My friends and a lot of locals on Facebook recommended Jose Contractors. I gave them a call and John arranged to give me a quote. Everything was very professional - the written quote specified exact costs, the names and amounts of all materials and spelled out everything that would be done. It was much more complete than quotes from other local contractors. John moved my house up on the schedule because the roof was so bad, and his crew did an amazing job. They showed up on Friday the 14th, couldn't work the 15th because it was dangerously cold, and resumed work on Monday the 17th. They were done on Wednesday the 19th and my house looks fantastic. They cleaned up my property so thoroughly that it looks better than it did before they started! John and his crew were in touch every step of the way. hey had to do a complete tear-down, removing layers of old shingles. The roof was rebuilt with new plywood, shingles, new flashing on the chimney, and new gutters and leaders with covers. It really looks amazing. I highly recommend them.

Our estimate was provided via email with pics of our roof, outlining in color exactly what work would be done on the roof visually and the proposal provided the written details which includes their warranty. Very detail-oriented. The price was fair and reasonable. The work done by his crew truly highlighted their craftsmanship - top notch, superb. The crew was very professional and efficient. For the most part, the crew cleaned up but left a few debris on my lawn. When I called Alberto about it, he quickly had an employee from his crew at our home the next day to clean it up. To me, that speaks volumes about a company and its owner. I was not ignored or 'blown off' about the debris after the job was done. I highly recommend AP Roofing. You will find Alberto to be very knowledgeable about his craft. I waited before writing this review right away. Instead, I wanted to give it some time to see the 'after affects' of AP Roofing work once it rained. On March 5th it down poured something CRAZY and since then we got more crazy rain and crazier winds. No leaks is what I expected and that's just what I got - NO LEAKS! He went on…read morethe roof with me to measure and give me an estimate, after he examined the roof he tolled me there were 2 layers of shingles to remove. He gave us the lowest bid as there was another roofers that gave us bids and I was concern about his low bid. I tolled Davve I wanted timberline life line shingles and he tolled me that's all he uses. After signing the contract and the job was about to begin Dave said he needed another 1k as there were 3 layers to remove now. Not being happy about this discovery after he had already examined it before the contract, we agreed as we only had a week left to get a new roof on or the insurance company was going to drop the insurance on the house and we were still saving 2k from the next big we got. I come home on the 20th of February at 3:30 to discover Dave was hed started the job and was about 80 percent finished but he had tolled me that it was to cold that day to do the roof so I was surprised that he was there doing the job. I noticed the bundles on shingles on the ground said KIO Cambridge shingles, I went over to Dave and said these are not Timberline Lifetime shingles, he said they are the same stuff and walked away from me, at that point I new i was being robber by Dave and the Dilollo Brothers Roofing. Cambridge shingles cost 20 a bundle and Timberline are 35 a bundle, so 15 times 45 bundles is 675 dollars Dave just stole from me. And Cambridge shingles are a poor quality shingles. If I didn't come home and see the bundle of shingles I would have always thought the shingles on my roof were timberline shingles.I wonder how many people he has don't this over the 30 years he claims to be in business for. The workmanship was also poor. He used old aluminum pices on the lower roof were the shingles run up and meet the outside wall then put nails in the aluminum and throw the roof creating holes that will leak over time. The back roof he didn't put and aluminum to transition from roof to outside wall and it looks like crap and exposing holes in the build were water can get in. He didn't rape the weather guard over the roof eves before the gutters went up and now all the fascia boards are exposed to the weather. The new gutters were installed so low from the roof edge that we can't put gutter guards on. This has been a bad dream, a contractor from hell. I hope this review will prevent another person from being ripped off and getting a bad roofing job. Very unhappy with The Dilollo Brothers roofing. There are a lot of good honest roofer out there and Dilollo Brothers isn't one of them. You have been warned.

Contractor quoted a price and after several proposals we decided to choose Mr. Pinto. Initially Mr…read more Pinto requested that before he would provide proof of insurance he needed us to sign his contract. We agreed but after further questioning Mr. Pinto said he only had liability insurance and not workers compensation which he said is why he was so much lower, he also said because workers compensation is too expensive. We told Mr. Pinto that in order to begin work we would need proof of his liability insurance and a signed hold harmless agreement for bodily injury to which he agreed. Shortly after Mr. Pinto said he made a mistake when he 1st arrived and stated that we had 2 layers of shingles and that would be more money. We had him draw up a 2nd proposal for that amount pending obtaining his insurance and our signed hold harmless agreement. The following evening Mr. Pinto texted me asking if we would like repairs to our chimney and I declined. Keep in mind he has not signed our hold harmless agreement and we have already given him a 50% deposit at this point. Also prior to any of this Mr. Pinto demanded that we wire the monies to his PNC bank account to which we refused and stated we only pay in checks to keep account of monies. He then added a condition that was NOT on the original contract to which we had him revise to correct again. Finally he said he made a another mistake when measuring our home and needed an additional $3,000 before even starting work on our home so I told him to just forget the whole thing and to return my monies. He then became rude stating he doesn't need our money to which I cut the conversation short. I don't think Mr. Pinto is professional at all and probably does't have any insurance at all. Stay far away from this contractor. I gave him a deadline to return our funds but if not I fear we may have to take Mr. Pinto to court. Will update as to status.

