I was told that the caregiver were well trained and some were certified teachers, Well they are not ! seem like they just hire anyone! This teacher don't have the love for their profession they are just there for a paycheck. Safety is a concern, they don't always have someone on the from desk, people could just walk in and out and no one would even notice. They don't care about your child's needs !!! They would look for any excuse to kick your kids out because they don't want to deal with it. They'll tell you they are there to help you But that's not true they are there just to get pay. They don't have any fun activities with the kids. They will punish your kids and not let them go to the playground with the rest of the kids just because they had a bad day. And don't be surprised if your child get bully teacher act like they don't see or hear anything. save yourself a trip and find another daycare.

We love this location!…read more I've been going here off and on since I was a kid and used to beg my mom to come play in the kids area, pool and racquetball courts. As I got older I enjoyed the weight room, indoor track, sauna, and eventually, now that I have kids of my own, REALLY enjoy the daily childcare. There is truly something here for every age group. Not to mention the staff are over and above friendly and I feel like every time I come I'm family. When I was a kid I definitely took for granted how lucky we are to have a facility like this. I didn't know any different. But now after traveling a lot for work and using other Y facilities, I realize how great this location is--not to mention it's the 6th biggest one in the U.S.! They have lots of programs and classes for every fitness level if that is your thing, and have events throughout the year too. They do so much good for our community and my wife and I can't say enough good things about the Y. Plus it's very affordable for everything they offer. A membership here also entitles you to access several other Rockford Y facilities in addition to a majority of YMCAs around the country. We've been members at other health clubs/gyms around town but this is our favorite. We think everyone should be members!

There are only 3 lanes available; and if you go anytime after work, good luck getting access to the single lane that they condense lap swimmers down to due to swim lessons taking precedence. There are weird "safety breaks" that occur throughout the day and the last time I was there, I was in my final 25 lengths to my 2 mi swim and was told I had to get out because the lifeguard "deserved a break" (her words, not mine). Mind you, I was the ONLY person in the entire aquatics area at this time. And, she was wearing street clothes; not even a swim suit. I assured her I was of no concern to her and asked if I could finish my training. She suggested I "read the signs" As soon as my training comes to an end, I will be leaving this location. Their lack of employees, specifically lifeguards, should not negatively impact paying members. If I could submit more complaints, I would.

Our kids have always enjoyed going and have learned more than enough to be prepared for Kindergarten in the fall. They cover every base you could ask for... safety, integrity, academic, and fun. They have an excellent play area that's private, the classrooms are well organized with fun activities, and they even go on field trips to the Discovery Center and Summerfield Zoo. Got Kidz is well worth every penny as it is not just a day care, its a school. I would gladly recommend enrolling any child, and we will miss everyone there!
