Day 2 mid afternoon rolled around (no Sears update)--came across Cupo Appliance Repair's number on-line. Called to see if I could establish a back-up plan. Immediately was connected to a human being (Joe) who was not only knowledgeable in what likely was the issue with our dryer, but had the parts on hand (OMG, right?), was able to provide an estimate of costs, and said you will have a working dryer by the end of the day (insert the sound of angels singing). We then scheduled service for 4 p.m. Called Joe back to confirm Sears cancelled again and shortly Joe was on his way to our home. Dryer was fixed in no time flat, he even helped us with a cabinet door. Joe is courteous, professional, knowledgeable, had the dryer up and running quickly, offered service at a reasonable price, and I highly recommend contacting him when you are in need of an appliance repair. And it's now come to the point where I am looking to purchase appliances that I know this company can service (Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Amanda, Maytag, they don't service all brands) because I've dealt with other technicians/companies and, well, to be polite, I'll pass. For example, here's a brief appliance horror story that recently happened to me when a warranty appliance WASN'T repaired by Authorized Factory Service: Recently, I purchased a new washer and it wasn't working properly. So, I called for service on the appliance as it was under warranty. And so, the "fun" of waiting weeks for a technician to arrive begins...only to have someone show up who was untrained, dressed like he just got out of a tech school classroom, looked at my appliance and tell me that he needed to order XYZ part and that it will be another X number of weeks to wait until the part arrives and that I should call back when I receive the part and schedule another service appointment (waiting weeks longer yet again). Keep in mind, my appliance is broken during all this time. That matter took 6 MONTHS to resolve! 6 months without a working washing machine. Some repair companies just don't "get it." So, what's the moral of my appliance repair nightmare story? If you can choose your appliance repair service, THIS COMPANY is the one you want. End of story.

Called the Appliance Guy because the ice maker in the refrigerator was sometimes making ice…read moresometimes not. Also, when you went to get ice thru the door we had to open & slam it to get the ice to dispense. Michael showed up as schedule and spent time diagnosing the problem. He found several possible reasons for the issues. His recommendation was to start with the most inexpensive fix first to see if that corrected the issue. So, he replaced the door switches. It worked! No more slamming the door to get ice! Just so you know the other solution was to replace the entire door which would have cost $1200. He suggestion to start with the most inexpensive solution first saved me $1000! Michael was knowledgeable about the product and potential issues and honest in his recommendations. Will not hesitate to use his service again for any appliance issues!
