Clean and organized. Priced high, some items you can buy new for the same price. Good selection, something for everyone. Service is ok, only issue is they can't answer questions about the pedicure. read more

I had no issue with the staff but one thing about this company is that they will try to give you less than it's worth. I went there to exchange an amp d4s worth $320. It was brand new! I had brought the PHYSICAL receipt of it expecting that they will accommodate at least around the price that I got it for and the workers told me $70! read more

Actually, I didn't end up exchanging anything, but the customer service was excellent! I went to trade in an essentially brand new, unused two year old or so acoustic guitar. Like multiple occasions in my life, I had grand plans of learning this instrument. Then, not so much. ADHD is strong! The guy who helped me was very efficient and helpful. Recommended that I go to a music store and see if I could get a better deal. I did! Highly recommend taking this random drive out to sell items you are not using or have never used. The value of customer service and assessment of the goods I brought in exchange were both great despite not actual selling to Pawn America! read more

I recently visited this location to sell a few personal items and was incredibly disappointed by the lack of professionalism and expertise. First, the associate was unable to properly locate the silver hallmarks on my necklace, incorrectly claiming it was fake until I had to physically point out the stamp myself. This was dismissed with a laugh, which immediately raised red flags about their staff training. The situation worsened when I presented a beautiful, vintage Victorian-style sterling silver ladle. Despite clear sterling markings, the associate again claimed the item was counterfeit. Furthermore, the staff demonstrated a concerning lack of accuracy regarding basic measurements; two different employees provided conflicting weights in grams after keeping the item out of my sight for a period of time. Frustrated by the incompetence, I took the ladle to an independent buyer and antique collector who immediately verified its authenticity and purchased it for $215--proving it held significant value well beyond its mere scrap weight. Pawn America completely misjudged high-quality, authentic precious metals and antiques. I highly recommend taking your valuables elsewhere to someone who actually knows how to test and evaluate jewelry and silver. read more

Very nice work with you. Been going there for 12 years. A-1. Deals, but, wait for them. Keep an eye on what you want. It will go down

Worst customer service experience ever! The "tough guy" middle aged manager with the closely cropped blonde hair was immensely disrespectful, condescending, and obnoxiously smug. I complained because the parking lot's handicapped spots were taken by non handicapped people without state handicap tags. Apparently my being in a wheelchair was simply too inconvenient for Mr manager. He has made it perfectly clear that he doesn't have time or patience for disabled people. This will be the last time I will ever be at Pawn America!!!!!!!! This location needs a lesson on the Americans with Disabilities Act. read more

I received an email from here that they were looking for bicycles so I took some pictures of my old Trek 800 mountain bike & they quoted me $90-$100 for it. Great! Im a 100% disabled veteran on a fixed income & needed it. So, I borrowed my ex wifes SUV to haul it up there only for them to rudely decline it! This wasted my last $5 I had for food for the weekend having to drive up there. I had a PTSD moment & pretty much left the damn bike there. I wasn't even out of the parking lot & the manager was outside looking at it & then wheels it inside!! This after they told me they don't want it. Ridiculous! So, if you see a Gold Trek 800 mountain bike for sale here, they got it for free & initially refused it, so don't pay full price. As for Pawn America. If this is your business practices , you should be ashamed. Don't send quotes if you're not going to buy it. Im off to the VA now to hell put my mind back in a good place. I hate when I have issues but I can't help it at times. My brain is damaged. Thanks! read more

I was a there at the 76 st location. The short fat lousy manager allowed a contagious employee to come to work. The employee Brandon was so sick he was spitting gobs of mucus blowing there nose and wiped there nose coughing. Never once washed hands. I get sick. For just about a week. I had to miss family time so they didn't get sick. Didn't work well enough. ALSO PAWN AMERICA BEGS FOR A 5 STAR REVIEWS. I had online quotes from 2 pawn America locations - West Allis and North 76th. They both were comparable, but I chose to go to the West Allis location since it was a half hour away from my house vs. 50 minutes. My item (pneumatic reversable drill) is in perfect condition, as described in my online submissions and pictures. The store staff agreed. However, at the store they tried to offer me about half of what was quoted online. The stores "coach" stated that it takes them a long time to sell pneumatic tools. I wasted an entire Saturday morning and $15 in gas because they chose to be deceiving. I will be telling everyone I know to stick with selling items on Facebook Marketplace or Ebay and to avoid these idiots. read more

Drive there to get a quoted on my watches ... Tag and Omega watches ( higher end ones that you would have to check serial numbers if they are real or not ). The person at the buying line would take them because they did not have a battery. I told her nice that they are automatic and ask if someone else that knows watches better. Side note the way she handle the watch was acceptable letting it drop on the counter top ... treating it like $50 watch. I left after that. read more

