I had a terrible experience with Ace Kitchen and Appliances when they renovated my kitchen. The…read moreentire process took 2-3 weeks longer than promised, STILL NOT FINISHED! which was frustrating from the start. But the real problems began with their poor craftsmanship. To begin with, the pantry wasn't even properly secured to the wall, and I noticed nails carelessly sticking out of the cabinets. The kitchen sink was shockingly installed backwards. On top of that, many of the cabinets were scratched up, and to make matters worse, they damaged my floors and walls during the installation, leaving scratches on both and peeling paint off the walls. They didn't bother sealing the cabinets or the sink correctly, leaving gaps and an overall unprofessional finish. The soap dispenser for the kitchen sink wasn't installed at all, and their carelessness didn't stop there--they even damaged my front door by forcing cabinets through without properly opening it. Overall, I am deeply disappointed with Ace Kitchen and Appliances. Their lack of attention to detail, careless handling of my home, and delays have made this a nightmare renovation. I would not recommend them to anyone.

If you look at my cabinets they look really great, until you get into one corner of the kitchen that they messed up due to bad measurements. I contacted them several times to try to have the issues rectified, but they kept blaming the installers for doing it wrong, rather than acknowledging that the measurements were done wrong. See the picture below of the corner (before the cabinet was installed). The drawer on the right could not even open because of the drawer face on the left, so it had to be cut! Now I still have only a partial covering on that drawer. AND in order for that drawer to open, I couldn't install a handle on the drawer on the left so opening that one is always a struggle. In addition, the pullout garbage drawer thing that they ordered is not the one that I thought I was getting and that I thought I was paying for but they refused to do anything to correct it. The little bin behind the trash bin that I wanted to use for recycling is so tiny that it couldn't fit a single plastic bottle. Now it doesn't even matter because due to their bad measurements I can't even pull it out far enough to see the little bin because the the oven blocks it from opening any further. With that taken into account it should've just been one larger trash bin.

I chose them over a competitor twenty-five miles closer to me because of their reputation for honest dealing and skilled service technicians. Over the past twenty years, I have found this to be the case. I recently replaced my original dw with a new Asko from Ackerman's, whose technician and I ran into problems that called for an oscillating saw (neither of us had one and it would have taken an hour to locate and obtain one from a neighbor) but were solved with hammer, chisel, muscle, and skill (none of it mine).
