The classic kid's game 'tag' is not permitted to be played on the playground. There is a hill on the side of the school and they do not permit kids to climb it. I grew up with tag, so that's disappointing. The education itself, I don't remember very much. I remember how awesome my fourth grade year was, and that was because of the teacher. Unfortunately, that teacher is no longer there because he was transferred. The same principal, Ms. Warner, that is there now was there when I attended. I miss my child-days.

Finding a new preschool turned out to be the easiest and best decision we've made so far! Some of our new neighbors casually mentioned Algonquin Preschool, so we scheduled a visit. My little guy was immediately comfortable with the teachers (and he's usually very shy at first!) and they let him stay and play as long as he wanted to. We immediately felt that this was the school for us. The environment was warm and friendly, and you can tell that a lot of thought goes into the planning of the classrooms and planning out the school year. The teachers all genuinely care about your child, and the focus is on PLAY. Play is the way preschoolers learn, and my son has shown so much social and emotional progress in his first year of school. We're so happy with our decision to send him here, and are so excited to send him again next year before he goes off to kindergarten :)

The environment is warm and nurturing, the staff really cares about the children and you can tell they absolutely love their job. Michelle the director is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. She goes out of her way to explain the preschool program and the process which is is so important to families sending their child to school for the first time. The curriculum was fantastic as well. Not only did my child learn about God's love but he came home saying some words in Spanish, singing new songs, making cute art projects and even writing his name! None of these options provided optimal class sizes, and through my investigation I came to see that the methods developed by Dr. Maria Montessori were critical to the development young children. I was thrilled to find Children's House Montessori School where my children received specialized made-for-them scholastic development. While my children are both still very young, other parents with children that have gone through Children's House Montessori School explain that children leave with above average skills and the confidence to use them. Very grateful for the school, program, and exceptional teachers that love their work and their students.

My daughter had undiagnosed Dyslexia. This teacher (according to other moms with kids who'd come home with the story) verbally berated her for 10 minutes straight for not remembering to read a passage. She learned a lot and got along swimmingly with other children, but that one teacher soured my impression of the school as a whole.

When you send your child to…read moredaycare, you are trusting strangers to care for your child, but have great hope that the child care facility has done an in-depth review of the teachers they hire to care for your little ones. On 3/15/23 Ms. Janet (one of the teachers currently employed at Kiddie Academy) decided to twist my son's ear, because he and several of the other children were running around during nap time. However, I did not become aware that something had transpired until Thursday morning, when my son became distraught, crying and falling out because he did not want to go in the class with the teacher. Not understanding the full extent of what happened and believing what Ms. Luisa (the Director) shared about the kids running around during nap time and a teacher yelling into the classroom on 3/15/23, he attended daycare on 3/16/23. When he got home on 3/16/23 he had bruises on his left leg that resembled a hand print. Upon seeing the bruises, my son's father and I met with the Director to share our concerns. At no time were we offered the ability to view the video of the classroom on 3/15/23 to fully understand what transpired, nor were we able to see what happened on 3/16/23 that caused the bruises on my son's legs. To-date the only option offered was an apology and forgoing paying the 4 week cancellation fee. Ms. Janet is still employed at the facility and no additional action had been taken. As I am still exploring my personal options on how I'd liked to proceed in this particular situation, I thought it best at a minimum to post a review to hopefully help another parent avoid a similar situation.

I remember all my sibling's and I would come home with fun arts and crafts! They gave us an opportunity to grow. My cousin now comes here he always shares the fun things he did and whenever I pick him up he has the biggest smile on his face they make everyone feel special and proud of who they are they gave me the best experience I could ever ask for!
