The newly remodeled Best Buy is somewhat of a modern take on customer service. Due to reasons in today's retail environment, they have changed their customer service model. The new model is put your phone number in a queue as soon as you get in to the store. I did the mistake of not doing that thinking I'm just going to easily find what I came for but no such thing! A computer monitor needs a bit more help to find so I had to go back and put my name on the list because the monitor I wanted was not easily available as I thought. It had to be brought from the back... Having said all of that, don't make the same mistake I made of trying to ask a random worker for help. I guess their system works if people follow it right? Lol Well the store is very pretty. The layout changed from the older model. The computer area is my favorite! Very organized and cool looking. Their prices are still competitive compared to online shopping so in that sense, I don't mind shopping in person to actually see the products and play with it a bit before purchasing! read more

Been here only once. Usually go to the one on Kendall closer to 127. We ordered and item Online and just needed to be picked up. Tell me how it took an hour. They had one small girl doing all the work. Between checking people out and pickup orders. Meanwhile I had to go tell the guy that a greeter to have someone help her out. There was 3 people in line ready to pay and 3 people waiting to pick up. No one noticed she needed help and no one offered. Definitely not working as a team here. read more

One time The children that work at the entrance desk told me "he's in the bathroom". So I shopped around. Thirty minutes later they changed the story to "he's not here yet". if i could give this place negative stars i would. i went to the best buy near miami international and they told me they didn't have what i needed and to go to the dadeland store as they will be open for one more hour. i asked the worker one more time to ensure they would be open he said they would be open for one more hour. i double check by checking online as well it says nine. i go to the dadeland best buy and the doors are shut. it is eight twenty. i ask the person and he said they close at eight. i say it says online that it's nine and also the other best buy told me differently. he says the door says eight. i say no it doesn't (i will attach this photo for you) then his coworker attempts to bring out a tv for a pickup order. he drops the tv. we can hear the drop through the door which is shut and locked. i tell the man who is picking up the tv he would be wise to keep his receipt. the employee once again says we close at eight. i walk away in defeat and buy the exact same thing for the exact same price at target downstairs. i will not be back to best buy this is in the top three worst customer service experiences ive ever had in my time on this earth. read more

So.... Went to the store today and bought a new TV, sound bar and bracket. Sales kid was super nice and knowledgeable. However, they didn't have the TV in stock. So... no problem , he told me to drive over to the bird Road store and they would have my whole order waiting for me and I could pick it all up there so far so good. So I drive over to Bird Road and walk in go to the Pick Up station and the lady says that my order will take about 90 minutes to be ready.. she explained that they were orders ahead of mine that they were putting together and that's how long it was gonna take. I then correctly pointed out that I could simply walk to the TV section , buy the stuff and be out the door in 10 minutes.. she agreed that was true but said she would have to cancel the order I had just done at dadeland , resell me the same exact stuff at Bird Road and I could leave in a few minutes. Of course, this made no sense to me whatsoever. If you have the ability to put my items together in a few minutes, then just do it with my existing receipt and save yourself the trouble. I'm speculating but maybe each store competes with the other on sales and they wanted to do this just to get the sale from themselves. I just can't imagine that this is the actual policy as it makes no sense whatsoever. More over the sales people at Bird Road were far less personable and knowledgeable than the outstanding dadeland guy. read more

