Went here on Friday June 2nd 2023 to pick up my online order of the oneplus nord. It was actually ready on Thursday, but i decided to pick it up before work on friday to save gas. Easy pick up as i just went to the customer service area where I purchased the prior purchase on Tuesday. Easy pick up, just gave my name and showed them my id,and the order email. I also returned one sd card, and will keep the other one. That was also easy. didn't even need to take out my credit card to complete the purchase! I also decided to recycle my old phones, as i had 2, one was my orginal LG Aristo 5, and the other one which broke, but they said i would have to go to middletown to fix. Not going to middletown at the moment, if all the tech knows is iphones, they should learn other phones too, but that's just my feedback. Anyways, so i recycled my old phones, did forget and had to go in the store 2 separate times to get my phone case. i asked for the phone case so that i don't have to spend money on a new one for now. but i was given my old LG phone case, and not the one i wanted, and had to go back and get the oneplus case, which i got the second time. Overall besides that little oopsies, great service! Also weird, but maybe online shows things that are also online, but i saw screen covers for the one plus nord online after purchasing my phone, but when i got to the store, they said that they don't sell those at this location. So I just got profiled in Best Buy by a guy with braids who claimed to be the store manager. While waited in what was hard to tel was a line or not, another cashier posted closer to the door signaled for me to come to him so I could be rang up. While walking over I heard foot steps running behind me and as I approached the register with a very aggressive toned said "can I help you with that" by this time I'm already standing in front of a cashier who is obviously helping me. Definitely not a comfortable feeling. I own a GO Pro and Simply needed an accessory that attaches to it. DEFINITELY PROFILED AND HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! read more

I came to Best Buy to purchase a remote starter for my car. I was surprised to know they install and next appointment was within a week. On the day of my appointment Chris was very professional and was able to install remote starter. He didn't leave a mess in the car and starter worked work. I ended up putting in a second remote starter on my other vehicle and once again Chris installed it and it works great. Chris was very friendly. I came here looking to buy a new computer. After wandering around the store, someone wearing a white shirt (I'm assuming a manager) asked if I needed help finding something. He pointed me in the right direction, but gave me space to go shop by myself. Kudos for that. After 5 or 10 minutes looking at computers, I had a few questions. I began looking around for an employee to help me but couldn't find one. There was one employee with another customer several isles away, but nobody else around. I continued waiting and was ready to walk out when the same employee finally walked by and asked if I needed help. He was unfamiliar with any of the products he was selling and had to keep researching my questions on his cell phone. Very unprofessional. He seemed moody and in a hurry to get rid of me. While I was finalizing my purchase at the Geek Squad counter, an irate customer was yelling at another employee because she had purchased a service contract for her computer, but they estimated it'd be 2 weeks before she'd get her diagnostic results. Geek Squad said they send all computers to Kansas to be repaired and she'd be without her computer the whole time. After hearing that, I declined to purchase a service contract with them. It would've been nice if they offered to help carry my computer out to my vehicle. I would've done it myself anyway, but for the sake of professionalism, they still should've offered. This isn't a bad store, but I've experienced much better. read more

I contacted geek squad about my 70" TV 3 months ago and I have called them every week to be given the run-around. Please, Whatever you do, go to PC Richards. I bought a new laptop and external hard drive here last week. Anthony was the team member that assisted me with this purchase. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I gave him the basic parameters of what I was looking for, and he showed me several choices and thoroughly explained the differences of each machine. Ultimately I went with an HP laptop which is a significant upgrade over my old one. A week in and its by far the best computer I have owned. This is the third laptop I have bought at this store, as well as several phones, a few TV's and a camera for my wife over the last 13 years or so. I always find the staff knowledge and helpful which is what keeps me going back. read more

