Her and I have had several jobs done by Michael @ Patriot Plumbing in the past. I asked her for the number to Michael, thinking it was Michael @ Patriot Plumbing. In her phone directory she had Mike and Michael. The first one that came up was Mike. I needed cast iron drain replaced that had been previously replaced by the homes previous owner and bypassed with PVC outside of the wall. One of Mike's professed plumbers showed up with a rookie helper that knew virtually nothing about plumbing to do the job. The plumbing to be replaced was in the crawl space under the house. Neither plumber or helper ever wore shoe covers to walk in and out carrying tools and equipment to the crawl space to do the job. One of the things needed to do the job was PVC for the drain. Rather than measure and cut the PVC on the back patio where they had all of their equipment, the helper was told to take the 8/10 foot piece of drain PVC through the house to a hallway leading to the entrance to the crawl space, there to be cut as need with a saw, leaving the PVC dust on the floor. When the new PVC drain was finally re-routed inside the inside wall it was protruding 3/4 inch outside the wall studs, which he estimated to be only 1/4 inch at the time that would not interfere with the sheetrock. The reason it stuck out was that the angled fittings were not aligned before they were glued. I told him that was OK at the time so I could get him and his helper out of the house and I could fix that mess. He said he leak-checked it but he never turned the water back on until he was headed to the unmarked truck when he said he would turn the water back on. I replaced the sheetrock by placing 3/4 inch furring strips on all the studs on that wall. After the wall was finished we moved the washer and dryer back into the utility room to hook them up only then did we discover that the washer access panel for the water and drain hose were not installed properly in that they did not cut out the plug for the drain hose to fit into the drain. We managed to cut out the hole that was supposed to be done before installation according to installation instructions for that cheap access panel. When the cost of $1970.00 was above my daily limit for my debit card I called Mike and told him I could not pay with my debit card, I would have to wright a check. He said he was on the road and would meet me at the DQ and asked me what vehicle I would be driving. I wrote the check for $2000.00 even cause I am 83 years old and don't want to figure out how to get that many words on the amount line. I made the check to the plumbing company that I thought I was dealing with because of the wrong phone number I was given up front and both were run by Mike and Michael. When I arrived at the DQ a man walked up to the truck and said hi. I said who are you, I don't know you. He said he was Mike from the plumbing company. I had made out the check to the plumber I thought I was dealing with and he said that was not his company. I told him I would make out another check and he said to leave the pay to part of the check blank. I am still waiting for my bank statement to see who it was payed to. After that day my e-mail started receiving requests for payment from My Plumbing Company a project of All My Services a Private Membership/Ministry Association for Invoice#001135 for $1970.00 that was considered a donation. It is now 17 days after that check was written and I called Mike back and asked about the e-mails and he said something to the effect of he forgot to mark that paid. Dealing with this outfit has been a nightmare that I am just glad to put behind me. Do not recommend ever using this plumbing company or what ever it is to do anything.

Upon arrival we mentioned what the problem was (broken outside water faucet valve) and he proceeded to check out the faucet. He went back to his truck and brought out the proper tools (2 channel lock pliers) only to find out he needed "the big guns." He brought a pipe wrench and immediately removed the leaky faucet and replaced with a proper one. We learned about the backflow preventer value and its history from Darren. He had that faucet repaired within 30 minutes. That was yesterday. Today he returned to replace our irrigation system supply line that had busted during last year's freezer. He cut out the old plumbing and replaced with a new one. He was very quick and pleasant to talk to. The owner, Joe tells me there will be charging $75.00 to estimated assess what needs to be done. He was here 20 minutes. a few weeks later he sent someone else to do the work and that was fine but the other guy left a 3 inch wide and 6 inch deep ring around each sprinkler where there should have been dirt to enclose and support the sprinkler. I called them back and the guy asked me if I had any dirt. I pointed to a pile I had just dug out of the front bed of my house. He threw this around the sprinklers, burying them completely. That's not the worst part. He did not bother to take out the baseball size rock, foot long bent rusty metal hanger or any other garbage in the pile of dirt. he just piled it all up and on top of my sprinklers. looked like crap. when I called the owner, Joe, he came to have a look. He asked ME where the original dirt that his guy dug from around the sprinklers was when he replaced them. I told him I had no idea. Then he asked me why I was not more specific with his guy about what dirt to use. I told him I did not think It was my job to micro manage his employees and they should have sense enough to know not to pile debris on top of new sprinklers. Joe was rude, short and indignant. He told me in a very condescending tone that he would have done it the same way and acting like there was something wrong with me for expecting his guy to have NOT used only the CLEAN part of the dirt to place around the sprinklers. After $400.00 to replace like 4 sprinkler heads and a promise of after service if the coverage was not correct, I can't get them back out here. How's that for service? Not so great.

I told, just go ahead and use a chrome one then, just do what you need to do to fix the sink drain. He installed the drain. It seemed to operate okay, but after few days I noticed that the rod, used to raise and lower the drain plug, flopped all over the place, but it worked so I went ahead and used it. Then it finally stopped raising & lowering the drain plug. I'm an old man, I tried to fix it myself, but I ended up calling a different plumber.