I finally found these guys on here, and they came to take a look. They got on the roof, and found the issue, almost immediately. They explained to me that over time, nails that are in the roof, tend to start popping out, and that lets water through. They hammered all the nails back down, and also caulked around the second floor bathroom window, just in case it was coming from there. Needless to say, not a drop to be seen, and the work was done about a year ago. Also the cost was a fraction, of what I thought it might be. I highly recommend them. Good work at an honest price. (And I like to see and have the problem explained to me, and they did that.) The only reason I gave them 4 stars, is that I asked for a quote, on some additional services, and they were a bit delayed on getting back to me...

In September, I hired them to tack shingles down on my roof. There was poor communication about when the work would be done. When the agreed upon day came, they did not show up. I called and emailed to confirm and Claudio said that the guys would be there at 9. It was already 10:30am at that point. I had to go to work and clearly requested via email that they not complete any work unless I was at home- I did not receive a response to this email and called to follow up. After hours of no communication, I was told that they would come another day. I was already frustrated at this point, but needed the work done. Finally, the day came and when Claudio showed up, he was by himself. I asked if he was going to complete the work by himself because the roof is pretty large. He told me that the guys had already come to do it on the first day (where I had to contact them and was told they'd be there at 9am). He was there for my payment. He insisted they came that day, but it isn't true. I was there myself and I think I would've known if someone was on my roof. Furthermore, even when I left to go to work, I have cameras on every side of the house. I was watching the surveillance and no one showed up. I paid him, because I don't believe in cheating people out of earned money, but after my insurance company came back to inspect them roof, it is clear that no work was done. Or was not done to completion (if I'm being generous). Stay away from this company. I've contacted them to have them come back and finish (or start) the work and have been met with voicemails and unanswered emails. I will be contacting the BBB, because this is unacceptable.

I also wanted the air conditioner sleeves removed from the brick face and the bricks infilled to match the existing brick face. John, the owner, worked with me to do the job in the manner I requested. For the four built-in air conditioner wall sleeve units to be removed I wanted all the half bricks adjacent to the window sleeves replaced as I did not want to leave "scars" on the brick face where the sleeves used to exist. John went out of his way to source bricks that matched the multicolored bricks used in my home that was built some 65 years ago going to several masonry suppliers to source bricks that best matched. The results were just what I requested and envisioned. The company also repaired two balconies and replaced broken and cracked bricks throughout my home. The work was very professional and John's crew was very respectful of my home. The price for all the work was very reasonable and there were no surprises regarding the contract price we agreed upon for the job. Also, John kept me informed of progress and issues in a timely manner and was receptive to any questions I had regarding the work. I was informed of the quality and brand names of the materials to be used, especially for the bonding of new concrete that was applied to existing concrete and the stainless steel mesh used in the repair of the concrete patios. Each day, before leaving at the end of the day, the crew cleaned up the job site and left the area broom swept. The work was done to a very high professional standard and because of this my neighbor is using Capital Home Improvement and Home Design to remove their air conditioner window sleeves and infill with brick - the same as done on my home. John informed me of the start day for the work on my home and continued the work until the job was completed. When the rainy weather did not allow work to continue, John offered, at my option, to work on Saturday and Sunday at no additional charge. I accepted and we were able to use those sunny weekend days to keep the job on schedule. John went over the working hours with me before starting the job. Each day the crew arrived on time and worked until the end of the day. I observed that the crew worked safely and diligently. You could tell that the entire crew knows their craft and that they worked well together. I found Capital Home Improvement and Home Design when they were working on two neighbors homes replacing stairs that led to the second floor and that had the first floor entrance within the steps. I saw that they did a great job matching the bricks and that the work was neat and professional. I also saw that they made sure the portion of the steps that included the first floor entry was professionally waterproofed to ensure no water infiltrated into the first floor entryway. I was very impressed and I chose this company because of the work I saw that they did for my neighbors. I can recommend Capital Home Improvement and Home Design without reservation. They are an honest professional company that does what they say they will do, cares about their reputation and wants to ensure their customers are satisfied. I highly recommend this company for your masonry lintel and brick replacement.