What happened to BEST BUY? The location is convenient. They spruced up the store, but that is about it. The average sales person do not know what they are selling. There is some AT & T promotion going on so they are pushing AT&T upon every customer that enters the store there must be a great bonus in it for the salespeople. And even BIGGER for AT&T. I went in for a dash cam and NOT ONE PERSON knew where they were located inside the very store they work in. So, we can all agree that products sold at Best Buy are not part of onsite product placement in-store employee orientation. Do they still sell the movie size bag of sour patch kids? I never thought it was part of Best Buy for electronics, home appliances, but it seemed to make sense. While the store is lovely and the store-in-store theme seems like a great idea. Best Buy is nothing more than all charm but no substance. The one guy I found who knew where the dash cams were located inside the store walked me to the location and promptly took his phone out to see if what I wanted was in stock. The only trouble is that wanted "advice, knowledge, input" life experiences, or even how many he has sold. You know the old way one would shop at Best Buy. Right?! This guy while kind and helpful knew nothing in the way of dash cams. So, I thanked him and walked out of the store never to return. One star because yelp makes you give a star to post the review. On a previous trip I walking into this Best Buy for a flat screen tv. That was a colossal waste of time. Don't get me started on the dummies working the Magnolia area. I would like to give a 5 star rating to the Geek Squad at Dadeland for their service today. I had taken my laptop to Best Buy store in another state , but not feeling comfortable with their analysis, I decided to get a second opinion. The original analysis was that there was something wrong with the hardware and that they would have to send the laptop out for repair involving me having to pay for shipping and handling and then the cost of parts. Worst of all I would be without my computer for 2 to 4 weeks. I thought, I will take it to the Dadeland Geek Squad and ask them to troubleshoot the problem. They did what the other store should have done and that was to apply updates to my PC which resulted in my problem being fixed. this review is not for Dadeland but for online "service". I bought two ranges and also paid for haul away service for old appliances. The driver delivered the new ranges but did not take away the old ones. I called "customer service" and was told my tenant told the driver not to take away the old range. this is a lie. the driver actually told my tenant that the haul away service was not paid for and left both ranges outside my property. I called the 800 number and ended up in India/Pakistan... not sure which and it was a worthless call and very frustrating. I've been to this Best Buy a bunch of times, most especially when I first moved here and needed to outfit my place with electronics (TVs, a home theater system, etc.), and also needed to buy cables and accessories to connect it all up. I've also returned here to buy accessories for my cell phones, a few DVDs and other items. As far as Best Buy stores go, this location is one of the better ones. It's often busy, but the layout is good, there's always plenty of open aisle space for people to move around, and I love Best Buy stores in general since you can come here, actually get your hands on nearly all the equipment they sell, compare different models and brands and "kick the tires" a bit before making a purchase. As others mentioned, I'm also a fan of the ability to shop and buy things online and then come here to the store and pick them up. read more

I've never had any issues with this Best Buy store. Yet today, when I went to return an item that I only used for about 10 minutes, they tell me the whole thing is damaged and can't receive back the money that I paid for it. Take a look at the "damage" yourself. It came with a Magic Keyboard I bought (no problem with the keyboard, the actually product). The customer service person and the manager (this occurred on 8/2/17 around 12:30pm) were not friendly and did not attempt to reason with me. The icing on the cake: they said I could exchange it. Would that not allow me to return that product and receive the cash back? And would that not mean that you'd be taking the item back? So why not let me return it? Worst customer service ever. I believe these two woke up on the wrong side of the bed or needed to fill their ego. Gonna go to another Best Buy that is close by for any future purchases/returns/exchanges. UPDATE: Refunded money at Best Buy 5 minutes from this location on US1 and 119 st. No problems. Wow. Buying from here next time. read more

