They brought out toys for them which kept them happy and busy playing! They had a booster seat for little Jacob and gave the the most adorable breakfast - including fruit cup up in the shape of a dolphin and strawberry fish with chocolate chips. Some things to note: -Kenn is an architect, see if you can get him to talk about the history of building the inn -The Inn is dog friendly!! -Snag the gazebo is you're wanting some privacy -Bring hiking boots and explore the nearby trails -Book early... there might be times you can be spontaneous, but for big weekends (alumni/reunion, commencement), the rooms book up WAY in advance

Breakfast offerings change daily and she uses the freshest ingredients; I'm super picky and every option sounded scrumptious. It was hard to choose just one! HIGHLY recommend the Gazebo room; it is a standalone room situated towards the back of the property and is very private and romantic. The decor is simple, yet elegant. It includes an oversized jet tub, spacious bedroom and bathroom and mini fridge. There is also a fireplace in the room and is stocked with lavender toiletries. My boyfriend and I appreciated the attention to detail in this room. We will absolutely be back! Madeline and Ken were happy to recommend activities and restaurants as well. There is a lot to do in the area and I cannot wait to visit in the fall. Parking off-street, wi-fi, delicious cookies and juice served in the evenings, beautiful grounds and the list goes on. It was actually the highlight of the Ithaca portion of our trip, even more than the four or five wineries where we stopped for tastings. We only stayed one night…read more It was nice and included a delicious breakfast that gave more food than the two of us could finish, including baked goods, fruit, milk and coffee and tea and juice, and scrambled eggs with some veggies and cheese mixed in. We were asked in advance if we had any dietary restrictions, and there was no sense that special food requests would be any imposition. Rather, the owner seemed very concerned with making sure we had the best experience possible. We had a two room suite, as it was the only room with a king size bed available. (My husband rolls around too much for us to share any bed smaller than a king.) The suite had a second bed in the other room of the suite, a comfy twin size I laid on while watching TV. The cost of the two room two bed suite was favorably comparable to a single room at a niceish hotel. The decor is...aggressively quaint, very kitschy, but unobjectionable. There was also free wifi, not super fast, but perfectly adequate for checking email and other light use. The wifi is unsecured, so you won't want to do anything sensitive over it, like banking. Couple fairly minor downsides-no elevator, which isn't a huge deal in a two story house, but I don't think they had any first floor bedrooms, so I don't think the location is handicapped accessible. Also, we weren't told at check in that the pool was part of the property (we thought it might be a neighbor's.) Had we known, we definitely would have made use of it. Overall, this is definitely a good option if you're staying in the Ithaca area!

Wonderful bar for drinks…read more I like the quieter and calmer atmosphere as well as the soft lighting. The interior decor is very cosy and slightly eclectic. I came with a friend on a weekday evening and it was pretty empty which was nice. We tried the ruby slipper, braulio sour, and the mango lassi. The mango lassi is incredible! One of my favorite drinks I have had! THe ruby slipper and braulio sour were also quite tasty but I preferred the ruby slipper a tad more. Overall, I would recommend Argos Inn and now definitely need to try Argos Warehouse soon!
