Don't get to Best Buy that often anymore. I needed to upgrade my TV to better connect with my other entertainment components, specifically HDMI ARC for a sound bar. It wasn't too busy when I arrived on a Thursday afternoon. There were a few associates available around the store, but I didn't need any help. I found a small selection of 50 inch TVs that met my requirements. The checkout process was straightforward, and I was able to split the purchase between a prepaid debit card with a small remaining balance and my regular credit card. My 2 1/2 year-old iPhone 14 Pro battery is showing 78%. I have AppleCare warranty, which covers the replacement of 100% of the cost to replace the battery and Apple care recommended Best Buy Brookfield and the app showed that there would be zero cost to me! I set up the appointment at Best Buy and they told me there would be no cost for me for replacing the battery under my warranty. I get there in naturally their geek squad has a bunch of people that just sit down with you and try to upsell you services and what not. I didn't agree to anything and told her I just wanted the battery replaced under warranty. The geek representative told me it would be $29. I calmly told her that Apple told me there'd be no charge and when I set up the appointment, you guys told me there'd be no cost for battery replacement. She said that's how they get paid which I know it is a lie. I proceeded to tell her that I would no longer do business with Best Buy ever and took my phone and walk out of the store and called AppleCare. AppleCare was all apologetic and told me that they would send me a box to ship my phone into them however take at least a week before I get it back with a new battery in it at NO cost to me! ****One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had -- future customers, please read before you buy here****** I normally don't write reviews, but what happened to me at this Best Buy location needs to be shared so other customers don't go through the same stress, loss, and frustration that I did. I visited this store on November 26 and spent nearly 3 hours researching before purchasing a camera (~$2,500). I also applied for a Best Buy credit card as a new customer -- everything was created and processed by the store staff. The next day, I discovered that my entire Best Buy account was completely broken. None of my orders or credit card information showed up. Customer care later informed me that the store accidentally created TWO separate accounts, which locked me out of everything and prevented me from making any purchases online -- including the Black Friday deals I was waiting for. I spent the next two days: Calling customer care with no real help Going back to the store Waiting nearly 3 hours in a crowded environment Only to be told the system would take up to 15 days to fix Because of their mistake, I lost all Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals -- the biggest sale events of the year. What made it worse was the attitude. The store manager (DAVID) even suggested this was "my problem," even though I did not create any account -- the employees did everything in-store. After wasting my time again with no solution, I ended up returning the entire $2,500 purchase out of total frustration. This experience destroyed my trust in Best Buy as a company. Warning to Future Customers: If your account gets messed up -- even if it's Best Buy's fault -- you will be the one who suffers. I like to give places like this the benefit of the doubt, and now I wish I hadn't because they ruined Christmas for us this year. Complete disorganization at this store; orders placed online supposedly have a set number of days for pickup, but are arbitrarily cancelled and put back on the shelf days prior to the supposed pickup timeframe ending. Emails sent automatically by Best Buy indicating items are ready for pickup have no bearing when the person running the store pickup counter has no idea where your product is, can't find anything with your name on it, has no attempt at a resolution or any way to escalate. And most offensively, it is literally impossible to call the store and speak to a live person. Calling this local store's number sends you into call center hell, stuck in endless automated menus with an AI assistant misunderstanding you and hanging up on you, and then if you do get through to a live person, it's certainly not someone standing behind the counter at Best Buy Brookfield, but rather a call center agent in another country with absolutely no interest in solving you with your problem and who will inevitably just hang up on you after several minutes without resolution. This is a company with mostly young and inexperienced workers. I called them for service on my Refrigerator. The guy that showed up was in his early twenties and had never seen a big KitchenAid Professional, (Similar to a Subzero or Viking refrigerator). It was obvious, though he would not admit it, that he did not have a clue why my Freezer would not get cold but my Refrigerator side was cold. After 90 minutes I asked him to leave and he wanted to charge me $325.00 ! GET LOST ! I then called KitchenAid and they recommended Accurate Appliance Electronics Repair. 414-777-0072. They came out, found the problem within 20 minutes, Gave me a written estimate, A bad control relay and had it fixed the same say I called in. I approved the estimate and the Tech had it fixed in about 75 minutes. Accurate Appliance Electronics Repair was inexpensive and fast. I highly recommend them. read more

