Well, I ended up with bright orange hair in the back and I would go back and back. Getting the same brassy color and the same hair cut she would always give me. One thing is for sure I can turn my own hair orange all on my own. I also believe we just didn't communicate well and I feel we just didn't mesh. Which is okay not everyone is meant to like everyone. The good thing that came out of my experience with Laurie; is I now go to a skilled stylist, and my hair looks great now; I go to a skilled stylist. The business is very accommodating with appointments. They also have other stylists. I do not know about any other services they offer. Or how the other stylist is.

What blew me away the most though is just how much Mary Beth seemed to truly care about me as a person vs. just trying to upsell me like I have seen at other salons. That said, my stylist followed my nit-picky and occasionally ambiguous directions, took her time and did it right, gave me a good shampooing, and it looks great. (For only $12? Damn.) My cut is extremely even, which is a feat, because the default state of my combed/picked hair is a perfect sphere. No complaints. To the person who said "I told her to trim a little off the sides of my head and she decided to take out a buzzer and buzz my whole head" - If they pull out the clippers, and you don't want them to, bring it up. Or if they already started buzzing, let them know immediately. If they don't care, leave. It's not just a transaction where you tell them "I want this", sit back for 20 minutes, then be disappointed. It's an interaction.

Just wanted to share my great experience at The Clip Shop this past weekend. I needed my hair done…read morefor my wedding at Mass MOCA and Bella did an absolutely perfect job. Cheyanne and Jess did makeup and hair for my mom and sister in law - and they looked beautiful. None of us wear a lot of makeup usually so it was really great that they were able to glam us up while still allowing us to look like ourselves, and be very natural. Highly recommend. Michele does a GREAT JOB. She's highly competent and my manicure lasted way longer than usual. I was also very pleasantly surprised at how nice her little room was decorated. It was super clean as well which is always very important to me and an issue that most often prevents me from returning to a new salon. I will say it took me several tries over a number of weeks and months to get an appointment but I am very glad that I finally got in and of course, made a follow up appointment for the next time. The cost was a bit more than I normally pay but for great quality, it is well worth it. I look forward to seeing Michele again soon.
