Shop owner conduct's business out of a car wracked with cigarette butts and computer parts…read more Business card looked professional, however. 22-JULY-2022 1300hrs, I delivered an Alienware X17 Intel i9 11980HK 4K RTX 3080 16GB GDDR6 Samsung 2TB x 2 PCIE v4.0 (RAID 0) 32 GB 3466 MHZ RAM gaming laptop, without any bootable operating system, following a confirmed appointment: I had repeatedly wiped the SSDs using a builtin BIOS utility and failed after many attempts to flash the BIOS firmware, in an attempt to remove UEFI based rootkit crypto mining malware which hijacked my GPU and disabled Windows updates. My only interim patch was to disable the mux switch. Crippling my laptop and goal to use the laptop as a central hub for content creation. 23-JULY-2022 1219hrs, The shop owner called me and confirmed the presence of BIOS malware, which had been my suspicion. However shop owner refused to replace BIOS chip integrated into the motherboard and went on to explain the BIOS malware had performed a DDOS write on my Seagate Firecuda 530 SSD and burned the chip, which I know state sponsored malware can do when tampered with... But I can always buy a new SSD. Replacing an entire motherboard however is an entirely different beast... The state sponsored malware most likely came from one of four places, of which I will not elucidate: 1. A sketchy adult website involving females, kittens and or yes horses !!! 2. Installed by street gang members, during oem build process, or during shipping, on behalf of foreign governments, such as North Korea, for delayed or remote payload activation. 3. Switching operating systems and or usb devices from Linux to Windows (can reintroduce and or reactivate windows targeted malware) 4. Downloading the entire wikipedia.com for a machine learning project (26 GB) I digress: I brought the laptop to you! You are CompTIA A+ certified! Why not replace the BIOS chip?? I hate malware. It was at the point it would have cost me over 800 bucks to fix it. I called around, some places never called be back or they wanted a ridiculous amount of money to look at. As I was doing research on repair places I came across Computer Serenity. Robert called be back.I explained the problem. He said he would come out and look at. I was so impressed that he would come to me. I wouldn't have to lug the big heavy computer out some where. He looked at while he here. He explained to me what was wrong in easy to under stand language. He told me how much it would cost it. I was extremely happy with his price. Now keep in mind I was just going to through out the computer. Robert was able to repair it. He brought it back to me. That was so awesome. He was easy to talk to. He got back to me in a timely manner. It's very rear when someone impresses me . I have to say Robert did. I would say if you have any computer problems or phone problem. or networking issue. He…read moremounted my tv with the mount I had purchased from Amazon but then showed me how he could make the tv look so much better by concealing the cords but this would involve installing a new power outlet. SCORE! I needed to have this done all along and never actually did it. I was planning to have the tv mounted, buy a long cord to plug it in and then once I had the chance, I'd get that outlet installed to make life easier. I didn't realize this at time but when I purchased his services on Amazon, I didn't just hire any old person to come and mount my television. I hired a licensed electrician! He installed my power outlet, mounted my television, concealed both the power and cable wires and even marked my electrical box in the basement! He did a hell of a lot more than those Geeks at Best Buy! (That's a fact, btw, I'm speaking from experience). There was an additional charge for installing the power outlet but it was a very reasonable price. He was very patient, didn't rush through his work and made sure we were happy .