I came here to buy a new laptop for school and needed help choosing one. Nobody asked if I needed help and there were so many employees on shift but they were too "busy" talking and hanging out. After walking up and down the aisle for 20min I eventually had to interrupt a group conversation to ask for assistance. I got left with someone in the section who didnt even know what laptops they had in the store. When I asked questions about speed, performance and recommendations he read off the price card and it felt like he was making things up. I did not feel comfortable purchasing anything after that and left. read more

Tries to call us out for lying about how much we have spent here which promoted us to pull up our account to prove it but this particular store won't budge on price when other locations gave us no problems. I don't know what the issue is; maybe this location needs to be given more managerial leeway or better training but this place has to be losing out on obscene amounts of money when between me and our friends have ended up going to another store or online for 50,000+ in sales. If you want a better purchase go to other locayions or shop elsewhere all together. Perhaps this is why retail is failing. And one guy who must've been there a while or mgmt was very standoffish. Like he knew his stuff but there was attitude in the response and made me intentionally seek help from this girl. Always happy with my purchases and service provided by Best Buy. I have shopped there for many of the electrical items i own and this particular store is my favorite. Whatever issues i have encountered as a customer, has always been resolved to my satisfaction. Had them come out and installed a home security system l purchased in store. The boxed camera set did not come with enough wiring so the tech was unable to complete the job. I ordered the additional wiring needed to complete the job but was unable to schedule a completion date for a tech to come out due to some minor service issues with the work order. I went to the store and spoke with John DeMatteis, Geek Squad Manager he was very apologetic for the delay and fixed the issue immediately. Following up a few days later he called and emailed me personally about setting up a completion date for the security system. Excellent service as always, l will continue to shop here. read more

Over the years I've purchased many CE products at Best Buy and at this location. Today I returned my HP Printer I bought there 3 months ago with some problems. My hope was they could take it in and have it fixed under warranty. I was told by someone in the Geek Squad that they can't do anything for me and I should contact HP to resolve the problem. When I questioned him he immediately said he couldn't talk to me since I used a curse word. They have lost my business forever. Why buy anything at the store when you can get the same level of service and a better price at Amazon or other on line retailers. This person proved to me in real time not to buy at the store because they don't offer any value to the products. This is a prime example why retail stores are dying a slow death. I would like to preface this with the fact that Best Buy has always been our retailer of choice when it comes to electronics, cell phones, office equipment and appliances. Yesterday we spent over 5 hours at the Monroe, NY location working with the sales team on a purchase of almost $10,000. We have always been loyal customers and have Elite status which reflects how much business we give this company. We have always had the pleasure of working with fantastic store managers with the exception of John M the assistant store manager we worked with yesterday. He was very difficult to work with, did not honor price matching and after being told they would accommodate our need for a quick installation date was now being told he would not. We are now at a crossroad to decide if we should return the entire purchase and give our business to another retailer. We were extremely disappointed with the level of customer service we recd and highly surprised that someone like this individual is a representation of the Best Buy Corporation. read more

total tech is the biggest POS service I have ever come across. i purchased a NEST thermostat and had it installed back in June...you'd think they tested the heat in addition to the central air (2 selerate systems in my house...when it came time to use the heat, the thermostat was wired as a forced air unit and the boiler did not kick on and produce heat. they tried charging me doe the repair, even though it was correctly hooked up to begin with..then made me wait almost a month for the apt, then the day of canceled and pushed it back out another 2 weeks..after I explained to them I have a 2 year old, and 3 month old living in the house and how important it was that we needed the heat asap. they didn't give a shit, and then only wanted to refund me $2" when I asked for my membership money back...I then wired it myself becauee I couldn't wait any longer and have a cold house with 2 little children. the worst bunch of POS installers and device I ever came across. keep that in mind when having anything installed by them. read more

Whenever I need anything electronic, I always stop in and give them as much business as I can. The store is always clean and organized, and nice and cool in the summer. Even the security person smiles as you leave which is the final impression of Best Buy. I hope this store is profitable and more people support our local businesses.
