Plus I've heard some staff yell at the kids, one has even cussed at one of my kids. I work at Oregon School District in Transportation and on a couple of my routes there are preschoolers who have trouble getting on and off of the bus so I assist them with the stairs but what irritates me is if I wasn't there to assist those kids, the bus driver is legally not allowed to leave their seat to get off the bus if there are still some kids on the bus, that's why Best Beginnings needs to do their part. The staff needs to open the door walk over to the bus to help assist. Because if one of those kids decides to run off on Best Beginnings property and the bus driver is not allowed, legally, to leave his or her bus with other kids on there then it is solely Best Beginnings responsibility to make sure that kid or kids are safe and sound. My point is that the staff need to be off their phones, I get it they have lives and kids as well, break time is a great time for that just like any other job. They need to meet the kids at the bus door when they get off and on the bus because of safety reasons. To top it all off, Best Beginnings needs to have random drug tests for their staff just like any other job.

He loves going to school. They teach so much that by the time he was 2.5 he knew almost all his letters and numbers to 10. He now at a little over 3 is learning letter sounds and I am just amazed that they can teach so much to a 3 year old. His previous daycare wasn't even teaching him colors and shapes. They go above for the kids and send me pictures in their app through the week.

The Campbell Center for Historic Preservation Studies. The building and grounds was formerly the…read moresite of Shimer College. The college was founded in 1853 as the Mt. Carroll Seminary. It was renamed Shimer College in 1950, when it began offering a 4-year curriculum. The college left Mount Carroll for Waukegan in 1978, and Campbell Center bought the campus. The transition from abandoned college to Campbell Center took many years. The site was administered by Restoration College Association, which changed its name to the Campbell Center for Historic Preservation Studies in the mid-1980's and in 1990 the Campbell Center's first director began developing a curriculum devoted to historic preservation. During the interim period, the beautiful site was used for a number of activities, including arts and crafts fairs and folk dancing performances. The photographs (taken by the girlfriend of one of the dancers) show a folk dance group known as The Kickapoo Cloggers accompanied by their bluegrass band, Stone Soup. The Kickapoo Cloggers were led by Mr. Bill Kreamer. If you look closely at the members of Stone Soup, you can see a zither, hammered dulcimer, banjo, and a woman playing the "bones." They are not real bones, but they are flat wooden sticks. Alternatively, bluegrass bands may include a musician playing spoons. This particular performance is distinguished in that the front of the stage started to sag during the performance, and I have other photos showing young men inserting bricks under the stage while the dancers are performing their maneuvers. I think many folks are glad that the former college still resembles an Ivy League college campus, instead of suffering some alternative fate. Sorry, I only have photographs of this one particular part of the former Shimer College campus, that is, the stage with the folk dancers. At the same time, there was an arts and crafts fair, and I bought a wooden train whistle that makes a multi-toned toot when blown.

A beautiful well maintained park with walking trails,picnic areas and even an observatory…read more Most trails are mowed and looped. Bikes are not allowed in the trails. Mainly grasslands with a few area with trees and native plants. One of the nicer parks in the area.

Lovely park to visit while in Ogle County with easy, well marked trails through prairie and…read morewoodlands. We spent about an hour walking the loop and observed 38 different species of birds. They have an observatory and you can visit the Jarrett Prairie Museum free of charge where kids can do some hands on learning. The expansive deck is a great high point to observe the prairie. Open daily. Admission is free.

I have two children in this school. and it is fabulous! they love it there, and we love them…read moregoing to Faith. their education is exceptional, their teachers are wonderful. and the price isn't bad, (as private schooling goes) I highly recommend this school.
