Inappropriate daycare center the way me and my children were treated. They wanted services for my…read moreyoungest daughter there who is waiting on a second opinion requested by services this daycare recommended and pushed for a evaluation. The evaluation they asked for refused to provide services. After that they have been inappropriate. They won't give you incident reports or you have to push for them. One time my child needed X-rays from a possible finger that could have been fractured, this happened right during different long emails from Elina complaining about my 2 year old. and the other two were bodily fluids involved, I never got written incident reports and unknown if the other parents with children in the room received them. As we left today their worker worked, Elina, parked my vehicle with my children in and made us wait for her to get done then smiled at us knowing my autistic child just had to leave her daycare she is established with as her everyday routine and her worker that was there and me as a single mother might lose her job today. She drove very close to my car with my children in it. I take off work for this childcare center even if my child needs a bandaid put on at their request but no incident report give. They said if they call or put it in the app that is all they are required to do. Also if they have a hard day I pick them up leaving my employment. Because I was in a car accident that was a surprise financial burden and another thing that was being fixed well known by the owner they added more pressure by kicking my children out permanently and unexpected this morning. They use a excuse of payments but know very well they were getting paid and their transactions I was looking through because according to their statements I over paid them last month and wanted to clarify on this. They also said if a parent is late they can't return until the funds are paid, wrong they terminated my children today completely even though I was paying my co payment today. I dropped my children off with no knowledge of them not being able to be there today, prior evening was given a amount to pay and was emailed after I left and almost to work to turn around and get my children. The ladies in the office couldn't give me the incident reports I asked for again today. They got paid from the state already this month. They refuse to report many things unless forced by the state laws of reporting. Wisconsin Shares Child Care Subsidy Program paid them this month and my children didn't receive that amount of time of care. I wouldn't trust this childcare center and what happens behind closed doors. Also you pay a tuition fee over 200 a month. They had me bring lunches, snacks, and breakfast for my children and wouldn't even feed it to them half of the time. Would sit out in room temperature most of the time wasting our grocery money.

If I personally could give the childcare facility 0 stars, I would. When you send your child to…read moredaycare, you are trusting strangers to care for your child, but have great hope that the child care facility has done an in-depth review of the teachers they hire to care for your little ones. On 3/15/23 Ms. Janet (one of the teachers currently employed at Kiddie Academy) decided to twist my son's ear, because he and several of the other children were running around during nap time. However, I did not become aware that something had transpired until Thursday morning, when my son became distraught, crying and falling out because he did not want to go in the class with the teacher. Not understanding the full extent of what happened and believing what Ms. Luisa (the Director) shared about the kids running around during nap time and a teacher yelling into the classroom on 3/15/23, he attended daycare on 3/16/23. When he got home on 3/16/23 he had bruises on his left leg that resembled a hand print. Upon seeing the bruises, my son's father and I met with the Director to share our concerns. At no time were we offered the ability to view the video of the classroom on 3/15/23 to fully understand what transpired, nor were we able to see what happened on 3/16/23 that caused the bruises on my son's legs. To-date the only option offered was an apology and forgoing paying the 4 week cancellation fee. Ms. Janet is still employed at the facility and no additional action had been taken. As I am still exploring my personal options on how I'd liked to proceed in this particular situation, I thought it best at a minimum to post a review to hopefully help another parent avoid a similar situation.

The staff is unbelievable and they go above and beyond to make sure we are informed on a day to day basis on the progress of our children. I love this school and recommend them highly without any reservation. Angelika, Natalie and Stephanie are amazing! Tell them I sent you!

The warm environment and beautiful facility made the decision to sign up our son very easy. Our son was one of the very first students at TGS Yorktown nearly one year ago and started in the infant classroom. The staff has always been extremely communicative, caring and understanding. The updates and photos throughout the day allow us to rest assured knowing our child is in a wonderful and fun learning environment. As he transitioned to eating solids, gained more independence in his motor skills, and began talking, the teaching staff has consistently provided incredible care and paid close attention to his developmental milestones. I think back to our decision to send our little one to daycare, how stressful and anxiety-inducing it can be as a first time parent, especially during a pandemic, and smile because I now cannot imagine our life without the amazing staff at TGS Yorktown!