Received a phone call a little later and was informed that I needed two keys to complete the installation. I did not have two keys to the vehicle so I could not get it completed and like I explained to the service technician it would've been beneficial to know this information prior to the appointment. Called the store later to see if anything could be done to compensate me for lost time and effort and was informed by the store manager that there was nothing that could be done. My nerd hobby is outdoor videos and it was time to up grade the HD camera to a 4K camera so I can watch them on my 4K tv. I did my research and looked around to see 4K camcorders/camreas are at an affordable price point so I decided it was time for the upgrade. The camcorder that I wanted was only at this best by location and they showed only one in stock so after previous experiences of low stock and the item not found I was fearing that I would leave empty handed. As I was looking at the display model a young man in a white shirt and a bow tie asked if he could help me which he did wonderfully. 4K videos have a lot of information so you can't use just any memory card and need a specific class/speed card which I asked him about it and he knew his stuff and got me the correct one for my needs. What I love about Best Buy is the free money, the no interest promotions if paid in full is how I buy all the big ticket items which I always pay in full one month before the expiration date, I'm not complaining if they want to loan me money for free. Overall this was one of my best Best Buy experiences and the camera works wonderful, I'm making 4K HDR videos that look great on my tv. read more

Went to this store to get a tv that was on sale. Most of the employees were busy at each register some even had customers. Not very busy. The direct tv guy was the only guy trying to do his job. Others were assembling tv's. Talking to each other. We were looking at spending in the range of $550-650. Most of the sale items were gone. No rain checks. So they offered to take $20-40 off a display. No deal. So we drove down the street to SAM's club all tvs were in stock they also had a few returns with boxes at a good discount. Manager flat out lied to my face. I see Best Buy has a great price on Chromebooks during a 3 day sale. It's the last day of the sale and my local store has nothing in stock. I go to order one online but decide to stop in the store to look at other models. Look around at the store and decide the model I selected was the best bang for the buck. Go to order online and the new ones are out of stock. For $9 less I can get a certified open box Chromebook. I THOROUGHLY read through the ad to make sure the certified open box item will come with all accessories; in this case just a charger. Chromebook shows up two days later and.... no charger! I chat with customer service online and ask if I can just go to my local store to get a charger. They say no problem. Walk into the store today and the manager directs me to the laptop section to have an employee help me. Employee helps me select the right charger and then I ask him if I should go to customer service since I should be getting this for free. He asks to see my order and I show him on my phone the order and that certified open box includes all accessories. He sees that I'm telling the truth and advises me to go to the registers. Once I'm up at the register the manager has to be called over to help which is totally understandable. He spends a few minutes looking up my order and then tells me a bold faced lie that I'm honestly surprised he thought would work. "You bought it for $169 and at that price it doesn't come with a charger." I ask him where on my order it says no charger included. He doubles down on his lie. "If the ad was misrepresented all I can do is return it for you." At this point I know I'm getting BS'ed so I tell him thanks and walk out. Straight to calling customer service and she was very helpful. She tells me it should have come with a charger and there are two ways they normally handle these issues. 1. Return. (I would rather not return the Chromebook I just got on sale especially after spending this much time researching and trying to fix the issue.) 2. Have a local store fix the issue by providing me a charger! I thought I was asking for something they normally don't do but turns out this is normal Best Buy policy! I purchased an Arlo pro 4 Camera set and 22 days after purchasing it stopped working. I've had Arlo products before and I do recommend them. On the other hand, I suggest that you don't purchase through Beat Buy. They refused to exchange the defective product, since it was over 15 days. But if I would've been an elite BB member, by purchasing more throughout the year, they would've exchanged it. BB warranty exchange is only 15 days, beyond that they require you go directly through the manufacturer. I purchased through BB to get the camera immediately rather than waiting a couple days by ordering direct. I also paid a little more through BB than directly from Arlo. Their defective exchange policy penalizes those who haven't purchased $3500/yr. if you can, purchase direct from the Manufacturer. The bottom line is that if you have an issue, you'll have to go through the manufacturer anyway. read more

