I called at 3:45 pm expecting that I had missed my chance to get my hair cut before I had to leave town and somehow they were able to squeeze me in before they closed at 5 pm. My hair cut turned out perfect, the prices at the salon were amazing, and Mary Beth was friendly, attentive and truly listened to what I wanted for my cut. What blew me away the most though is just how much Mary Beth seemed to truly care about me as a person vs. just trying to upsell me like I have seen at other salons. When I asked her if she thought I should get my hair highlighted soon, instead of pushing me to make another appointment like most salons would just to make make more money, Mary Beth said she thought I didn't need to and that I would be better off giving my hair more of a break/that my natural hair color looked just fine. I will be back for sure and I can't say enough good things about this salon!

Boy was I WRONG! Michele, from Long Island, is the quintessential nail professional! She knew just how to do my gel nails (not just gel polish) and tips. She was very receptive to my very specific requests. She was friendly, funny and very skilled. The personal attention was a real treat! The salon itself SHOCKED me, as it was absolutely gorgeous. Clean, modern, elegantly decorated and meticulously kept. I felt like I was in an exclusive, private spa at a 5 star resort. Michele does a GREAT JOB. She's highly competent and my manicure lasted way longer than usual. I was also very pleasantly surprised at how nice her little room was decorated. It was super clean as well which is always very important to me and an issue that most often prevents me from returning to a new salon. I will say it took me several tries over a number of weeks and months to get an appointment but I am very glad that I finally got in and of course, made a follow up appointment for the next time. The cost was a bit more than I normally pay but for great quality, it is well worth it. I look forward to seeing Michele again soon.

That said, my stylist followed my nit-picky and occasionally ambiguous directions, took her time and did it right, gave me a good shampooing, and it looks great. (For only $12? Damn.) My cut is extremely even, which is a feat, because the default state of my combed/picked hair is a perfect sphere. No complaints. To the person who said "I told her to trim a little off the sides of my head and she decided to take out a buzzer and buzz my whole head" - If they pull out the clippers, and you don't want them to, bring it up. Or if they already started buzzing, let them know immediately. If they don't care, leave. It's not just a transaction where you tell them "I want this", sit back for 20 minutes, then be disappointed. It's an interaction.

Cheyanne and Jess did makeup and hair for my mom and sister in law - and they looked beautiful.