I explained to this person with no knowledge that am returning an opened item purchased two weeks ago which half no restocking fee and that was verified by Best Buy customer service before purchasing the item. I wasted my time driving to this best buy. Upon arrival, I encountered the rudest, impolite, abrupt manager, Katelyn H (A white female hispanic with glasses). She did not want to even interact with the proof of messages I had with the previous agent or look through the notes in the system. I needed some techy stuff so I made my order for pick up and then afterwards shortly browsed their aisles to see if I missed something. I like the headset variety but they could add some more everyday wear and tear friendly options as well. Of course the TV's are displayed everywhere but I found the ability to sample the extra sonos speaker I thought I needed in person before purchasing it. Plenty of home security systems here but I'll always recommend the Ring for it's easy installation and wonderful customer service. Nowadays, we rely on technology to get us by and luckily this store makes it easier to be efficient at doing so. Plenty of gadgets for the whole family are available here. When I went to the computer section to buy my laptop - was told pretty rudely that I would have to wait- while the guy took a personal call. Needless to say I'm not a big fan at this point. Just had a less than sub par experience as to BestBuy in 3 different departments. All of which just basically tells me that these brick n mortars will be extinct in the near future. I'm an elite Best buy member and im a prime member. With Amazon, I average $2,000 a month in order orders. I came to Best buy to pick up a couple things and show some support to the long sleeve BestBuy. First , we went to look at Apple laptops as my daughter wants one... The guy there basically ignored us for 10 minutes and when I asked for his help it was literally bothering him. So we moved on, there was a potential $1500 sale. Then we go to soundbar section, and see the open box stuff so we're looking around and a guy comes by and I gotta tell u, someone needs to give these guys some donuts and coffee... It was like he was either high, sleeping or a bit slow. Either way, there was a box with a stereo in it that looked pretty decent but no price so I asked him if he could check the price... he calls over two guys and they have a conversation... 4 minutes later he comes over and he said it's between $600-$900 and u have to buy an amplifier for it. I told him okay, but how much is this one? He didn't know, he figured when I asked I just wanted a ball park , perhaps he didn't think I could afford it? Either way. I asked him if he could find out the actual price and not a ballpark and he literally looked at me like it was a ludacris request. Keep in mind, this was now the second time I had to ask the same exact thing. He leaves and comes back with the biggest attitude... honestly at that point I was ready to leave. We picked up a TV mount $50 and a Projector Mount that was priced $40... got to the counter and it was scanned $120 for the projector mount. Of course I asked the lady to check again cuz it was marked $40 and literally within 1 second she said no, that's the price. So I said "maybe there is a mistake cuz it was listed at $40, could u please check?" She told me no, that's the price. So I ask her to walk with me to the shelf. It's not that I don't think that I couldn't be wrong but At least humor me and check the system. We get to the area and what do you know, the mounts were wrongly placed with $40 for a surge protector. So I was wrong, of course I apologized and left. What's the point? We went there to get a few things and was prepared to spend some decent money instead it'll all be going to Bezoz. Good help is hard to find and it's clear BestBuy is no exception. It's a real shame, I will miss going to physical stores but to reiterate , this will be the demise of BestBuy. read more

Best Buy is your usual electronics chain. This particular Best Buy though has a killer location. It shares its parking garage with restaurants such as Lan Pan Asian Café and retailers such as Michael's and Target, so going to this Best Buy, you're bound to walk around. Not to mention that the parking garage is covered, has elevators and stairs alike, and there are several PokéStops around - I managed to get my first Dratini here! All that aside, the Best Buy has a cornucopia of products ranging from appliances to electronics. Laundry machines, computers, a spare cable, you will find any and all of it here. I found this Best Buy organized and having lots of sales. I got the cutest flashlights for $4 when one flashlight here cost $4, so yes, it was quite the bargain. Oh, and the associate who attended me was attentive, striking up a brief conversation, so I could definitely see myself returning if in the area. read more