I came here to make a formal complaint against Best Buy as corporate has been absolutely no help. On December 12th of 2020, I was supposed to have a dryer delivered. The delivery team who never identified themselves was a third party hired by Best Buy. The first issue I have is they arrived at my house several hours late without a phone call. I had to play phone tag to find out where my appliance was. After arriving at my home, the team damaged my wall as they were carrying the appliance through my kitchen. I asked for supervisor information as well as paperwork documenting the damage. I was promised such but no such luck. More on this later. The team eventually made their way to my basement and disconnected my dryer from the wall. I immediately noticed the new dryer had scratches all over. I informed them they would need to send a new appliance due to the damage. Instead of installing the new dryer while I waited for the replacement, the team took the dryer, loaded it back onto the truck and never reconnected my old dryer. Prior to the team leaving, I asked for information regarding the damage to the wall. One of the males said they would go out to the truck and return shortly with the proper information. Well, the team loaded the damaged appliance onto the truck and took off. This was eventually remedied after many phone calls, but I still had no appliance. This leads me into delivery number two. On the day of the second attempt, the team arrived at my home and stated there was nothing in the system about an appliance hookup. They also stated there was nothing in the system about hauling away my old appliance, even though I paid for the service. They told me they would be unable to connect the new dryer. They also informed me this second dryer was damaged. The team loaded the dryer back onto the truck, and I was left with nothing. Still no usable dryer as the first team left my old one disconnected. Here comes the third delivery. The team arrives, brings my dryer into the basement but wouldn't you know it, this one was damaged as well! Three appliances damaged! I have called corporate more times than I can count and everyone has told me they cannot do anything to make up for the failed deliveries. A fourth delivery was scheduled but cancelled on Best Buy's end the day of. A fifth delivery has since been scheduled. I have yet to receive this new appliance but I am dreading the appointment as I fear this will be damaged as well. Three damaged appliances is unacceptable. The fact that nobody can help me or explain why my products keep arriving damaged is unacceptable. I wish this were the only issue I have had with Best Buy deliveries but it's not. My first delivery was for a new refrigerator. They sent me the wrong one even though I picked out the one I wanted in stores. The second issue was a no call, no show for a stove delivery. The third issue I had was a damaged washing machine. Now this. I am officially done with Best Buy. I was never compensated for the previous delivery mishaps, even though I had contacted corporate as I was instructed. The only form compensation came after the delivery team was late for my latest delivery. No other forms of compensation have been offered for the damaged wall or three damaged appliances. No compensation has been offered for the hours I've spent on the phone or the hours I've had to sit at home for redeliveries. Horrible, horrible experience. read more

If there was a way to give a lower review than 1 star I would. First, I have been a Best Buy Rewards Elite or Elite Plus customer for years so they have made a lot of money off of me. We chose to use Geek Squad for an iPhone repair rather than Apple Genius Bar due to availability of appointments. We dropped the phone off on a Monday evening and they ran some diagnostics and told me it was a known issue and they would send to Apple for an exchange and it would be back in 4 to 7 days. I received an email from Best Buy saying the phone had been checked in at 6:22pm on 7/08 and would be assigned to a technician shortly. No update until another email arrives on 7/10 saying it had been assigned to a technician at 7:28am. Another update at 7:29am saying it was going into extended testing. There has been no update since then so I tried to call the store today. It was automated menu Hell. It took 18 minutes to finally figure out a way to talk to a live person. He asked my phone number and then, without saying anything, I hear silence on the phone and knew he had put me on hold. Four minutes later he came back and said they had sent off for a part to repair the phone and it had come in DOA. I called them out and said I was told it would be sent to Apple for exchange so how could the part have been dead. He then typed a bit more and said it was the replacement phone that was DOA so they sent off for another one. He couldn't give me a timeline of when it may be repaired and I am left doubting if I have the real story. He offered to open an escalation ticket with Apple but admitted that might not do anything. I asked who would be calling me back with an update and he said he would see if a Geek Squad Manager could do that. My mistake for thinking that a company who has been earning thousands of dollars a year in my loyalty would reward that. Guess I'm going back to the Internet for my purchase since the brick and mortar store can't provide any better customer service than the website. read more

