Buy big box, that's right buy at a big box store who back up what their selling you. I'm tired of getting screwed by today's mom & pop's. I called about a 2 Speed Queen washing machines and was told the ONLY difference was the transmissions, one is belt driven and one is direct drive. That's only the tip of the iceberg. The TC model actually agitates clothes like a washer should. The Direct drive model swirls the clothes around, practically no agitation at all so thanks to the salesman Mike, I'm stuck with it. Your customer service person immediately said we can't get parts for this. Her attitude was less than professional and very condescending. We called another place who said what model do you have. We've been buying appliances at Lehigh Supply since we moved to the area 20+ years ago. Very competitive with the big boxen (well, it's always the same prices), customer-oriented, reality-based suggestions. The in-house mechanics are super. The occassional contracted mechanics are less exciting. We expect to head to Lehigh Supply in the future. The store & salesmen at Lehigh Supply are fairly nice. No pushy, high pressure pitches, they gave sensible advice about my desired features on a chest freezer. The issue is with the delivery. The freezer was delivered at the appointed time, however the delivery guys acted like they never saw this unit before. Upon arrival, it did not sit level on my floor. It is a basement floor, modern concrete, and quite level. The freezer rocked left to right about 3/4 inch. At first they tried to use styrofoam packing material to level it. It was obvious to them the styrofoam would easily crush. I asked if the unit had levelling feet - they said no. After they left I tilted the freezer back and there were 2 levelling feet on the rear corners of the unit; these were obviously visible. I levelled it in about a minute. Then I asked about the defrost drain. One guy said I should check the manual. The manual had very little info about the drain. I guess that is the manufacturer's fault, but the Lehigh Supply people (even 'delivery & installation' people) should have this knowledge. I've had better delivery experiences from Sears and Lowe's. read more

I have come to realize 99% of the time you will have some type of issue when you make a purchase. How the issues are handled can make or break your experience. We purchased a new Speed Queen washer and dryer and just had them installed. Had two small issues but the people at Lehigh Supply went out of their way to make it right! My 83 y.o. Moms has been getting Middle-Man Priced Appliances Here Forever. Recently, I noticed her Dryer Timer would not Uncoil. Sticks. BROKEN. So She called these dudes, & told them ( I witnessed ) "My Dryer's Timer is Broken .How much will it cost to FIX it?" Simple Question. The CustSalesREP said "We'll send a guy to Ur Home and check it out, give u an Estimate" Guy Arrives. Spends 20 mins Assessing. Says, "Yep its Broke". Cost $200 to Repair. We said, "Oh, OK, but No TY" Guy says, "That'll Be $79.99" We say "Whaaaaa???" Him, and General MNGR, who I spoke with, said, "We Charge $60 for a House Call, and $1/min Assessment" We said, "WE TOLD U IT WAS BROKE !! We had service on our Samsung refrigerator due to no cold air circulating in the refrigerator section. After being told the needed part would be sent to our house in a week and not receiving it, we contacted Sears and were given the runaround for THREE WEEKS before finally being told part is on backorder (which they could have told us from the start). HONEST! I called requesting a service call for the bottom freezer on my refrigerator. I explained that it had an icy buildup and "snow" inside. I also had the light go out and replacing the bulb didn't help. The man who I spoke to said it sounded like the drawer was left open and that is what caused the icy buildup. When I mentioned the light not working, he stated that it could be ice crystals in the switch that turns the light on and off. When I hesitated, he said, look I can make a service call but I really don't think you need one. Well, I made sure nothing was holding the drawer open and left it closed for hours and the ice disappeared. As for the light, I fooled around with the switch when the ice was gone and it came back on. Thank you for saving me the inconvenience and of course the cost of the service visit. read more

Well, I'm just wasting my time, because Lehigh Supply is always, always, always the cheapest. The sales folks work with you to find you the absolute best product for the best price and they'll deliver it for free too. I've never heard anyone say something bad about them. Usually the coversation goes like this: "So, I'm buying a new dishwasher from Lehigh Supply..."; "Lehigh Supply? I love those guys. They're awesome."; "OMG, seriously, I know. I can't believe people buy appliances elsewhere. I'm so glad I found out about them. They're the best!" Seriously. I've had this conversation at least 3 or 4 times with folks. read more

After several days of investigating wash machines , we bought a high end washer with all the bells and whistles at lows. I felt a nagging dread about my soon to be delivered machine. The reason being my experience with he washers has been less than desirable. I came across the old fashion speed queen and started reviewing all the comments. I sat and read 672, almost all favorable comments about thie plain Jane washer. We proceeded to go to lehigh Appliance on Broad st in Bethlehem and we were greeted by 2 men that seemed to be the least pushy sale man I have ever dealt with . They were incredibly knowledgable and answered a zillion questions.We purchased a speed queen washer, plain vanilla and I told my husband I think I lost my mind buying a machine with an agitator in this day and age. Well! I must say that I have never been happier with a purchase in my life. This washer iis amazing. lowes was great about letting us cancel. . My laundry is brighter and cleaner, I put an old towel in that never got clean in my high end wash machine and the speed queen got every bit of dirt out. I do not miss the digital readings, nor the bells and whistles. It is like a blast from the past that provides me with more efficiency than I ever anticipated. I am still marveling with each load how clean my clothing are. Two dials and a few selections and I am on my way...I can soak my clothing and do 3 loads in the time that I used to do one. It is gentle on my cloths and the spin cycle is great, my clothing are not in a ball and I do not have to untangle a mess like I did with my old high efficiency. It comes in white and I have to say it is a no frills in appearance...but I am totally in love... I guess the old adage don't judge a book by it's cover is true for wash machines, I could go on and on , instead just do your self a favor and try the speed queen , you will not be disappointed.I will return to lehigh appliances when I am in need , as they are a small store that delivers solid knowledge and made my shopping experience actually a fun Saturday outing, they were low key and also very informative. I needed a new element for my older wall oven. First call, woman in service told me it was discontinued but someone could come out and measure the opening for a new one. She didn't even try to find a sub. I called back for the part number and searched myself. Called back, talked to a salesman and after a little back and forth, it was decided that they would get the part and install. One week later, I called, talked to another salesman and was told I would get a phone call when the part came in. He didn't check at all. Two more weeks later, spoke to the same guy, got the old phone call story. I asked him to check if was indeeded ordered and he stated "I can't find any paperwork" to which I replied "then it was never ordered". This guy goes off ranting about the parts going up and if I know where I can get it I should and install it myself. I guess I expected to hear "I'm sorry that was missed but I will order it now for you and we'll be out as soon as possible" but that never entered the conversation.
