    I stopped here on a Sunday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised at the amazing customer service I received. When you walk in, there is a table located at the front. The awesome employee at the table greeted me and asked how she could help. I wish I caught her name because she made it a 5-star visit. I informed her of the product I was interested in, she went to the back to get it, confirmed with me that it was the product I was interested in, and walked me to the check-out. They seemed to be short staffed since there were no other employees at the check out. I arrived at the right time to receive immediate assistance, however, a line quickly accumulated behind me. Overall I had a great experience here and would shop here again! Side note: I think this is more of a Microsoft thing than Best Buy, but they should stock more sole consoles rather than the combo kits (console and game).

    Broken TV

    We ordered a 65" TV for our bedroom and on the day that it was supposed to arrive, they called in the morning and asked if we ordered an open box TV and we said no, we ordered a brand new one, but they still delivered it and said if we didn't like it for whatever reason they will send over a new one and give us compensation. When we took the TV out and set it up, it was broken. There was a very noticeable shatter in the corner and it was literally unusable, it would barely even turn on. Since we expected a new TV on Monday, October 2nd and we received a broken one instead, we were hoping that the replacement could be sent to us faster, but it couldn't, which we understand. However, they wouldn't even give us compensation for the delay of receiving our product and the time it took us to set up everything just to pack it all up again. And even though it was an open box TV, I don't understand why they didn't at least check if the TV worked after it was returned instead of just sending it out. We will not be using Best Buy in the future for any of our needs.

    Five stars for Best Buy? Yep. I can't remember the last time I shopped at, much less visited, a Best Buy. This was *the* store for tech and physical media in the late 90s into the early 2000s. I loved going to the stores in Greensboro and Winston-Salem. However, I don't think I've ordered online or shopped in-store at a Best Buy in several years. Part of me is kind of surprised the brick-and-mortar stores still exist and haven't gone the way of Circuit City. Good for them. I was in a pinch and needed a working keyboard and mouse for my new home office quick. The mouse in the new keyboard and mouse combo that my work had originally supplied me with turned out to be defective. I contacted our IT department and we chose this Best Buy based on its proximity to where I was at the time. They ordered me a Logitech MK320 wireless keyboard and mouse combo ($27.99 after price drop from $34.99) and it was ready for pickup in an hour or two. This was late on a Tuesday morning. My wife and I went out for lunch errands and stopped by this Best Buy to pick up the order. Due to COVID-19, most of the parking lot in front of the store was coned off. The general public was not allowed inside the store. Best Buy was doing curbside pick-up only. Parking spots directly in front of the store were marked and used for curbside pick-up. The store had canopy tents and tables set up outside the front doors for employees and walk-up customers. As soon as I pulled into one of the curbside pick-up spots and rolled down my window, a nice employee approached my car and asked for my name and what item I was picking up. He wore a mask and so did I. He quickly went to the store and returned with my item. That was it. Fast and easy. I didn't have to get out of my car, pull out my ID, show proof of purchase on my phone, or anything. The employee was polite and efficient. I wish I got his name so I could give him credit in this review. He had a ponytail and I think dirty blonde hair. This was my first visit to Best Buy in a long time. It was unexpected and impromptu. The store delivered on all fronts. Flawless victory.

    We have used curb side pickup at this Best Buy multiple times during the pandemic and have had good experiences. Our orders have been ready within hours of online submission, and times from check-in to delivery at curbside have been very short (5-10 mins during a very busy Black Friday morning). The only issue we had was with the curbside check-in system. Most recently, we received the email saying our order was ready for pickup and we drove to the store. We used the link in the email to check into the app, and went through several pages to answer questions (e.g. car description, parking location) but ultimately ended up with an error in the app that wouldn't allow us to completely check in. We refreshed the app and tried several times. Ultimately, we were able to check in by using the mobile site instead of the app. Unfortunately, the store does not provide a phone number to call unlike other stores such as Walmart and Target. We tried calling the store number from Google but were not able to get through at all, likely due to heavy pickup traffic at that particular time. Before COVID, we visited to store multiple times in person. There were always very few customers in the store at a time, which meant no wait times at checkout and quick access to help from store associates.

    Recently I had an issue with a new account I opened before Christmas. Brad ( the manager that helped me) was very customer oriented and helpful both over the phone and in person. He fixed my situation and all was well. Aside from the great customer service that Brad and his employees showed, this store was set up nicely, was clean, and appeared to have a lot of stock.

    Mario was very friendly and super helpful. First came in to buy an XBox. I was apprehensive because I usually use PlayStation. Mario answered all my questions and knew a lot about the product. So I went ahead and bought it. I then came back in because my car wouldn't start in the parking lot, and Mario was very busy, but still wanted to help me find the Car Jump Battery Box for me. He wasn't able to leave the platform but he called on Brandon, his co worker, and Brandon said "So and So needs me really quick" but Mario said "He can wait. This young lady needs help quick please. Bring her to the Car Battery Jump Box located right over there in that case" and pointed where we need d to go. Mario knew they had them because he looked it up on the phone even though he was very busy and couldn't bring me there himself. Brandon kindly walked up to me and dropped what he was doing to bring me to get the box. We both couldn't find it at first and he did not give up looking for it. We finally found it and everything went well. Mario and Brandon get 5 stars from me and two thumbs up! Thanks guys!!