I've gone to this Best Buy for many, many years. I've made many a "CD Run" back in the day. So, the time has come for my husband and I to look into upgrading our television. It's March Madness - there's no better time to get a TV than now! As we walked through the store, we noticed it really wasn't that busy (as busy as you would think for a Tuesday night). We headed over to the television section. We were obviously there to buy, or at least we looked very interested. We spent quite a bit of time comparing all the televisions (even though we already knew what we wanted - we did all of our research at home over the past month or so). We watched and waited to make our move, when the TV we wanted went on sale. So, here we were. The goofs working the area were more interested in tossing a football (or something that looked like it) back and forth - and screwing around - rather than help us out. I agree with one of the previous posters, the DirectTV guy was way more interested and knowledgeable than the two dorks who were working the floor that night. Honestly, if I was their age, and it was an after school 'screw off' job - I'd probably be the same way. Anyway - they didn't even have the TV in stock, the clerk told us we'd have to order it online. Their selection of TV stands also left a lot to be desired. I was amazed at how many of their floor models were so poorly put together, if you leaned on them, they'd break. Not exactly the point you'd like to make to a customer when they're looking at buying a 135 lb TV. At any rate, we hopped on I-94 to another "local" electronics store, a short jaunt down the road. Not only was the sales guy there incredibly knowledgable, but we wound up buying a TV there instead. It was almost $150 cheaper and we got a 55" instead of the 47". I used to come here frequently when I did my music shopping. This particular Best Buy has lost a lot in the past few years, and I'm no so quick to run here for my music and electronics purchases any more. read more

Let me first say that I was a loyal customer of this Best Buy for a good fifteen years. Not so anymore. My dad and I went here to purchase three high-definition television sets, about $600 each. We stood in the television section and couldn't find any sales representatives. Then, when we did find one, he said that he was busy and would send someone else over to help us. We had to wait another twenty minutes before anyone would actually help us buy the TVs we wanted. The two employees who were assigned to help us take our purchases out to the car seemed more interested in talking with each other about what they did the night before than actually doing their job. Maybe we just didn't get quality customer service because Best Buy employees don't make commission...rightfully so, I guess. I'm never buying anything from this location again. I've had nothing but good experiences at the Delafield Best Buy, however. Shop there instead; they actually value their customers. read more

I would give zero stars if that was an option. The worst customer service experience! The Assistant Managers on both times were barely out of high school and I have been unable to speak with the store manager or ever find out his name. I was sold a modem that the salesperson assured me would work with my internet provider and it did not. He also assured me that I could return for full credit if there was a problem. This was not true. The "baby" managers only offer in store credits. I also tried to contact a district manager for Best Buy but this is impossible. Management of this company seems to be a secret. I also feel that I would sold $200 of merchandise I could not use because I was uneducated regarding internet modems and a senior citizen. So I have been to this location four times, and only one time was I completely ignored by all of the employees in the store... even the one at the front of the store who usually greets people. However, the other three times I received pretty good service and on one occasion I had fantastic service. The time that I have the fantastic service I was considering getting rid of cable, getting an antenna and some kind of streaming box thingy to use. The staff member greeted me and he asked me a couple of questions to figure out what I actually needed and narrowed down my options and then explained my options to me. He didn't try to sell me the most expensive thing, which while I appreciate he is in a sales position, I find honesty and selling me what I need versus what is beyond my means is what will make me return as a customer. And when I decided to purchase the antenna, he reviewed the return policy with me and said that if it doesn't work, bring it back and he would help me find a different option that would work better. And... when I decided I wanted to think about the Roku box instead of buying it then, he didn't pressure me! Fast forward to a week later, I brought the antenna back. It worked great on the day I purchased it (isn't that just how it works!), but after that, I could only get a couple of channels... I am trying to figure out what happened inside of my building (interference, etc.) so I thought I would bring it back until I can diagnose the problem. While the friendly staff member was not working that night, I did receive good service in returning the antenna and suggestions for some other options. read more