I shop for all of my electronics at Best Buy. I've never had any problems. This time I want to praise D'Andre for his great service when I went to purchase a couple of TVs last night. Although I knew exactly what I wanted and he confirmed they were my best options, at the time of check out he couldn't get my deliveries in the system. He tried everything, and got a manager and several other employees involved. He never gave up and was extremely attentive. Finally he figured a way to get around the glitch and I left having everything exactly the way I wanted. Worst customer service. The pregnant manager was no help at all!! I bought an Apple Watch Series 3 and within a day the screen was cracked along the border in the shape of a rectangle. It clearly was not dropped, I had the series 2 for 2 yrs and it never cracked. They wouldn't return it and tried to tell me that it was must have fallen. I took it to the Apple Store and the manager there told me it was not a normal crack and they should have taken it back at Best Buy. Appliances!!! This Best Buy is a special location for appliances. They have a partnership with a higher-end appliance firm called Pacific Kitchen & Home, and this location is the regional one with a store-within a store for Pacific. You're still buying from Best Buy, and the installation will still be done by the Geek Squad... they're amazing at this by the way- more later about them! The experience in-store is completely different than the standard Best Buy appliance shopping experience. No hunting for help... they have a sales counter with advisors wearing Pacific shirts standing at the ready. They're knowledgeable too. I had been to two other locations looking to replace our 15 yr old washer and dryer, and had received uncertain and even misleading answers about the many models of LG units available. We wanted white, but we're being led to believe only a fake "stainless" grey color was available with the features we wanted. I mentioned that we didn't like the darker color, but wanted the features, and the rep immediately told me they did have the same model in white, and that overall it would be over $100 less! I was easily able to complete my purchase within my lunch hour, including driving there and parking. And, thankfully they accepted ApplePay because I had left my wallet at work. Four days later, the Geek Squad took away our old washer and dryer and installed the new ones... they had some cool tools, including a harness to help haul the heavy equipment. It was a beautifully and sorely needed uneventful Saturday afternoon. Buggers - remembered I'd absolutely promised to take a friend to purchase a new laptop... Duty called, so off we went, dodging the US1 obstacle course bound for those places I generally hate most. OK, I thought, this can be relatively painless: just point out a laptop, say "this is the one", pay and get out of there. Fat chance. I did it again... forgot to turn on my impervioustogreatdeals&awesome technology defense shield... folded like a deprived 50s housewife before an encyclopedia salesman. And grossly overestimated capacity to deal with modern technology, as usual. Laptop fadeout, rapidly emerging close-up of wireless printer-copier-scanner-fax of your dreams. Wait, was that my friend who stormed out in a flustered state being so ignored? No, whew, someone else, she was just around the corner with the one she'd chosen in 20 seconds flat. So to the checkout we go, friend is successfully dropped off to enjoy new laptop and I am gleefully unpacking my (unknowingly) all-nighter printer setup project. Mr. LaLotto gives up rooting for me and eventually goes to bed. The dogs, one by one, all throw their infamous loyalty out the door and do the same. And there I am, alone in the wee hours, accompanied only by printer help people, ATT call menus, 50+ "is this the best number to reach you in case we get cut off?" and 20+ cut-offs with no return calls, but damned if I'm going to let a measly piece of plastic with a bunch of circuits beat me down. Nooo, this time I'm actually going to follow the instructions step by step, rather than ignore them as I always do, even if it is the 70th time I've gone through the same steps. This thing is going to get installed whether it likes it or not. Not. 5 am rolls around and maturity catches up with my age - Epson 1, LaLotto 0. But aha, we're talking about Best Buy, are we not? In the land of the returns, these guys are king. Sunday: special advertised for same printer, uninstallable piece @*(!)#$ piece of crap is loathingly stuffed into styrofoam pieces that no longer seem to fit and slovenly box is exchanged w/$70 credit to boot (due to advertised special). New version of same printer is given a second chance. Very clever Best Buy clerk looks at instructions and comments that they are wrong. Correct instructions given in about 45 seconds. Back at home, installation completed in about 3 minutes. If only I had the energy, I would yelp Epson printer instructions w/the same rating Gina H gave Comcast. But Best Buy, they saved the day. and I can actually print this page (wirelessly, in fact). I'm giving that pleasure to Mr. LaLotto - still waiting for shrink appointment to address post-traumatic printer-installation syndrome, but that's a whole different review. read more

Just stopped in to pick of my tax free week online order of my new laptop!!!!.The staff is always very friendly and welcoming. I walked right over to customer service are. At first there was a line of 5 people and only one employee, but when she noticed the line was long she radioed for backup. Quickly 2 other store team members began helping us in line. Total time from entry to exit was about 10 mins. Not too bad for being on my lunch break. Pick was especially easy. Just had to show my order email along with my I'd and credit card. While I might not be that fond of Dadeland Station, I must say that I like the businesses that are present. This BestBuy has good service and even though the associates that helped me were not that knowledgeable, they went out of their way to find that answer. The best part about these associates is that they are smart enough to multi-task. Yes, they can perform more than one task at a time so there is no need to worry about "walking and chewing gum" at this particular store. I was able to make my purchase and with each step I happily surprised my sales associate as I helped her meet her daily benchmark. RANDOM AND ABSURD ALERT! The best part of the experience was when I got mooned. Yes, there was a guy in the camera section with droopy pants and he felt the need to bend over right in front of me. I don't know that underwear could have contained all of his man-ass. It was refreshing to see someone so comfortable with his own body.