    I would not even give this Best Buy location one star. The lack of respect and decency is clearly in the training plan for the employees who work here. I perused the refrigerator and washer/dryer section for almost 30 minutes before walking toward the door because not a single employee asked me if I needed help. I was the only person in that section of the store when I walked in. Several people (not Black) walked in and received white glove service and attention. Feeling highly uncomfortable and disrespected, I decided to leave. The "Supervisor" Vincent, greeted me as I was leaving. I proceeded to explain the situation and all he could offer me was a useless apology. He showed no interest in helping or correcting the situation. He watched me leave and was probably relieved. I know losing my business means nothing to Best Buy, but they need to do better. I will take my dignity and my business elsewhere.

In my case, I had them help me mount a very large flat screen television set on a wall. I normally do these things myself and I'm very good at it, so my standards and expectations are high. This one was too large and heavy for me to finish the install, so I gave Byron a call and got on their schedule. He and his co-owner came by to complete the install. Ordinary guys would have spent two minutes, hung the television, and overcharged me. Not so with these guys. They spent time talking to me about how far over to hang it, made sure everything was secure, then lifted the television and hooked it on the mount. While continuing to hold it, Byron carefully examined the brackets behind the television with a flashlight and made absolutely certain the latches were engaged and the television was secure. Then they pulled out a microfiber cloth and cleaned off any fingerprints or smudges they might have left. No kidding. I got their name from a friend who is the manager in charge of pulling together the local offices for a software company. Two Techies installed all of their televisions, and she was so impressed she has been using them both for additional work at her office and personally at home. She gave a strong recommendation and now that I've tried them out, I completely agree with that assessment. These guys are amazing, and I'm looking forward to enlisting their help again in the future.

I was looking for people with greater experience than Best Buy. Mark got back to me very quickly and we arranged to have Karl visit us for a consultation. Karl listened to all the details of what I wanted in my setup, offering plenty of feedback on what I might expect and need. (He also took a look at my network closet, but I chose not to do anything with it.) By the end, we had probably spent an hour or more together and I got an excellent plan that we decided to go with. When my TV came in, Karl offered to come over ASAP to do the work. He showed up right on time, bringing Jeff along to do the job. They created an entirely clean setup for me, with wires running through the wall, and were able to install electricity and relocate networking cables to accommodate the mounting location. They walked me through the physical setup and the TV settings I would need to consider. During the review of the TV, *they* found a flaw in the screen and immediately let me know that they would handle getting a replacement and be back as soon as it came in. They just completed that work for me today and we went through the same review. Karl and Jeff were both great guys. (We talked horror movies and the quality of blacks in the new tech.) And something more I appreciated: they wore masks while in the house, removed their shoes when they came in, and left my house clean. I will be calling these guys again when I need something done. I trust what they tell me and they deliver on what they say.

They always made sure we understood what they were going to do and where for any significant matter during the installation process. They also addressed a concern we had about a visible plug. They were thorough and cleaned up throughout. They're also nice guys and easy to talk to. Karl, Jeff and Danny are a great team and went above and beyond. Would definitely recommend them.

I wish all providers were as customer-focused and technically expert as these folks! I was not installing a huge media room; I just wanted to upgrade the audio, video and Wi-Fi equipment I had. I wanted two new TVs, a new receiver, a portable SONOS speaker and a new Wi-Fi (EERO). They listened carefully to my needs (and what I did not want) and installed it all to perfection in one trip. (Unlike the Geek Squad who rarely gets something right the first time.) Most importantly, these guys made sure everything WORKED TOGETHER without glitches. For example, in switching from a Spectrum router to EERO, they made sure I did not have to change one password! I could not be happier. One more thing. Instead of having to plow through a bunch of people to set something up with the Geek Squad...or to have to get somebody to come back to fix a mess...these guys from Audio Video One run the whole show. I stopped in and met Dan and Ed and was very impressed with his knowledge and confidence in accomplishing the task. (I had been warned by my GC not to use several other companies that he had encountered with other projects in the past.) I proceeded with IE as they had a 5 Star rating on Google. We agreed on a price and time for them to come by for the project. The professionalism of this group was apparent. They always showed up on time- and with a very positive attitude, they went about doing their work. The outcome was exactly what I had expected, so I asked them to revamp my internet access throughout the house. As before, they went about their business in a professional manner. Each time, Ed showed up to be certain that the plan was enforced. In addition to this, they were sometimes able to look remotely into my account to help me. If necessary, they arranged a time to be here. There were several iterations of the internet revamp, but the end result was to have the internet service stable throughout my home-which has three distinct floors. The thing about this group is that each and every time I require some help: if my internet is acting up or if my security system is acting finicky, all I have to do is call Intelligent Electronics. The customer service they provide is always available in the same pleasant and professional manner as was present before the sale! How many companies can you say that about?
