to 9:00pm. He told me I spoke with 5 different Geek Squad people! And he could see all the conversations as well. Worst customer service of any tech store I have visited. I wish they would just close it down Terrible service. Management is a joke and the only highlight is leaving. I have given up on the idea of helpful staff here. No one is willing to help; the front door staff is lazy and incredibly rude. If they are supposed to do their job and make such a hassle to check out can't the rest of the dozen staff there do their job and get off their ass to help a customer? No... Apparently not. The service at this location is abominable. We are in the middle of nowhere with zero options. I purchased the "service" package, simple repairs take 5-6 DAYS? Really? You guys need to get it together, hire more people that know what they are doing. My laptop is back in in January after a late fall tune up.
