Such is the case here. My laptop was examined by the new owner, he saw what went wrong, worked on the solution, kept me updated throughout and now I have a good-as-new functioning laptop. The issues described below have been fixed, and I would not have any hesitation to patronize this firm, especially knowing how well I was treated when a problem arose. The business was recently sold and the new owner took the time to call me to find a way to resolve my issue and turn me into a delighted customer. My laptop is in for an examination and based on my initial conversation I think this is going to have a happy ending. It is never too late to recover if you do the right thing-and have a willing audience. ORIGINAL REVIEW Run-don't walk-.from this place. I took a working, but older PC in for a simple repair. I did my homework beforehand and we discussed and agreed on the likely solution (I told them I was hesitant to put much $$ in it, but they talked me in to leaving it) After a week I heard it needed an additional part. Then no word for a week or so. I stopped in and found out they were ordering a $200 part (one that was working when I dropped it off). I told them to put it back where it was when I left it and I was done. A week later I went to pick it up and thankfully had them check it before I left, and it was dead. Two more weeks went by before I got a call and they said the motherboard was fried. My PC was in here over a month on a simple repair. Worse, they pointed out that any failure that happens while YOUR equipment is in their hands is not their problem. This gives them freedom to experiment with your equipment with virtually no liability. I work with a top flight IT team and ran this by three experienced mechanical IT techs, independently, and got the same answer: the motherboard is on no way connected to the issue I brought my machine in for; they fried it. They charged me $45 to transfer all my data off the hard drive, but I am left with a boat anchor. I will pursue remedy on this.

Earlier this week, I dropped that laptop and damaged the hard drive. I went to Office Depot and found out it would cost quite a bit to fix--it might not even be worth fixing. Just then, my cell phone rang and it was about my terminally ill sister--they believe she only has a few more days. At that point, I started crying and told the employee I had to leave. I'm sure he overheard some of the conversation. The manager came over because I was upset. I told him it wasn't anything to do with the store - the employee was really great--this was a personal problem. He said he didn't care and that I wasn't leaving his store upset. He took my broken computer and gave me a brand new one. It's a better computer. As I write this review, I am in tears because I still cannot believe he did that for me. I can't express how much his gesture touched me. I will be loyal to them forever and I want everyone to know what Office Depot is about.

The clerk Sharon helping me chewed me out even though I showed her the text stating it only says to bring your state ID. Like literally yelling at me in the store with other people around. I brought in a warranty Lenovo Laptop for service and left it at the location for several days and no one called me to pickup the laptop or I was not given any update on the ticket that was created at the front desk! Anyway, I then proceeded to call and I was told that water or a liquid has been sprayed to my LCD screen and I really didn't question this explanation and proceeded to have them order a new replacement LCD screen. I took my laptop back and was told 3 to 5 business days based on the supplier and paid with a credit card in full. Two weeks went by and again no one contacted me with any updates or any understanding after the 2 weeks. I am then told that the supplier cancelled the order without their knowledge so I wait another two days an email follows with we need to have you again come in with your laptop so they can figure out what type of screen they need to order and I am then told that it may require even more money to secure the screen from the manufacturer. I honestly can tell you as a business owner who owns several businesses in multiple states this was some of the worst communication and improper customer service I have ever received. I travel frequently and I was able to have the complete laptop repaired and returned in 2 days so I would not recommend this company to anyone since I have over 30 laptops in my companies, and I will just have to go elsewhere and lastly they did not even offer an apology so I quess the management team has changed since the last time I visited this location.

I know, coz this happened to me a few weeks ago. In search of a Toshiba authorized dealer I found this place (there is another in Denver, but DHE was closer). Lucky for me these techies were able to recover my files/fotos/essentials from my hard drive and install a new one. While I learned the valuable lesson to backup and I was set back a few hundred dollars, I am grateful these guys were able to recover the past 4 yrs of my life that I had stored on this pretty baby I'm typing on right now. They are not only authorized sales/service peeps for Toshiba, but from their adverts they do IBM/Lenova and HP as well.