I ordered a dryer to be delivered and installed and the old one taken away. The dryer was taken off the truck with a HAND TRUCK and was "installed" (see pic). The dryer was not tested to see if it was balanced and the driver took 3.5 minutes to do the entire task. I ended up RE DOING IT MYSELF and 45 minutes of my time wasted. I went online chat and was on hold for 15 minutes and it disconnected. SO lesson learned about Best Buy read more

Worst customer service ever!! These guys nearly had my poor mom in tears after how rude and unhelpful they are. My mom is a PAYING member of Geek Squads service. She needed help with the wireless connection on her laptop. She called Geek Squad on Thursday and was connected to a young man who tried to help her but he had a terrible phone connection and kept cutting out then call dropped and she never received a call back. She called back and chose the option where Geek Squad calls you back instead of you waiting on hold the whole time. She never got the call. Then on Friday she called back and waited on the line for over an hour to get to talk to some one (she was leery of trying the call back option so she stayed on the line the whole time). She finally got talk to someone and they were just about the must unhelpful impatient jerk they could be. They did not take the time to talk to her and see what the problem was. Her internet wasn't working on her laptop so they told her to call her provider and have them reset router. They didn't listen to her when she told them her other devices were able to connect to the internet. If they had taken the time to ask her a few questions they would have realized it was the wireless card in her laptop and not the router. They basically just blew her off and did not even try to see if they could help. I understand it can be super frustrating to help and older person who doesn't know much about computers but IT IS YOUR JOB! If you love computers but are unable to kindly help people then maybe Geek Squad isn't for you. I will be contacting a manager about this as well. read more

I waited on hold several times for over 15 min before I was able to contact a live person who then sent me to the tv manufacturer web site to make a warranty claim on a failed tv under warranty. The web site directed to call a phone number for service which was back to the geek squad. 2 phone calls and 3 hours of waiting got me a return authorization. The replacement tv was to be delivered but I did not get a call on the day of delivery as promised. I called the store and was told it was on the way. It never showed up. Am still dealing with them to find out where it is and why it was not delivered. horrible service, horrible follow up. I should have just bought it from Amazon for the same price. read more

I Bought a asus computer and spent a total of $560 in total had trouble from day 1! brought back product and Best Buy refused to return money or exchange it. They even accused me of spilling something on computer. Brought in for service twice with no remedy in sight. I sent it back to ASUS AND paid for shipping of computer and they refused shipment and sent it back to me damaged from shipment now they want me to send them proof how is was damaged! Best Buy has become the biggest scammer store since American. The problem is they have run almost everyone else out of business. I wanted to purchase a laptop. I did my research and knew the exact model that I wanted and then checked there website to see if they had it. They said that they had it available at the Brookfield location and the price was good. Went to the store found the display for the laptop and got a clerk and said, "I want that". The clerk gives the old up-sell saying they have a service that preps the computer and makes the back up disks for you, because "you know this computer does not come with backup disks, you have to make them yourself, and it takes hours". I said I have no problem making disks and I would rather not shell out $50 for something I can do myself. She then said they had it in stock and waddled off to get it. She came back and said "I'm sorry all we have is pre-prepped ones". SCAM!!! I have gone through this before with Best Buy so I knew what to do. I went home and ordered the laptop from their internet website and chose the store pickup option. Walked in to the same store the next day and they handed me the laptop. They can't try to scam money out of you because you are just picking up something you already paid for. What a joke. They couldn't just give me what I wanted without making me jump through hoops to get their advertised price.