The people at The Gardner School of Oakbrook Terrace have helped to raise our daughter to be the beautiful, smart, hilarious, creative, sweet little 5-and-a-half-year-old lady she is now. These women have changed her diapers, fed her nutritious meals, played with her, read to her, soothed her, encouraged her, loved her, taught her, shaped her, and helped her grow in every way possible. They've helped me be a better mom (& teacher, too). They've helped my husband in myriad ways as well. The teachers, administrators, and other staff are supportive and caring in all their interactions. The administrators were understanding whenever "life" happened and you needed to bend protocol to make all the things happen, whatever they might be. In our case, when our daughter was an infant, we actually pulled her out of TGS for a 6-month period because she was getting sick so often and so intensely. (Former preemie with low immune system plus she had the stereotypical childhood recurring ear infection.) When we decided we wanted to have her return, TGS welcomed us back with open arms. And...no matter what...every day during high traffic/morning drop-off/evening pick-up times, one of the administrators was there with a smiling face to greet parents and families at the front door. That meant more than it might seem on the surface. First of all, there were plenty of days where I blew into the building in quite a mood from my own long, trying school day with 100+ kids, but after I was greeted by a smiling Ms. Natalie, Ms. Jen, or Ms. Brittany and walked to my daughter's classroom, that interaction had managed to shift my focus to what kind of day my child had. Second, consistency is key with children and at TGS, it's demonstrated even in this area. Third, knowing you can count on that presence at a particular time makes it simple to plan quick verbal check-ins with TGS staff. The teachers were forever gracious about everything, including me dropping off incredibly late in the summer. :-P Enrichment teachers like Coach Janelle helped our daughter explore ballet, gymnastics, and theatre in a friendly, safe environment. We counted on Chef Nicole to prepare and serve tasty, healthy food several times a day every day & she always delivered. Most of all, we knew that daily our daughter's classroom teachers were doing absolutely amazing things, instilling in her a love of learning and an understanding of how school works... Ms. Angelika, Ms. Abbey, Ms. Tameka, Ms. Jessica, Ms. Angela, Ms. Jennifer, Ms. Cassi, Ms. Adriana, Ms. Ann, Ms. Anna, Ms. Lonnisha, Ms. Vanessa, Ms. Elyse: you are forever in our hearts. Beyond everything mentioned above, these women at TGS Oakbrook have always understood who our daughter is. That means they know what she responds well to and what she needs in order to feel safe, loved, & happy. It also means they knew what gaps needed to be filled and what she needed to work on. So at TGS, she has learned soooo much about how to be brave, to write, to play with friends (or to play alone when she's not feeling it!), to wash your hands at all the right times, to listen when others speak, ... Because of TGS Oakbrook and the women who work there, my daughter will walk into kindergarten at our neighborhood school the most prepared she could possibly be. And for that, we are forever grateful.

First, all the children at kiddie academy are smiling, laughing, and having a ball. That tells you something big right there! Second, they have an awesome service of taking pictures of my son throughout the day and emailing me fun pictures, when he took a nap and how long, what he ate and how much, and what they learned or experienced like painting, dancing, singing, sign language gestures, etc. Third, it turns out my son has an issue with milk - it was no problem for them to switch him to soy. They're all very talented in their observations of my son and are able to spot things (they caught he had a slight fever one day & they always give me constant communication on how he's doing). The staff at Naperville's Kiddie Academy are the best of the best. The teachers in the infant room were wonderful as are the teachers in the 1 to 2 year old room. Although we haven't experienced all their rooms, while walking down the hallway, they all appear to be interacting enthusiastically with the children, again, all the kids are having a blast, and as Tatiana (who signed us up) said when I asked her why I should sign up with her rather than kinder care - "we really don't compare" and she was right. This place is super clean, new, communicative, and unlike kinder care, they hustled for my business. My son has been here four months and loves it.