Went in there to pawn a Xbox that me and my fiancé never used. Kaleb offered me 220 for it. I purchased it retail 500 and they said they are going to sell it for 400. Insult number one, then put it on the desk and said that's my best offer so if you don't want to to sell it you can take it. Then I asked about how much he would give me for the iMac and he said he would give me $300 for it. Mind you we paid 2k for it at Costco a year ago. Kaleb was extremely rude and talking over me. Along with (GV). Maybe people like buying stuff from here but I do not recommend selling. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. read more

This store's employees act like you must answer gossip questions when you go in there. The employees purposefully physically assaulted me in line knowing I was there for a loan. Claiming I have to answer sexually based questions asked by people in the store, while pretending they're not talking to me. Then had mentally ill customers verbally antagonize me so I wouldn't be able to stand in line to pick the computer up. AN EMPLOYEE named RAYMON said "I WANTED TO CHECK IP ADDRESSES ON HER COMPUTER" as I walked out. Who do you think you are!!!!!!!! read more

Do not take laptops here. I was hoping get a $400 loan so I took a laptop there that was only a few months old and was customized on the manufacturers website. They seemed to lookup the model number with the base specs. The model number doesn't change when you add/upgrade components. The laptop was around $1800 new but I was offered $200 for it and was told one just sold for $400 recently(I wish). I had no choice but to post it on ebay starting at $500 and the bids ended $878 and all I wanted to get was $400. I was also informed at the end they have a bunch of laptops that aren't selling but just may go to show they lack knowledge in this area badly. read more

This place is organized and clean. One of the nicest places I've been - but I haven't been to a lot of pawn shops. It got one extra star for cleanliness. The pricing was high and inconsistent. An older model camera was close to $600 while another was four models newer and cost half. Three camera lens (all same) were three different prices. We left without buying anything. If you want a deal, it may be hard to find it here. read more

In person I typically great, I ordered my first item online though recently and it came noticeably broken. do not go here!!! do not go here!!! do not go here!! they will rip you off.. they sell fakes and counterfeits!!! my family and i use to come to the west allis store a lot and have purchased many things! we came here right before christmas on 12/22/22 and ended up spending over $5000. my son purchased a louis vuitton purse for me and a diamond bracelet. the purse turned out to be fake! i called and spoke to the manager joel on 1/21/23 not quite 30 days later. joel couldn't care less and was rude to me as if it were my fault. i said i would come back with the purse and speak to alyssa the other manager who sold me the purse and assured me they had it authenticated. she wouldn't even talk to me! these people know us... we go all the time and have spent so much money to be treated like we were a**h*le criminals!! do not go here!! you are nothing to them, they don't care if you get ripped off! once they have your money they don't give a crap!! also i found out you lv will not give you a certificate of authenticity .. so this crappy store probably already knew this!! whatever .. i will never set foot in this junky crappy horribly run uncaring store!!! i lost over $1200 and they wouldn't even talk to me!! read more

My kid wanted a latest-and-greatest gadget, so I stopped in to the Madison Pawn America. Technology is not my gig, and the store manager, Carrie, appeared extremely busy but took the time to explain different options regarding said gadget. She was very friendly and extremely helpful. My fiancé and I walked into the store went straight to the jewelry case and looked for about 5 minutes at wedding ring. As soon as I looked up for someone to help us the employee saw us and asked if we needed any help and she was very helpful to us till the end when we purchased a beautiful ring at a decent price. I've shopped here several other times and all of them had positive outcomes. I would recommend this shop to everyone I know and don't know. read more

I just wanted to know if an ipod nano existed in the store since they are 30 minutes away. I explained to the first person I talked to what I wanted. They pass me off to "sales". I was on hold for 12 minutes before the phone cuts off. #1 To the person who answers the phone. I think you can walk over to a case to tell me if it exists. #2 Don't have options on a phone if those options don't really work. #3 You should train personal to be able to answer simple questions. Especially "does it exist in the store question". #4 You seriously need to change the overzealous voice you have to endure on hold. Nothing says shady like a voice screaming every word with excitement. I'm going to BestBuy, where they have equally crappy customer assistance but I can at least buy without worrying I'm getting scammed. read more

I get this is a pawn store but it is a bit annoying to have someone literally breathing down your neck when you're looking in cases. I appreciate having time to discuss a purchase (particularly an expensive one) and think it through before I ask to have a case opened. I was actually interrupted while looking at items in a case and asked, "so are you ready to actually pick on now?" I did find what I wanted and it does work. They have a weird way of using their credit/debit system though...two machines in two different places in the store? Weird. This was my first pawn shop experience and I was underwhelmed. read more

Running an online business, my girlfriend and I shop here daily for items. I love this place. The employees are hands on and help you with any and all questions you may have. When they are with you, they focus on you until you are ready to check out. The store itself isn't the biggest, but if you look hard enough, they have a lot to offer. Many of their items are 50-70% cheaper than retail. Many of the customers here cause problems. They are not patient and just don't have any respect for themselves let alone others. If you can get around and ignore some of the annoying customers this place is great for finding great deals! read more
