We've been involved with the learning process (thank god) and have gotten emails from the s C oil when it comes to parents being concerned about politics being dragged through our schools. They seem pretty focused on education and play. My son has improved immensely and although he doesn't like waking up, he's usually very excited about going to school, what happened at school and what he learned. He always says "hey, that's one of my site words!" We had Mrs. Rachel in preschool (he fell in love with her). She held his hand every step of the way to get on the bus and took a picture of him riding in the bus with her and smiling and sent it to us. This was after he was crying and begging us not to bring him to school because he was scared of the bus for the field trip. His Kindergarten teacher is Mrs. Schaefer. He has loved her since day one. She says she likes to use him as a positive example for other kids and she's sent us pictures of him having fun as well. He's going to be heartbroken when he leaves in a few weeks. We met both of the teachers. Very down to earth, goal oriented, you could tell they love kids and are great with them. Even the teachers aids he has had good relationships with. So glad they didn't give up with some potty training mishaps. They have a reward system for when you're being a good person. Great counselors for the kids if needed. Their are some really passionate and protective teachers and staff around this school and I feel safe with him there. Not worried about anyone trying to change him. Just growing his brain and who he is. Not judging him for not being artistic or liking Singing. It will be a hard transition to go to another school for first grade, but I'm really glad that he was able to start out here in this safe school. There are always extra curricular activities and fun days. Right now they're counting down to the last day of school and celebrating each day. So Bittersweet. I see a lot of diversity in the school as well and he's picked up on a few new words in other language with his friends. Thank you Parker!

They were planning on demolishing the building a few years ago to make a new one, but that would've just raised everybody's taxes. They should've just fixed the basic quality of life stuff because from the outside the building is architecturally beautiful, especially for a high school.

Harlem middle school, let me think... Well 2015 was 2014 and it was 2013. so what should I talk…read moreabout? Well recently I've been doing a bunch of research on the building found out that it was being used as the high school before it was actually a middle school. With millions of kids that I've gone in and out of that school year by year by year! I mean I basically mean nothing to the school by how many people go through it. I'm sure there's going to be people looking at this review in 2020 and stuff thinking that it was boring in 2015 but for us everything is getting better and better and better, well kind of. We've gotten computers, Internet, and my favorite, student wifi! But there could be looking at this review that went to school here in 1980 seeing how different it is. Besides all of that, The teachers are getting nicer and nicer. I've had mean teachers last year that it is getting replaced by nicer teachers! it's becoming a better place and just being awesome. I remember coming into seventh grade and being scared of everything, but now it's just like whatever. Now the computers are getting replaced the laptops, and the laptops are getting replaced with chrome books! I'm just trying to think back in so when they had really old stuff! Speaking of really old stuff they have TVs that we watched channel 1 news on every day that look like they're from maybe the 60s! They turn on and just give them horrible noise like a dog whistle. The Internet speeds are up to 150 Mbps on the download speed and 70 on the upload speed.
