I left Miniso and saw this Best Buy across the street, through all the construction. I decided to check it out. This store has two floors. The first floor is basically your checkout area, cell phones, portable speakers, and more. The merchandise displays looked slick and enticing. I took the escalator up to the second floor. You have televisions, computers, laptops, and much more up there. I liked looking at the phones and trying them out. It was great. If I had purchased a big-screen television on the second floor, I am hoping that there's a freight elevator somewhere. No one wants to see me haul it down the escalator and pay for it on the first floor! Just a logistical thought. I had fun browsing products and getting a feel for what this store had to offer. Literally the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I was looking for something very specific and and asked the customer service person standing at the door greeting people. However the signage was very confusing and people who were at the cashier and customer service were getting mixed up - all this during COVID. I bought a tablet here recently. If it wasn't for the low price I would've walked out. Service was inadequate. It was hard to find a salesclerk. I noticed all the salesperson are male. And rude to women. The clerk they finally sent kept saying Hi because I wouldn't say Hi. So what? Then when I wouldn't say Hi he started to put the tablet back. It was like if I don't say Hi no tablet for me. I found another clerk to get me the tablet. I complained about the rude clerk and they kept smiling. It was very annoying. Absolutely the worst service and incompetent employees for this retail chain. Found an Apple watch online from a reputable supplier and went in to price match and save 10% of difference. First SA said they don't price match Apple products...I asked where on their website does it say that. She went to CSdesk and the SA there said price match is possible. This made me laugh. Eventually she located the item and then implied it wasn't possible to price match as the pricing from their competitor was a promotion. I explained to her and even the sales manager ISMAIL M. that it's not a contract nor a promotion. The price indicated says "no term". I gave them an example, if I were to buy any phone full price "no term" do I need to sign up with a carrier? No, which they agreed and still went on how it wasn't possible to price match even though I had multiple sources where other BeatBuys have done it. In the end, I ordered the item online with the price match in which the CSR via phone assisted with. I learned today and via forums, price matching can be accomplished either via BestBuy CSR phone or chat. Don't get me wrong, you'll have these same issues at any Big Box department store you shop at, some chains and locations being worse than others. This one seems to take the cake. You're better off going to the one in LaSalle. Bought a Smart Watch 3 days ago on 03/31. Yesterday I find the band is defective (the physical watch itself was in perfect condition) I went to the store and they were rude, unhelpful and refused a refund despite being in my legal right to ask for one . I told them that at the price I paid I didn't trust the build quality and would prefer a refund in order to wait until my phone contract ends and I'll go back to Apple and get an Apple Watch. After the service I received here I will certinally you will not be getting my next phone here. When I told them that I have returned items to Amazon in the past the store manager told me that next time I should shop at Amazon (which I gladly will do from now on). I went to this Best Buy in order to use a rewards certificate which would expire. Since I work downtown, it is the most convenient Best Buy that I could get to before the certificate expired. Normally the Best Buy that I will go to is in Fairview Pointe-Claire or the one located near Marche Centrale but due to the impending rewards certificate expiration date, this Best Buy was the most convenient one. This Best Buy used to be a Future Shop before Best Buy which purchased all the Future Shops decided to put an end to the Future Shop stores. It is 2 floors and I checked out both floors when I wanted to use my rewards certificate to buy something. I opted to buy an SD memory card (for my digital SLR camera) that I saw was on sale in Best Buy's flyer but this Best Buy didn't have it in stock so I decided to purchase a microSD card instead and either use it in one of my Android phones that supported external storage or to use in my D-SLR with the proper adapter. This Best Buy store didn't seem to be as well stocked as the Best Buy stores that I normally frequent (the one at Fairview Pointe-Claire & the one at Marche Centrale). Service here was okay (nothing exceptional yet also nothing detrimental). There wasn't any push to try to make me buy something else but then again I wasn't purchasing something that "required" me to purchase something else. Generally based on my experience in other Best Buy locations on the island of Montreal, they rarely will "push" things and "pushing things" (and not willing to accept no as an answer) was more what they did at their now defunct FutureShop stores I'm giving it 3 stars. read more

My phone happened to be running out of battery really fast and of course I didn't have a charger near me so I decided to buy a portable charger. There were a lot of options and I didn't know what to buy because I wasn't sure if I should get a booster for the phone or an actual charger. Eventually I found somebody and he was able to recommend me a charger most people tend to buy. I ended up settling with a specific charger (just wished they had a mini cable for the iPhone). The problem is there's no staff around that area and if I look for one in a different place he'll just say that's not his specialty.
