I would rate them minus -100 stars if i could. Their website is a bloody mess. I needed help with a refrigerator I had purchased online and could not get even one person on the phone to help me! So, I drove there the next day to get some damn answers to my questions. The result? I waited over 20 minutes for some one to assist me, after 30 minutes, still no sales associates came. So, I cancelled a $2500.00 appliance purchase, am cutting up my best buy credit card and am cancelling all of my memberships with them. I've been a loyal customer for years and I have never seen this place in such a bad state of mismanagement and a "devil may care" attitude by the employees. NO NAME TAG OR NAME ON SALES RECEIPT. Salesman mumbles, low talker, useless overall, and added services without asking. Picked a TV NOT EVEN ON THE FLOOR. Incomplete instructions for delivery, set up, and the ridiculous membership plan as well as no info on a real warranty. The date you are told in the store is NOT the date you're going to get. All toll free help numbers are OUT OF THE COUNTRY. WORSE THAN BUYING A CAR. The TV was installed on the wall as requested but the Geek Squad were useless as well. Provided no info unless asked and difficult to understand with only one of them able to speak. Soundbar was not installed to the TV as requested and PAID for and for $400 the sound is pretty bad. Instead of using the surge protection power strip the old TV came out of, they plugged it in a green power strip used at Christmas. We paid $200 extra for the old tv and $79 for the old sound bar to be moved to the basement and hooked up. Only half of the sound bar system was moved and not hooked up and the TV is not connected to the cable, but this time they found the surge protector power strip, moved its location and left it in the middle of the floor. Now I have to return the sound bar hook up that was not used, probably the sound bar, and ask for a refund for services that did not occur. Also charged $179 which will be charged again in another year to have a Best Buy membership that I want cancelled because I won't even buy a candy bar there. I will update after the return. So, a Manager was able to refund the sound bar installation and hard ware as well as all of the installs for downstairs I did myself. Now, here is a lesson for everyone. It is NOT the Geek Squad that shows up. It is a third party because the Geeks are booked for months. Next TV, I get from Amazon, or I just pick it up from Best Buy. read more

Proximately one year ago, I purchased a Visio TV from Best Buy in Easton. After less than a year, the TV has died. I called the store since I am a member of the Geek Squad support thing, they told me a technician could come out in a week. he did show up one week later and told me he could have done this over the phone. I was issued store, credit, and purchased a new LG TV. They said that could not be delivered for another week. They put the delivery up for between 3 PM and 7 PM, texted me at 6 AM to remind me, they showed up at 11 AM and I was at the doctor, they left. The TV was not delivered. When I called the store, they said they would deliver it the following Monday, however, they would not be able to install it until the following Wednesday. This morning the installers came to look at my TV, only the TV wasn't here. Now I have the TV but no one to install it. Very, very angry. read more

I am disabled so I bought the ring and selected to have it installed. No problem but then given ridiculous window of 12-8 and fold would call me day before with narrowed window which I need since I work full time. Plus they told me tech would bring the product. I confirmed both day before and still 12-8 but by 8pm would get call narrowing that window. NO CALL!!! That is UNACCEPTABLE to expect me to stay home miss work and pay for 8 hours for a 10 minute job!!! Unacceptable to lie to me about getting call narrowing that window! Bought an Astro A40 gaming headset back in September and did not get the Geek Squad protection plan if it breaks (which was $120). 3 months later the product stopped working (defective) so I reached out to the manufacturer and they wouldn't help me replace it even though it is not broken. So I chatted with a Best Buy rep online and they said they honor manufacturer warranty's even without the geek squad protection plan so I went to the store and they denied the reps claim and said they wouldn't do anything either so not only did I waste $250... but nobody has the decency to fix a defective product either or even attempt to come up with a solution. We ordered a new flat tv and the recommended mounting items as well as the installation. We called to confirm they would be able to install above the fireplace and our first hint there was an issue was they could not find our order. After a pleasant 43 minute back and forth they found my order and assured us we had what we needed. Our delivery and install "crew" arrived. A geek squad van with one employee and another vehicle that was clearly their personal vehicle and a man with no uniform or anything to indicate he worked for a large corporation. It was also clearly his first day on the job, but they could have brought him in their van and maybe tossed him a polo shirt. Well an hour and a half later we were left with the t.v. on the floor and the experience of listening to the geek squad employee on the phone with someone who did not understand what a sku was or now to make another appointment or what a DM was or how to input that a DM was required for this installation. The installer then gave us our new appointment for the following Friday. I took a day off work and rescheduled our appointments and waited. When I called I was told that my appointment was canceled and I had been refunded. Then when I asked how to move on to finding out what to do next, the lovely lady hung up on me and I was not willing to wait for a 28 minute hold time. We purchased a 55" TV from the Best Buy store in Easton, PA. When we took it out of the box, we noticed the screen was cracked. We immediately put the TV back in its original packing and with receipt in hand went to the store to make an exchange. We were told that because we waited longer than 15 days, the return policy was not valid. We demanded action from the General Manager, District Manager, and Chairman. They refused to allow us to exchange the damage TV. The only option they offered was to give us a $100 discount for a newer model. In essence we would be paying $900 for a $500 TV. We are now stuck with a broken TV and out $500. With all the other retail options available to us, we will not be making any more purchases at any Best Buy location. read more

