So when I went to wash a load every ounce of water flooded into my garage. Holy friggin smokes. In a semi-panic, I searched on Yelp and came across MAM after initially calling the place that I purchased my set from many years ago, and they didn't pick up. Robert took my call and let me know that he could squeeze me in the same day. Long story short, he arrived when he said he would, dug around in the machine, found the problem and quoted a rate. I can't tell you if the price was good or not because I don't typically deal with this kind of stuff. For the amount of time he took it seemed very reasonable to me but again I'm not an expert in this area. Either way, I'm very thankful for the service that MAM provided. It was top notch and I definitely appreciate how Robert handles business and gets it done when he says he can. Will definitely use again but hoping that I won't need to. I feel confident though that if necessary I can trust him with my other appliance needs.

I did on Monday 8/17/26, I was informed the service charge would be $110.00 and needed to be paid to confirm the appointment (9am to 1pm window on Saturday 8/22/26). Also was told the service tech would call 30 minutes before arriving. At 1pm no call or show. I called them at 1:15 and was told they did not have an appointment for me or my address, asked when I made the appointment, I told her it was made on Monday 8/17/26. The women said well our system has been down since Wednesday, but we can reschedule for next Monday. I told her that was unacceptable that I will on vacation for the next 3 weeks. I told her I already paid for the service call and even gave her the bank info., and she seemed to have found the charge. Was put on hold and she came back telling me a service tech would be out between 6 and 7pm today 8/22/26. I would receive a call from the tech 30 minutes prior to coming. I called at 6:30 and they were closed. GUESS WHAT! AGAIN a NO SHOW and NO CALL. They have my money (for now, I filed a dispute with my credit card), thank GOD I didn't put it on my Debit card. I'd be out the $110.00 for NO SERVICE and RUDE customer service personnel. I understand computers go down, but really a small company like them and they don't even keep paperwork (like service order tickets on paper). I work for a multinational corporation and even we keep service orders on paper and on the computer for just this reason. When their system went down, the first thing they should have done was look online at their banking history and see who had service charges paid, It would give them the names of WHO paid and then they could have done a call back (most names have phone numbers listed for them) to see when their appointments were for. INSTEAD they called NO ONE to see if appointments were scheduled. I know that is a lot of work, but to keep your business running without angering your clients, that's what a dependable company would do. Better yet don't COMPLETELY rely on computers or the internet, keep a service order/appointment list IN PAPER. SMH what is this world coming too, such lazy people and companies. It all falls back on the person needing the services. Before closing for the day, you should have reached out to make sure your service techs were going to be able to get to appointments for the day, ESPECIALLY since you knew there was issues with appointments. Now I'll be worrying about my refrigerator, it is just the ice maker or is it something bigger while I'm on a very needed vacation. Plus, the Downey store is within walking distance to my home (across the street literally). Johnnie's Appliance - SHAME ON YOU

I explained my situation to him over the phone, and he worked with my schedule, even though it was gonna take me over an hour to get home that day. He said that since I was local to the area that he'd be willing to send a technician out later than normally, which first off is amazing customer service. We agreed on a time of when I would be home and sure enough, right on the dot. The technician was at my house ready with everything that he needed. He came in very professionally asked where the unit was and began working once I explained what the situation was going on with the dryer. After about 15 minutes, he told me exactly what was wrong, the thermostat went out on the dryer and he was going to verify if they had a replacement part inside of the truck. The whole repair took less than 45 minutes, from fully disassembling, the dryer, finding the issue, and fixing the thermostat, while also completely putting together the dryer all over again and testing that the heating element was working properly. I was originally going to go with one of the repair teams that my dryers manufacturer recommended, but Mr. Vic and his team absolutely blew the price out of the water. This is the first time, and definitely not the last time, that I would be calling Mr. Vicks to Service any of my appliances. You have definitely earned a customer for the long haul.