If you buy appliances do not have them deliver, especially Cuestas trucking. First they showed up 6 hours early, we were not there, neighbor called to tell us. They dropped the dishwasher on the microwave, and now has a dent in it, left the refrigerator in the dining room, since they couldn't get through doorway. We had new floor put down Monday and Thursday when they delivered we now have scratches in two different rooms. Now trying to get someone to be accountable for the scratches. Had to go through 4 different companies. The insurance company of the trucking company took two weeks to give the name of the trucking company and said you can contact them. If I don't hear from the trucking company in two weeks then contact them again. Bestbuy has done nothing to rectify this since they hired the trucking company. Service is completely horrible, I spend about 30 minutes in the store looking for a printer, which I had questions about. I looked around the store and there was no one there to help. I eventually left the store and went to Staples where I actually got service right away and got a printer there instead. They did not do this right and we wound up being billed from both carriers. We left the store with the understanding everything was taken care of and we were successfully moved to verizon. When exchanging a poorly working phone that I purchased from Best Buy, the associate named Myles changed my plan from a 2 gigabyte plan for $25 a month to a 1 Gigabyte plan for $40 a month. The manager there, Dennis, said that this was my fault. And that I signed for this. However, the only reason why I went to this Best Buy was to exchange a bad phone for one that worked. What this had to do with my plan, I have no idea. Why my plan would have changed while I was there, again, I have no idea. But Dennis assumes no responsibility for this and was not even slightly apologetic. Rather, he was quite rude and unhelpful. So my husband and i bought a PlayStation for Christmas. We downloaded all games and set our gaming console up. Thhen we realized the remote that came with it had a sticky button. My husband and son are now outraged by the accusation and embarrassed by all this. She yea this is sticky something was spilled on it, so when my husband says show me because we have not done anything. All she can say is oh i took it off. Nothing on the remote was wet. Then she says we can give you a new one but you will have to pay for it. Not only did she lie from the very beginning by making us drive to the store and make us think she would help. But now she is pretending to speak another language and insult our intelligence. This was embarrassing and humiliating to my family. I purchased a Bose Home Theatre system from Best Buy located in Easton PA on 9/29/2011. I originally purchased this as a gift for my husband. When I got home my husband proceeded to open the box and right away noticed the control was dirty, he also noticed that it was nothing like the one on display (since he had gone a week prior to me purchasing it). My husband works in NJ and has his own business, he told me he wanted to go with me to return the item since I clearly know nothing about home theatre systems. We went to Best Buy on 10/19 and explained to one of the sales reps and he got Chad Moyer, the supervisor and explained to him the situation. He then asked us to pick out the one we wanted. While explaining to him that we would get the one on display he was called by the GM Dennis Parry. We went to the register where Dennis told us, "this is out of my hands, take it up with Bose". I did not understand the reason for this so my husband and I were clearly "upset". We did not threaten him or disrespect him in any way, he then said the cops would escort us out. We waited for the cops as I called Bose, who by the way told me they had "nothing" to do with the matter since this was purchased at the store. The cops came, we explained the situation and Dennis said he would not help us. The cops escorted us to the car, told us they completely agreed with us and asked us to make a complaint with customer service relations, also gave us the information to the court and told us not to give up on this. Now my question is Why do we have to pay for this? Should all your customers look inside the boxes before walking out of your store? And even if we did we would never know what goes with what. They sold us a system that was completely mismatched, the control was like 2 years old, the subwoofer was like 2-3 years old also, and the component was 4 years old. We knew nothing about this until they told us. How does this happen? And how is this our fault? I told the cops that I felt like a thief and they agreed that this was out of hand, and that the manager should have used his managerial skills to better handle the situation. I would like to think that now a days no one would do this since the internet is such an open line of communication. We have Facebook, twitter, and reviews online. I will make sure no other person will ever have to go through something like this again. I will also see Mr. Parry in court, and I would like an apology for making my 11 year old daughter, my 4 year old son, my husband and myself go through this embarrassment, I never thought I would ever go through something like this. Not here in the United States where customers have a right anyway. I have already issued a complaint with your customer service relations, and I will not stop until I get the respect that I deserve and either my money back or my Bose system that I thought was purchased at your store. I would also like to add that I have been a loyal customer at your store where I have purchased and apple desktop, an HP laptop, IPod, and a 52" flatscreen TV. Had a recent experience with Best Buy...I purchased a tablet on line for instore pickup. Best Buy then initiated and included a FREE 6 month anti-vrus offer which I did mot need and never used...I did not download the software. I realized after placing the order for the tablet that i purchased the wrong one..no problem. ..if you dont pick it up within a specified time frame Best Buy automatically Cancels the order and gives you a full refund...so they said in the email they sent to me...However. when I checked my credit card statement they deducted almost $30 for the Free software. I made multiple trips to the store to show I hadnt used the software , that the package was never opened ( I assume the package contained an activation code and download instructions )...store kept telling me since I placed the original order online, I had to call online Customer Service....only problem with this was I had called online cc multiple times and they kept telling me I had to get the refund from the store....after 3-4 trips to the store And my 3rd call to BB CUSTOMER SERVICE, the CS rep on the phone was kind enough to initiate a refund. Between my trips and calls, it cost me more than $30 just in gas going back and forth to the store...wonder huch much profit BB makes on not refunding free goods which they make so difficult to return....I doubt most people would have been as persistent as I was, but it was more about the principal of the matter, than the $. I purchased from BB because they are a brick & mortar store .. rather than taking a chance on an online entity....in case I have problems with the order....and BTW I paid more from BB ....if this is their level of service, then I might as well take my chances with online retailetrs and get it for less. read more
